I would also give this store 0 stars if it was possible. This may be the single worst run facility I’ve ever visited; pharmacy, convenience store, or otherwise. The customer service is abhorrent, the pharmacy is often out of medicine or rarely fills prescriptions in a timely manner, even after receiving permission, and forces customers to come back to pick up items multiple times due to their inconsistent prescription-filling practices. To this end, and this is just the most recent occurrence, my wife was at the pharmacy last night, waited in line for nearly 30 minutes, only to find that her prescription had not been filled, despite receiving an automated phone call that the prescription had been filled. They asked her if she wanted it filled and if she was willing to wait 20 minutes. She told them to fill it but she couldn’t wait. I came to pick up the prescription today, some 20 hours later, and pulled into the drive thru. After sitting at the window for nearly 15 minutes, after waiting in a line of cars for 15 additional minutes, I was asked to come inside because they “didn’t have enough staff” working today. I go inside and there are eight people working in the pharmacy. I get to the counter after they turned two of the people in front of me away because they didn’t have their meds, and after I give my wife’s information, they proceed to tell me that they still haven’t filled the prescription! What an absolute joke of an establishment.Use ANYWHERE else in Middletown to fill your prescriptions if at all possible!

This CVS pharmacy is the worst. This is the third or fourth time I went thru the drive thru only to wait over 40 minutes. Unable to leave due to The set up of the drive-through line I continue to wait finally pulling up to the window. However, to my surprise, the clerk walked away, stood behind a computer, chatting and eating instead of taking my Information to get my script. I push the Service call button once and waited a second time waited again and a third time still waited with no response.The passenger of the car in back of me proceeded to walk around to the front of the building and ask for help at the drive-through window. Sadly, as if I was bothering this individual, she finally opened the window and retrieved my prescriptions.CVS. If this is the best you can do for service for people that require their scripts I highly recommend you find a new system to maintain the needs of the public for this. I give you a terrible review and fully expect nothing to be done rectify the problem.

Horrible pharmacy. I will give them credit for being friendly.. but they never have the most basic medications in stock, and will tell you “we don’t know when we’ll get it back in… it’s on back order”. Yet, you’ll call another local pharmacy and they’ll have the medication. Wish I didn’t have to use them, but my insurance requires me to.

If I could, I would give CVS a negative zero. I'm new to CVS due to a new insurance plan and I wish I could go back to Walgreens. They are slow, competent and by no means helpful. They're telling me I have to wait for days for a blood clot medication because they didn't do the transfer and now Walgreens is closed. I can't stand them already!

I do not normally leave negative reviews. But something needs to be done at this CVS. Many of us are required to come here because of insurance. And it is ridiculously awful. If I need to pick up a script, I have to literally set aside at least an hour because *every time* there is a horrendously long wait in the drive thru and the design of the building is that once you are in line you are trapped. No way to pull your car out. As we speak, there are only 2 cars ahead of me but the first car has been at the window for *20 minutes and counting * instead of being asked to pull around. This happens *all the time* here. It is not just incompetent of the staff to not ask customers to pull around if they don’t have their scripts ready. It is extremely rude. Having a son with significant medical needs, I should not have to sit for an hour multiple times a month to get his medicines.

came here three times for vaccine appointments. the first two times the pharmacist was a friendly guy who helped me promptly. the third time it was a different pharmacist who checked me in, before allowing me to rot in the waiting section for thirty minutes while helping every new person who walked up. ended up leaving without my vaccine. Would give this place 0 stars if I could. Had shoulder surgery a few months ago and it took them 2 days to fill my pain meds, then it took a week on one of the refills. Last week I was notified that one of my scripts (not pain meds) that I take all year was just canceled by them. No phone call or explanation. If you go in to pick up your meds make sure you have an hour to burn. If you question them on why it’s taking so long be prepared to be treated like total garbage.

I am hesitant to even give this place 1 star for poor service. They don't deserve a star. You can't even talk to a live person anymore, you have to leave them a message and they don't call you back 3 days later. The person I talked to said they're shorthanded and they didn't have a person to check voicemail. He told me my son's prescription were ready for pick up but yet when we showed up the next day, they were not ready.

Do not. And I cannot emphasize this enough. Do not go here. They will not get your medicine in time. It is worth driving an extra 2,037,773 mins than to try to get this pharmacy to do something competent. They will not update you if a medicine cannot be filled. Need the medicine and this CVS does not have it (even if they “ordered” it a few days ago)? Too bad.

