After losing my childhood dog I was certain I did not want another dog. I took my 5 and 12 year old girls into look at the puppies just look. Well I fell in love with one of the puppies and felt so strongly he was meant for our family. The women there were so kind and clearly love the animals and care for them as if they were their own. It was and continues to be an excellent experience as they provide the rest of his shots.

I've never used pet services at this place; however I was impressed when my neighbor called me to advise that the site had a rescue dog & they were trying to find a home for the animal. While not in a position to help, my heart did melt (and I figured I'd place a post to further the cause). This is a great example of extraordinary work💯🤗

Good place to get items for your pets however they should REALLY check on the beta fishes. Some of them are dead... 😞 Would be great if they put all of them in a tank instead of being in a small soup cup.

We purchased a puppy in January of 2023. He came with complementary grooming. We got all the necessary paperwork. Booked his 1st grooming appointment last week. When we arrived we were told the groomer had an emergency and had to leave. Things happen we understand. We were not rebooked rather instructed to call and schedule another appointment. This was done and we were all scheduled for today. We arrived at 845am for our 9am and waited in line with the 3 other pet owners with 9am appointments. When we got to register we were informed we had No appointment today or any other day. When we asked to speak to the groomer we were told she was too busy to speak with me. I found this to be very unprofessional. The customer friendly answer would have been they are currently busy but if you have a few minutes they will come out and speak with you shortly. Give me the option to wait or not. Again there was no offer to make this situation right. This was not my 1st time using their grooming services. My previous dog that I had for 12 years had been using their service since they opened at this location. I am disappointed with how we were treated today. No regard for our time or long time patronage. I will never use there services for anything ever again.

We called and reserved a yellow lab, they said yes to the reservation, so we drove an hour and got there on time just to see them selling him to another family. The staff is very unprofessional, irresponsible, and rude. They never apologized either, the lady’s excuse was “the other family got there first”! If you’re looking to purchase a puppy here, don’t!!!!!

On 6/24/17 I purchased a silky terrier from this establishment. I was told that the puppy was healthy and had all of his shots. The dog would not eat and barely drank I purchased the food from the pet shop that the dog supposedly had been eating. After having the dog for 2 days and him not eating or drinking or showing any active signs I called the owner Andy (whom was very nice) and explained the situation he immediately met me and picked up the puppy. On 7/2/17 I picked up the puppy he seemed to be better but by the evening the dog was nearly lifeless again. On 7/4/17 I spoke to Julie and told her yet again the dog was not eating or drinking. We met and although it was already discussed that I wanted a refund she came without my money. I was told that I could pick up my money on 7/6/17 when I got there she wrote me a check which was drawn off a bank out of Delaware I went to deposit the check only to be told that it couldn't be accepted because I was not filled out correctly. I immediately notified Julie of this and asked that she refund me in cash because I've already been inconvenienced a great deal by purchasing a sick dog and not to mention all of the food and accessories that I can't return. Of course she didn't and I had to pick up and deposit another check. She was very nonchalant to say the least and unapologetic for this entire ordeal. I'd never purchase anything from this store EVER!!!

Wonderful people! Julie & Andy, the owners, are terrific. I have 4 dogs & I take them for grooming on a regular basis. I have also boarded my dogs with them at their home when I went on vacation. Their pup are raised with their children in a family environment. Their employees are knowledgeable about the products & pups they sell. Today I took my neighbors matted Maltese for a grooming consult with Anthony & Ashley. They told me to come back in 2 hours. I was glad they could fit Riley in their busy grooming schedule today. When I went to get Riley he was so darn cute! He is now once again a happy mat-free puppy! Anthony & Ashley did a wonderful job on the puppy. I recommend Back To Nature to anyone looking for a groomer or a puppy. Did I mention I bought 2 dogs from them? I am looking forward to getting another puppy from them in the fall. These puppies ARE NOT from puppy mills, but from trusted breeders with excellent reputations!

I go here to get my cats claws trimmed. They do a great job if there is someone there who will work with cats, be sure to call first. They also have good pet supplies. The puppies look healthy and they look as though they are cared for, but I'm not sure if they are from puppy mills, so I will not purchase unless I'm certain.

VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THEIR SERVICE!!!!My kids wanted to see a puppy and the lady told my husband that the dog was not allowed to be pet because he was stressed, unless we were 100% sure of buying him. Later, I approached her about another dog, and she immediately raised her voice at me saying that all the animals were stressed and were not allowed to be held. I told her "OK" and in a nice way made a suggestion to her about maybe putting up signs or advising people as they are walking into the store that pets are not allowed to be held at the moment. The lady continued in a very rudely almost yelling at me that "customers take the signs off because they get upset about not holding the pets." At that time, I turned to my family and told them to that we were leaving and the lady decided to make a last nasty comment saying "If you don't understand it's not my problem" (this came after I was done talking to her, had turned away from her and was about to walk out of the store with my family), it was a completely rude and unnecessary comment!!I had previously bought a dog there (the rotti on my profile, which I love and adore). However, I can guarantee that if I would've been treated the same way, I would've just walked out and never bought him. I can also guarantee that I will never purchase anything from that store and will deter my family and friends from going there. I wouldn't want them to be mistreated the same way my kids, husband and I were.LEARN HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS AND TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS, AS YOUR BUSINESS DEPENDS ON THE CUSTOMERS!!-A customer cannot guarantee that they want to purchase a dog, before or after they hold the dog.-If you are truly concerned for the dog's safety and well being, you should have already put up a sign, strip, or a wall that would keep people away from the dogs. Yet, she was willing to take the dog out if we assured her we were going to purchase it.

