As if their ridiculous prices weren’t enough to keep me away, this store just gets dirtier every time I find myself desperate enough to stop in for something. Management seriously needs to get a grip on this place.Side note: an employee (who was outside of the entrance smoking when I entered the store) walked up behind me as I was taking a photo of the entrance to the bathrooms and sarcastically asks, “Did you get it…?”Yea, I got it.

The deli staff are great but they are out of chicken when I come to get some after work. Like completely out. And no subs. Must be a management issue.

There is nothing more despicable than seeing not 1 but 3 employees standing at the self check out with brown paper bags in their hands. Acme is overpriced enough without multiple employees guarding bags in a shameful attempt to prevent customers from taking what should be free to begin with.

We went to Starbucks to grab breakfast and I liked the egg bites and spinach feta and egg white wrap . They were so good.

Good place for shopping. The prices are higher than other supermarkets, but often sales and discounts are present. Vegetables and fruits are always fresh, as well as meat. Nevertheless, it is not a very convenient place to go there if you do not have a car. The good thing is that using "west loop" route, you can easily reach this place from the UD campus. The road around is very busy.

Every time I buy produce from here, they are always spoiled within 2 days. Or they’re on the shelves spoiled contaminating the other produce. I bought these mushrooms on Thursday and I am writing this review on the following Saturday afternoon. They have been sitting in my fridge for not even a full 2 days. These are spoiled. Disgusting. Baby Bella mushrooms are spoiled if they’re slimy and have dark brown spots on them. These are littered with said spots. When I went shopping there on Thursday night, I was looking to get some fruit. Every shelf/bin with fruit were infested with fruit flies and you can clearly see the moldy, rotted fruit amongst the cleaner ones. Please do better.

The overall price of this acme supermarket product is about 15% more expensive than target and shoprite, probably because of the concentration of foreign students living in the surrounding area.

Aside from a great selection of food, frozen or fresh, I've always loved the florist and the constantly changing plants or bouquets she dedicates her time making for the community. Also as a great side note the citizens bank inside the acme shopping center has the most friendly staff and they are always willing to help while at the same time doing what they do best as fast as possible to get you in and out. Perfect moment to bank right after checking out or as you walk inside the building.

Love this store. Very clean and very nice staff. Recently had someone snatch my wallet as soon as it fell from my pocket and security couldn't be bothered cause she was in a meeting. That was disappointing behavior. But the rest of the staff working that day did try to help me look for my wallet. If security would have done their job immediately the guy would have been caught on sight. Newark Police ended up having to step in and thankfully found my wallet since the guy was clear camera, continued to shop for a bit, then use his number to check out. Maybe a meeting on putting real time crime happening as a first priority for security team! Still a beautiful store and highly recommended this place.

I had 4 items on my shopping list. 3 of them were on sale and I bought something that looked good but was new to me. It was 25% off also and when I got home and drank it I was very happy. This item will be on shopping list next time. Store big, big aisles, well stocked, and very clean. Quick self check out was fast!

Today I had the best experience, while visiting my local ACME supermarket. Initially, I was upset about my inability to find pomegranates that were supposedly on sale. However, the gentleman in the produce section stopped what he was doing to locate a sales paper. Unfortunately, the item was not listed in the advertisement. As a result, the kind gentleman sought out and answer from the produce manager in the back of the store. A minute later he was walking from the back with pomegranates in hand. To the employees in the produce department thank you for delivering five star customer service.

This is not a good store. Its prices are higher than most other supermarkets in the area, and its quality is nothing special. For such a large store, there is a lot of stuff I want to buy but can't find here, and a lot of products I just don't want to buy. For these reasons, I almost never shop here, dropping in maybe around once every other year to pick up one or two products that I can get here that other stores don't sell. It's a shame because I'm in the area frequently and it would be convenient to drop in, but it's just not a good store. My preferred stores in the area are Food Lion for a mainstream supermarket (a basic supermarket, cheaper, and about the same quality), ALDI for a high-quality German supermarket with discount prices, Trader Joe's for its general weirdness but pretty good quality and prices, and the Newark Farmer's Market on Kirkwood highway both for cheap produce and diverse ethnic foods, especially Mexican, East Asian, and Indian / South Asian. Given the selection of these other stores, this store has little appeal to me.