Not a very good pharmacy. Always busy and they never have enough staff. My PBM makes me use CVS which is frustrating because there are so many other good pharmacies that I could use. Always stressful going there.

Biggest FRAUD PHARMACY. they send you notifications that your prescriptions are READY to pick up and they’re NOT READY. I’ve had multiple notifications saying ready. Drove 20mins for it to be on BACKORDER. When you ask when med will be available they say, “I don’t know, nationwide shortage” then my prescriptions expire! I have to call MD for whole new script and call around to see who does have it in stock. They lie to make it appear they’re meeting a quota and say meds are ready when indeed they are NOT. To fool the system and appear to be filling prescriptions in a timely matter. Also took THREE days to fill a RESCUE INHALER. Don’t go if you need an epi pen. You’ll be dead waiting on it here! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Their pharmacy is horrible. If you have another option I suggest you use it because I have never experienced anything like this in my life!I’d rather drive to Philly to fill my medication rather than deal with this location. It’s really unbelievable and they should be shut down!

This is the worst CVS location. My grandmother set up a flu vaccine appointment and it took an hour and 20 minutes to wait (which it shouldn’t have, it was a simple flu vaccine.) There wasn’t many staff working, not to mention 3 out of 5 of the crew members working at the pharmacy were incompetent. Only ONE administering vaccines?! Really? When I got a COVID booster at the UD CVS they had plenty of staff working (they had 3 staff members administering the vaccines) and I only had to wait 9 minutes. I do not recommend the Middletown CVS.

It’s all true. Even though CVS sucks this is the worst of them all. Forget getting your prescription filled here because the wait is forever. Walgreens is nicer and quicker any day.

My Daughter has an ear infection has boogers coming out of her eye, I go in for a prescription and get told that they “don’t have it “ I called the medical center and they said that they have the prescription yet they still won’t fill the prescription. Horrible service do not get prescriptions filled here.

I wanted to drop off unwanted prescription drugs. The box was full. I went 2 days in a row & it still is too full for me to leave my drugs there. When I told the pharmacy they told me they were too busy to empty it. I thought I was a customer too.

The pharmacist on duty today 10/19/2023 must not be a registered pharmacist. Went to pick up an epi pen for my kid and they changed it to Zyrtec syrup . How the hell can someone chocking and need’s an epi pen drink a syrup?Why are you not following what was prescribed and tell me oh you changed it because you don’t think I want to pay a $400 co pay .(it’s not your place to assume ). Besides I have never paid any copay for that .Took you 1 hour after waiting to say oh you don’t have it and need to order it .You guys texted me and said it was ready for pickup.Worst CVS Customer service patient care is non existent here .Management needs to address this

Cvs pharmacy is the absolute worst. I’ve already transferred my prescriptions out but unfortunately my moms insurance company somehow gets to dictate where she can get prescriptions from so she is stuck going here. They never have prescriptions ready, they deny the doctor sends the faxes, the close at lunchtime. There are like 7 other pharmacies in middletown, go to one of them instead.

Recently worked here and so glad I left. I feel a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. The nastiest patients I have ever dealt with. 2 years of wasted time and energy. The pharmacy manager I had there when I was hired, Micheal was extremely rude. Yelled and berated me. I reported it to corporate and was told something would be done. Nothing changed! The store manager is horrible as well. Jonathan literally tells the employees if they don’t want to work there they can leave. And people did. He expressed that the technicians were replaceable. They lost up to 7 technicians since February and they WERE NEVER REPLACED! Leaving the excess on the more experienced techs shoulders! The company provided ZERO HELP! I will never work for CVS again if these are the type of people they put into management. Jonathan was HORRIBLE to the technicians and front store workers. He stays in the pharmacy to argue and micro manage the technicians but doesn’t even know how to pull medications off the shelf to fill scripts. The lead technician was GREAT. The technicians were as well. They make the STORE run. SO WHY TELL THEM TO LEAVE???!!!! Will be sending a email to corporate on Jonathan and I will not stop until something is done.

THEY NEVER PICK UP THE PHONE!!!! I used their automated to refill my prescription and said ready at 230pm here it is 2 days later and still nothing. And I agree the people in Pharmacy neverrrrrrrrrr smile. Rude!!!! why do I have to drive up there to find out the status of my prescription