Absolute terrible service and disrespectful to my wife, me and my family. After being a repeat client who spent $1300 on a previous pet I thought it would be nice to look at another one. After being told that the dog was too tired to hold UNLESS I was really serious about buying it my wife inquired and was basically told the same. Then figuring they really don't want to sell the dog we were verbally accosted upon leaving the store. As if we didn't understand you didn't want to sell. Sh*t its amazing your still in business.

Donot buy any puppy from btn the one we bought was very sick she had paraites 2 kinds we only had dog one day and she had diarrhea so bad had to rush her to vets they took me puppy was very sick and need 3 weeks of meds...all i want from btn was the vet bills paid...i called my credit card company they are disputing the charge...she wrote a check to me for vet bills then stopped payment...im ready for court i have all the proof i need i will also ask for miss time from work due to running back and fourth to vets and my. This place knew dog was sick and yet still sold it..please dont buy a dog from them

Back to nature is by far the best pet store I have been to in the tri state area. I bring both of my dogs there regularly for grooming ( standard poodle & cocker spaniel ) and I have NEVER had a problem. Both of my dogs absolutely love coming there and are always so excited to go and excited after they leave. Whenever I need help with a question they are always on top of it and very knowledgeable about their products. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND coming here ! Always A happy face in there ! THANK YOU ANTHONY, JOHN, AND KELSEY FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO FOR MY BABY THEY LOVE COMING TO YOU GUYS !!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased a puppy (Yorkie/Bischon mixed) less than two months ago. The puppy had maybe 4 or 5 siblings. I scheduled an appointment with the Vet as soon as I could to ensure that the dog was healthy. The dog had Cocidia which is not worms but parasites found in his stool. The dog had diarrhea, mucus and blood in his stool. It is contagious to other animals and if not treated it can be life threatening. Which means his siblings also had Cocidia. I purchased a monthly plan from petsmart to ease the cost of anything that came up. I was charged a little over $13 for the puppies medication only and went back to the pet store to get a refund for that medical bill as it's stated in the agreement. The gentlmen (Owner) didn't give me any problems with that refund. The agreement covers 20 days medical charges , however, it takes time to see results after the prescribed medication so of course, 20 days was not enough. I was back and forth with the Vet to ensure the puppy was ok and still waiting on the next visit to confirm. The dog is adorable! However, this pet store needs to ensure these animals are FREE of any issues before putting them up for sale. I did go back to the store with all my receipts hoping to get a refund. The lady there said she would talk to her husband and get back to me....Never heard a word from them. I strongly suggest that if you purchase a puppy from them to ensure that all issues/problems are resolved before purchasing and if possible, use your own Vet to evaluate. My family has already got attached to our fur baby and it hurts my heart to send him back with other contaminated puppies. I hope this helps anyone that is looking to purchase from them. I hope the owners read this review and take my advise!

We had been looking for friendly hamsters for three years. Hamsters these days are puppy milled in most stores, never handled, are feral, bite, run away etc. BTNP hamsters are beyond sweet and friendly, DONT BITE!, handle well, and from day 1 not afraid of us. Within days of having them they were treat trained to climb onto our hands happily. Healthy, happy. We are really satisfied. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful.

The only reason I go here is to visit the puppies. If they weren't so extremely expensive I would take one home. The staff at the cages is rude ( heavy set young adult with an attitude problem) but I do enjoy seeing the babies and giving them a little attention so they don't live out their lives behind those bars

Store is stocked with everything you need but the animals are always so sad! I don't know why I torture myself stopping by to see the dogs everytime I am at the market. No water in bowls, dogs laying in diarrhea and most of the time they look like they have been drugged. I'm almost positive none of them are healthy enough to be adopted. So sad the store owners don't have a better environment set up for the animals

This used to be my choice for grooming my dog . She would always haul a** when I came to get her . They don’t get all the hair , I don’t know why . It’s just semi ok . I actually was about to make an appt for her but I’ll try somewhere new . Price is too much for so so service . Several times I’ve asked them to make sure they get all hair after cut , yet she comes home and it’s like she was never cleaned . After 4 years I no longer will patronize this establishment.

Like the place but there are 2 ignorant employees that work there other than that this is one of the few places that deserves 5 stars. Always have everything in order and priced neatly on shelves. Great selection of pets. Have seen baby sugar gliders, baby ferrets, rabbits, dogs, cats, ect...Almost everything you could need out wasn't for a pet you'll find here for a good price.

Do not, under any circumstances, have your dog groomed here. I wanted to try them out as an alternative to home grooming and PetSmart, but I regret taking my Banjo there. What they did to my poor baby's face is Horrible!! Now, I can admit to being a terrible home groomer, but even I have never left him looking like this. (Please added pics) He still has scraggly long hairs in his ears, the cut is not even over his entire body especially the legs and the hair was not trimmed from the pads of his feet. He looks like I gave him a haircut, not a professional dog groomer. I was waiting to see the groomer but Banjo was shaking and looked so terrible that I had to leave before I started crying. Once I got him to the car he shook himself out and hair went everywhere! I'm not a fan of the PetSmart grooming due to the chemicals, cost and all of the dogs that are there at any given time, but at least they never left him looking like this. Oh, and of course I paid full price for this terrible wack job. Stay far far away from here!!!

It looked like their hamsters had mange. Six hamsters all in one cage, that couldn't be more than 10 gallons max, with giant bald spots and scabs. They looked horrible the poor things and they were attacking each other too!

After having our dog tested found it he is not the type of dog we were sold. Luckily he is a healthy dog. Wouldn’t trade him for anything but feel paid a lot for what the breed he was suppose to be.

I bought a a dog from them later finding out the breed they told me he was he isnt. I was told we is a goldendoodle but later finding out he is a newfoundland poodle. Cant trust this place. DO NOT BUY A DOG FROM HERE!
