I attended a wedding there this weekend although the venue venue was just absolutely beautiful, the owner was a complete nightmare. She was rude not accommodating and I think if you were thinking of having a wedding here beware. I’ve been to a lot of weddings. I’ve never seen the bridal suite closed and locked until after the ceremony. It was a very windy day, so if anyone needed to touch up their hair, you were not allowed or just to have a quiet relaxing few minutes to yourselves before the reception starts, that was a hard NO. After the liquor was delivered, she immediately put a padlock on the door like we were going to be going down there and stealing it. Absolutely no liquor allowed upstairs in the bridal suite which I have never seen before ever. She was rude. She dressed like she just got done shoveling manure you were in the hospitality business you could at least dressed appropriate !! She was yelling at people that they were not allowed to get another drink at the bar before entering the reception. I would definitely do your research before picking this as your wedding venue.

Lovely wedding venue! Outdoor ceremony near the back of property and under the shade of big beautiful trees. Nice outdoor cocktail hour area. Inside Air conditioned reception area with bar. Beautifully finished hardwood floors. Really nice and clean restrooms too. Late evening the firepit was lit, which was a nice touch! Friendly owners who were on-site from start to finish.

We love McCarthy’s and were able to find this gem this year. It’s not always easy to find a tree that fits our particular taste. We’ve been successful here 3 times in the past 5 years with Canaan or Fraser firs. I look forward to all those baby trees growing up. It’s a beautiful farm steeped in rich history.

McCarthy's is a small family Christmas Tree with an amazing gift shop. There is a blacksmith on site crafting original pieces. The staff dress in period costumes which is a real life history lesson for children. the hospitality is number one with hot cider and cookies! People who complain about the size of the trees and prices haven't visited the numerous farms or lots in the tri-state area. I've found tall trees that are overpriced and small ones just as overpriced. If you need trees over 8ft, I do suggest going elsewhere. Yes, it is road in and out so no, you can't bring a large trailer but a small one is fine. I think if you open your heart and mind, it is about the experience and McCarthy's gives it to you. It is fabulous!

The workers were extremely helpful and friendly. The free hot apple cider was delicious. The had a cozy outdoor fire that was relaxing and even though they had a bad crop one year the trees where still beautiful for the price. I recommend for anyone to go there if your looking for a great tree. :)

Pleasantly surprised by this tree farm! The people working there were extremly personable and helpful. I'm so happy we found this place. Some folks were dressed in period costumes, there are blacksmiths actively working in a barn making beautiful Christmas decorations and we were offered hot cider and cookies. When we found our tree my husband went back to get a saw, but after a few minutes two boy scouts from a local troop came over and finished cutting it for us! They have wreaths and roping and lots of the 'extras' you always end up needing. We had our dog with us and when they saw we left him in the car they told us to bring him along! (They must be leashed and remember to bring clean up bags, in case.) We highly recommend McCarthy's!🎄

This farm has a nice gift shop and hands out free hot apple cider. They have pre-cut trees as well as ones you can cut down yourself. However the actual tree lot is rather small with a very limited variety of tree types.Be aware: the Navigation sends you down the wrong property. When you turn off the road onto a gravel path, look for the McCarthy signs at the entrance.

There were very few (if any) trees that were actually ready to be cut down. Really disappointing.

The owner Lynette turns this potentially beautiful venue, into your worst nightmare!

First time going and might have been my last but I’d go there again just to see the blacksmith again. He’s a cool dude and his work is pretty damn good.
