Was at the pharmacy one month ago to get a covid booster. Pharmacy staff REFUSED to give me proof I'd gotten the shot. They insisted I'd be able to look in their app. One month and two calls to support later, I STILL can't look at my vaccine records in the app--and I need proof of vaccination for an upcoming event. #EpicFail ACME Pharmacy

The kids that work in their yes their kids little kids with attitudes and no customer service consideration whatsoever they just stand there like they're bored most of the time you have to check your own stuff out because they don't do anything to just stand around and talk to one another or stand around and act like you're bothering them it's like you're annoying them at work oh wait this is your job kid

Staff was helpful & courteous even when they were about to close for the night! I was reassured to shop accordingly and to not worry with the time, which I appreciated them saying this to me so because of that...I was able to get the 10 things from my grocery list, checkout & on my way out the door before it was closing time so thank you Acme staff for your selfless demeanor tonight!!

Store is solid. I like the layout. Prices are fairly high, but location is great when silver lake rd isn’t closed.Their meat is fresh, seafood counter is always staffed, and I’ve never had issues buying expired products. You should still check dates on milk, bread, meat, etc at all grocery stores because they front the older stuff, but that’s typical.Online pickup is awful here; maybe has gotten better since I quit using them, but it was really bad all 3 times I used it.Also, there have been times only self checkout is open. Probably a staffing issue out of their control, but caused a lot of problems when it happened and slowed check out a lot. Still worked out though.

Clean store, however good luck when you need help on the self serve checkout. This store definitely needs more help, watching the young person have to do so many jobs at once made me wonder what is wrong with the corporate worlds today.

It's very large and very clean. Aisles have a lot of space to walk through compared to other Acme stores. Prices are high, as Acme stores usually are, but the sales are really good.

Great selection of food, seasonal items, and produce. Would rate higher if there were more cashiers available at peak times; could benefit from expansion of self checkout lanes of that's the direction it's going.

Acme Markets is a mid-sized grocery store chain with a location in Middletown, Delaware. The store is clean and well-stocked. However, Parking lot was poorly designed and Acme's prices are higher than some of its competitors, so it's important to be mindful of your budget when shopping there.

I used to only shop at Acme but my recent experiences have made me stop altogether. I noticed that in general the store employees were less than helpful, especially at self check out. At one point a rep questioned me on how many bags I brought in for self check out as if I took Acme's 5 cent bags. Smh. I tried to consider these one offs.But recently I needed assistance from customer service. No one was there but a group of about 5 young employees were hanging around self check out. I asked one of them and they said "it's closed". But there was no sign to tell you that. They did assist me with my question which I appreciated. As I continued shopping, I noticed more people standing at customer service and no employee assisting them or letting them know it was closed.When I went to check out, the price of cucumbers was incorrect. I told the csshier and he walked off to check. Didn't ask me where I found them. He took a picture of the wrong display. I said, that's not where they were, there were a bunch in a different area. He said "Oh, someone probably put it in the wrong place." At this point, I didn't want to hold up the line and declined the cucumber and finished my order. But I have stopped going there regularly if I can avoid it. Really poor customer service and the prices aren't great.

Every time I complete a Drive Up & Go order at this location, no one ever comes out to bring my order. I call the number on the sign and there's never an answer. I go inside and they tell me the person left for the day and took the phone. Very disorganized and frustrating. Why offer the service if you're not going to do it right?

I don't dislike the store or their options, but I always find it crazy to see so many people shopping here when we have Food Lion a mile away and their prices are so much lower

I might increase my rating if you start to carry Boars Head. Please. You're so much worse than Giant already but if you carried Boars Head at least I'd come there for that. Please. We can't allow Giant to remain the only store within an hour radius that carries Boars Head.Editing to respond:No thank you. I am interested in being contacted when you upgrade your deli meats and cheeses from quality I wouldn't feed a stray dog to Boar's Head. Thank you again and have a splendid weekend.

Sat and waited for a long time before my pick up order was brought out. They seriously are lacking in that department. You pay for over priced items and poor service. That’s why we shop at aldis 🙂

The employee that works in the seafood department (older white male) is always miserable, and never happy to help. Yesterday the seafood department was supposed to close at 8pm, I arrived at 6:50pm and went to the seafood department to pick up snow crab clusters… the guy there has the lights off and was covering all of the seafood.. and he pretended at ignore me. He finally came over me, and said I was about to leave, I can’t steam anything.. so I said oh, you close at 7pm, I thought you close at 8pm? He said yeah, we’ll I’ve been here since 7am so that’s why I’m trying to leave early.. I said oh, are you short handed? And he said yes, the problem is that no one wants to do this for $10.50hr. At this point, I just turned around and left because I came for steamed crab legs.. what a wasted trip and then at last minute had to figure out what to feed my company. I will not be returning with that kind of attitude.

