I cannot say more good things about this fine establishment! We took our bunny to be examined for some sort of ailment and while we were there, my son barfed all over the floor multiple times. The staff was incredibly helpful to my wife and my son providing them with care and making them feel comfortable despite all the barf. Thank you all for your kindness, patience, and compassion and not making my son feel bad at all for barfing all over your floors! I was slightly disappointed that My bunny died during the exam which was unfortunate but you can’t have it all . 🤪OK just kidding!!!!😝😃 the bunny actually did great 😊 and you guys were awesome!! Your prices are good too and we can’t wait to come back!! ( minus the barf!). Thank you again Petco in Middletown !! you guys rock!!!!!!😇😊

I love the staff at this location they always have my dog looking amazing when he comes in for a groom and always treat him with such care. Today I picked him up from a groom to find him with the most adorable bandanna! My stylist is Becky and I will always be returning to her! I hope everyone has such amazing experiences with this location as I have.

If you're looking for a pet grooming establishment that genuinely prioritizes your pet's needs, I suggest searching elsewhere. This specific Petco branch displays a lack of professionalism and enforces discriminatory policies regarding medical conditions.I had scheduled a grooming appointment for my Yorkshire Terrier a little over a week ago and was contacted today, three days before the scheduled date, to be informed that it was canceled due to her medical conditions. It's important to note that she has been groomed at a Petco in Pennsylvania multiple times without any issues.The reason provided for this cancellation was unacceptable. I was told that Petco does not groom dogs with any medical conditions. This justification is not only discriminatory but also contradicts my previous experiences with Petco, where my dog was groomed without any problems.These concerns should have been addressed promptly, not a week later. The delay in communication reflects a lack of professionalism and disregards customers' time and expectations.When I tried to discuss my dog's medical conditions, which are not visible; they're internal and do not affect her grooming process, I encountered further discrimination. The General Manager insisted on mentioning my dog's anxiety around other dogs, implying that this made her unsuitable for grooming services at Petco. To clarify, my dog's anxiety around other dogs is irrelevant to her grooming appointment. She does not interact with other dogs during her grooming sessions.Hopefully, this review will help others avoid similar discriminatory treatment at Petco.

The groomer did not groom my dog’s eyelashes properly while grooming last Sunday and should have fixed it then and there that day. Today Wednesday I came in for a quick fix, and they said they would attend to after they returned some customer’s dogs. But then they said they were closed (it was only 4 pm) and asked me to come back tomorrow. I also found out from my Veterinarian today that my dog’s anal glands were incompletely expressed. What a way to win me over as a new customer!! I believe I will speak to management, if they have any! Management has changed during the previous week.

I was coming to this petco for years for my pets. Their aquatic section is always so poorly ran. I bought 8 neon tetras from them (I shouldn’t have because they looked a little sick) but I felt bad because their tanks at petco are always in poor quality. All 8 of them died within 3 days and my tank is well established with life that has been present for years. Every time I purchase aquatics here my water gets some type of disease. I mean look at their aquatics, nothing but dead fish. Then they want you to pay for vital pet for each area of the store. Be more consistent before making someone pay monthly for an aquatics section that looks like NOBODY TAKES PRIDE IN IT. Spend more money on labor and have someone that knows aquatics running it. Shame on you. I won’t be returning here even for my dog food. 👌🏽

Great service, they took great care of my kitty. Very knowledgeable, professional, polite and caring. I accidentally gave a negative review for the wrong location at first and I do apologize for that. So this is me correcting it. I drove almost two hours to have my kitty seen at this location and it was well worth the drive. Thank you again so much for all of your help and checking in on us to make sure that recovery is going well. You guys were great. I appreciate you for accommodating me and being thorough in the care provided for my kitty! Thank you again!

Sad to find this store no longer stocks the food my fussy eater likes. And check the prices as they are scanned. A sale was advertised on the shelf but I didn't realize I didn't get that price until I was home. Not worth the gas money to go back, is a little annoying.