This is a very nicely done up Acme . The food shelves especially in Deli and Bakery make it easy to find the food and storage makes sure it is fresh. Only disappointment was not being able to find Bone in center cut Pork. Had to go to a different Acme and decided to get sauerkraut there. They only had Hatfields there while I prefer Kunzler.

It's a little pricy but well worth it!!! Suburban Acme has so much selection, organized, wide aisles, and great checkout. I consider this my most favorite place to shop when I'm in need of the "best" service and most delicious items.

Normally I love shopping here, however I got a new cashier named Sarah and her young guy trainer. Both had attitude to my comments of being ignored while scanning. Sarah was talking to the trainer while scanning my food items, without greeting me and asking for my card number and if I needed bags. The young guy tried to help bag, but bagged incorrectly according to acme bagging standards. I was tired and in physical pain, stressed out about my MRI and possible knee surgery. When Sarah disclosed that she was new, I said that I would keep that in mind and tried to smooth things over. But then she just snarky with me, saying she was doing her best with a yeah she's new back off attitude from the trainer. At this point a guy comes in the line shouting at me for holding him up. I paid my bill, reminding the guy he just got in line a few seconds ago.And as I was bagging my last bag of groceries, Sarah sprayed heavily cleaning fluid by my food items. And when I asked her to stop, she would not.

This store is clean and organized and the staff is always super helpful - basically the complete opposite of the other ACME in Newark. The produce section in particular is really well-stocked and maintained. Be sure to check the expiration dates on everything you buy. Great deals and rewards with the ACME app.

Won’t be going back since they followed me around the store and was creeping over the isles to make sure I would check out. Was extremely uncomfortable the whole time. I was near the front to buy flowers for my mother and one male worker cuts me off and asks if I had a receipt and I replied no because I haven’t checked out yet. I turn around to go back to the milk isle because I forgot something and he just continues to follow us and look over the isles. I was creeped out so I went to one of the cash registers and then he yells over telling me to go to this specific cash register…. So if you want to be creeped out and have your every move watched, this is your place

Since moving to this area a few years ago I have been supportive of this store. What used to be a store with good quality items has now and for a while not been the case in my opinion. The quality of the meats have consistently gone downhill and the staff working that department are rude. I have had those staff members come from the back and literally walk in front of me to stock items and use their carts to move me out of the way. This is also prevalent in the produce section. I returned a snack item packaged in a plastic container this summer because the snacks tasted like plastic. The customer service associate stated to me that it was in fact an off brand so what should I expect. I never return things but this was so bad I felt it should be brought to someone’s attention so someone else buying it would not get sick. Regretfully I am done with this store.

I am not an usual Acme Shopper,, but this Acme Store is immaculate and shelves are constantly being restocked. Employees are very helpful and engaging. With inflation and sky rocketing food prices Acme has very competitive prices and BOGO Specials in every area helping you stretch every penny. Normally I hate self checkout but when you're shopping hungry you tend to pick up more than your budget allows for. So I chose self checkout where I could monitor my splurge and could watch what my spending a little closer. The young man there didn't get irritated when I had to put items back and there were no frustrated customers in line behind me😊I want to send a special thank you to the Seafood Department for extending Outstanding Acme Customer Service! You guys rock! and put a smile on my weary face you made me feel special. Thanks Acme you have a new Life Time Customer! 🤗🙏🏽🇺🇸🌎😷

Look. The grocery store is pretty good, but what you really need to experience is their drinking fountain. OH MY GOD it is the best drinking fountain that you will ever drink from. The water is near laminar flow, which I’ve never seen. It’s got a nice strong stream that is tall but not too tall so you don’t have to bend down too much, and the temperature isn’t freezing cold like every other fountain, which is spectacular for me because I have sensitive teeth. The push button works extremely well, and even has four fingers that you can match your fingers on when you press it. If they change anything about this water fountain I will be incredibly upset. It’s right by the men’s bathroom, which is dilapidated and filthy, I might add. The stalls will not lock properly. But the fountain is exquisite.