Update- they contacted me and corrected the issue. Thank you.Very disappointed with ACME in Middletown. I bought avocados from the store that appeared to be fresh. I needed them for a dinner I was hosting. When I cut them open later that afternoon they were bad and molded inside. I sent my son back to the store to get an exchange. When he arrived they told him no managers were available to help. They had left for the day. He called and told me. I told him to ask them to exchange them. They obliged. When he arrived home, all of the avocados were rotten. I was furious. I called and asked for a manager but none was available, they also told me that I would have to wait until the next day for a refund. Really upset about the food quality and customer service that I received. This is the second incident with this store and the freshness of their food. A couple of months ago, I was sold salmon that had gone bad. I did not realize this until I got home and the rotten smell infected my kitchen. I took it back and received a refund. Really upset about this.

The prices are NEVER marked correctly, I always end up paying more because they don't update the price stickers. And there is ALWAYS expired food on the shelves. One time I noticed that the coffee drinks I wanted were expired by over a month. They were still there a week later. I took them to customer service and told them about it and the yogurts that were a week past the date. They said they would take care of it. The next week I found they just put the expired drinks back on the shelf and the yogurts were still there, now 2 weeks past the date. I don't know why I still shop there. It's probably not the fault of the regular employees but the fault of the managers for not making time for them to check dates and prices more often.

Sunday and 2 checkouts open.. backed up as usual. Way to have good customer service, Acme. And please get all of the clutter out of the aisles. They are already tight without all of the extra nonsense in the way!It is clean with a good selection though.

Such a booming town and such a slow Acme. Building up Middletown and not thinking about the traffic coming in on a Sunday. Oh well, I'll find a store with employees that actually work. This GM should resign asap and find someone that will run the store properly.

First time in this store since moving to the area and I have to admit, I carry high standards for my grocery stores. Up to this point, I was pretty concerned at the quality of each place I trialed. Giant was just ok, and places like lidl don't appeal to me. To my pleasant surprise, ACME exceeded expectations. It had a great selection, a really good seafood department, everything seemed fresh, well stocked well lit, the list goes on. I'm very happy to have found this store and it will be my regular weekly shopping place to go.

Worst baggers in town!!! Who puts meat vegetables and cleaner in one bag?!!??? Then cans with cold stuff and bread!!??!! Acme Middletown baggers that's who!! Sad food is so expensive to be ruined by the baggers before you can get home with it!! Manager says they are trained!!! Really by who???? I think the trainers need to be re-trained!!!! SAD

I have been going to Acme for years and I've never had any problems. Everyone has been nice and pleasant until today back in the seafood department. That guy was so disrespectful. It will be a long time before I go back in there, if at all. Don't he know I help pay his salary? What happened to the young tall slim nice guy,? He was nice and pleasant with everyone.

This used to be my go-to all the way from Dover but now they have cut the staff and make you bag your own food. Wait times have doubled… I’ll be going to Redners from now on

If you want the best selection and quality in town, this is the grocery store for you. I know some of the prices are higher but go for the sales! The buy one get one free meat sales are incredible and save you a lot of money. The seafood department is second to none in the area and has the best quality seafood you can buy. Deli has great service and offers just about anything you could possibly want. The front end staff are amazing--Darla, Eva, Karen, Colleen, etc..keep the store running like a machine and are wonderful in terms of customer service skills! Honestly, this type of work is extremely stressful and customers can be very difficult....I commend this store for consistently great service, amazing selection, clean environment and wonderful sales.

Love acme, but prices are too high . Great place to find items I can't in other stores. Very clean. Excellent wide variety of fresh flowers, baked goods ,and salad,delicious areas. Better selection of gluten-free foods. Better selection of world foods. Would like to see Koren items. Also excellent seafood department. PLEASE GET fresh SUSHI :) so I don't have to go to giant. ..

I called Acme in Middletown before I headed there this evening to check on the deli hours. I was told they are open until 9pm which I also saw on the website. I get there right around 8 and there are three employees behind the deli counter one tells me sorry we are short staffed and are closed. Three people behind the deli and not one could cut me lunchmeat instead go on to tell me about being short staffed. I get it everywhere is short staffed these days but one your website says 9pm and two I called before driving there and three there were three people still behind the counter. I’m not sure I will ever go back to this acme. Very poor customer service.

Customer service at the self checkout is typically a couple young kids talking or on their phones. Chris, a worker, was very helpful when I couldn't locate something. The deli workers were busy, and helpful, as always.