Seriously? I took my senior 4 pound dog there and as soon as he started barking they said they couldn’t take him because he was a bite risk😂😂I have NEVER heard that before nor has he ever bite anyone in 15 years. Come on LOL

Thank you mean girls at Petco grooming, for your ugly behavior towards Pepe when I bought him in for service. This was the universe way of telling me, I can do it myself and save $70, during this inflated economy. It propelled me to do something I have been putting off for sometime. I ordered these amazing Pet Clippers from Amazon, as you can see, he looks amazing!

I went to Petco for a "Happy Return". Who knew that was even a thing? It went very smoothly and the counter sales person said it is used fairly often. Very cool.

I have been extremely disappointed in Vetco since we transferred over as part of Atlantic Vet. Last time I waited an hour for the doctor to come in for my scheduled appointment. This time I had an appointment for my dog to get her nails trimmed. The Tech came in and was telling me she needed her distemper and rabies vaccine. I had to tell her We had the tither test done in July. I would think the Tech would have read the records. Then I was charge $68 for a comprehensive fee. I asked what that was and the receptionist said the check done by the doctor. I said the doctor never came in the room, the receptionist said well the tech asked the questions. I told the receptionist I was never charged a comprehensive fee when it was Atlantic vet and the rude response was your not with Atlantic vet you are with.Vetco. It is a damn shame that Vetco overcharged for a nail trim and vaccination. Needless to say I am in the process of changing vets.

Petco in Middletown is reliable and gets the job done when it comes to Immunizations and groom. This location will be opening a petco hospital which is even more convenient to have all services done in one location. The building is new and clean.Pros: location, service is great, Immunization clinic on sire with the ability to book online, rewards program, and grooming. The app is neat as it is a convenient means to review a pets profile and rewards earned.Cons: the prices for products are a bit expensive.

Needed to get a new harness for my dog. One of the Petco associates were able to provide great guidance, and showed us a really easy and simple harness to use. I had purchases and a return, and was able to do it in one shot instead of two different transaction, that was so amazing, I can rarely get that in any store. Thank you Petco for making that such a easy experience.

Friendly and helpful customer service!! The employees are very very nice and very knowledgeable on many topics. Soon as I walked in a was greeted and asked if I needed any help. I was able to talk to them and they pointed me in the right direction. Huge selection of pet toys , foods and treats for all types of pets. They also have a few cats that need homes. I have gotten my pets groomed here many times and they always take good care of them whole they are there. Pretty reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this Petco to anyone needing any thing pet related .... Thank you once again and we will definitely be back again...

I like this store a lot, I appreciate a place that has sales on items, and they're always nice and helpful. The store is very clean and well stocked at all times.My only issue is that they give a super serious 22 questions interrogation before you can get any fish. I've worked at a PetSmart myself before and we weren't allowed to simply deny someone from buying fish. But that's what they did to us here. They demanded a water test from us before we could get fish. I've had fish all my life, I shouldn't have to share every detail about my tank and then still be told no because I admitted I didn't test the water that day? No thank you.So, we went elsewhere for the fish. The fish are still alive btw. I bet their fish sales would rise if they would stop with the silly interrogations.But other than that! The store is wonderful and I enjoy coming here often. The cashier I recently had was a young man and the most kind and patient person ever! I will have to get his name next time to compliment him properly to his manager but I was so frazzled one day recently because we're in the middle of dealing with a very sick cat and I forgot my money in the car and he was so sweet he let me run out really quick and his whole attitude was just awesome. I will definitely shop here for my kitty's and turtles. 😊

I wish the refill for cat litter was closer to the front of the store. It would make it easier to carry the full bucket to the front to check out. Also, I wasn't aware of the Friends/Family event until I received an email after my visit. Cashiers should suggest using this discount, it would save repeat customers and gain new ones.
