Went in for my weekly salad fixin's shopping. Most everything was great. Only issue I had was the lack of presliced Swiss cheese in the deli section. Had to get some sliced at the counter.

We were experiencing issues with one of the slow scanning self checkout registers with 5 staff talking to each other or running around from register to register to quash all the alerts popping up on the screens. They might as well have been checking the customers out as the self checkout process is actually slower.While waiting in the long line for the self checkout we witnessed the store manager being rude and smart mouth a customer telling them “Well the customer just isn’t always right!”, when the customer was actually right.

Been going here cause it's close and usually don't have a good experience.I typically go to other grocery stores so coming here is a big difference. It is a smaller store and selection is not that good for the items I typically buy. Very small fruit and vegetables section.Was there yesterday and while in check out I opened the app to get ready to scan card but the app had logged out. Kept putting password in and it kept saying wrong password (I use same password for things like this) Clicked on forgot password to change it just for it to tell me I can't use the same password. I backed up on app and entered password again and it worked after trying for 5 mins.

I'm from Pennsylvania, just stopped in to pick up for dinner for my Grandsons. Very nice Weis store more modern than my local one back home. Easy to find what I needed and convenient.

I was so excited when I found these at Weis. I swear, it feels like I went to every grocery store in Sussex County and either the other grocery were out of them or just didn't carry them. It really made my day. Other than that, I felt bad for the employees. They all looked miserable and were not very friendly or helpful at all. I assume it's because they are understaffed, overworked, and underpaid, but that's just a guess.

Some of the employees in the deli dept at this location are in desperate need of diversity/inclusion and customer service training. Specifically two members of the dept Tony and Sandy. I was verbally attacked by the both of them after ordering cold cuts. Apparently, Tony projected her personal feelings onto me, after witnessing a conversation that took place between myself and another customer. She addressed me verbally and proceeded to tell me how she felt in a beligerent tone. After I eloquently put her back into her place, her colleague Sandy belted in, addressed me me verbally and in an equally beligerent tone and manner. It's obvious that there is a mental deficiency and lack of basic academic skills among them both. What's disheartening is that their actions seemed to be racially infused. Would I have been verbally attacked if I were not an African American woman? Their actions should be addressed with great repremand. I will do all that is in my power to expose their treatment toward me and ensure their behavior is met with abrupt disciplinary actions.

Weis is always my go-to store for fresh produce, deli, bakery, ice cream, and a wide variety of name brands. Prices are reasonable and typical.Weis brand ice cream is delicious - better than most name brands! The bakery fresh donuts are also the best.If they could do one thing better? It's seafood. The selection, quality, and pricing is just so-so in my opinion.Overall, great store.

This self checkout craze is not working. The self checkout will never let you get through 3 or 4 scans b4 it gets a hangup, stops and makes you wait for the 1 worker to give you permission to keep going. Doesn't corporate realize how frustrating this is. Fix your self checkout to work properly.Update: It's funny how every review gets a response saying they take these reviews seriously. No1 is fixing the self checkout and still no cashiers. Lots of others complained too. It's bad enough you want us to check out. Make the system work. All you have to do is skip the bagging area scale. Then it would work.

My favorite grocery store in the Lewes/Rehoboth Beach area! There are many grocery stores to choose to shop! I like the service and selection at Weis 🌝

Very disappointed. No cashiers.Grocery shopping is already a very stressful task. Then to add on top that you have no cashiers to check you out. Awful experience. Took me longer to check out then it did to actually grocery shop. Store was dirty. We are from PA and we have always shopped at Weis. But we have never seen a Weis like this.

Yes, it’s a big chain grocer and while it caters to the masses, I find the management and staff to go out of their way to accommodate me. Even when questioning my Weis Points for a promotion, my inquiry was addressed professionally and in a manner that identified my misunderstanding and resolved my issue. So, to Manager Mark and Clerk Bob - Thank you for restoring my confidence in good customer service and portraying corporate policies with care while respecting the customer! Keep up the good work!

It is a nice store and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Stocking is sometimes an issue. Do not know if it is supply chain or if it is staff shortage. Don't know if we'd do a large full shopping at Weis but it is easy in and out and very convenient.

Not a nice store. No full serve check lanes available. When I asked for help, a person finally came to "show me" how to check out. I said I don't want someone to show me, I want someone to check me out. She said "we don't do that here". I left. Friends have told me that the best thing about this store is getting free groceries. The people watching the self check lanes don't pay attention or are helping other, and you get lots of stuff without scanning. I may return for free stuff

I have now made 3 trips to Weis Market.Everything is in stock...even items on sale.Clean aisles...not a lot of maneuvering to get down the aisles.Love their checkout bags! Well-made and larger than the competition.My only gripe is the lack of checkout personnel. I had a full cart and due to disability, I needed someone to scan and pack the bags. I had to scan some and run back to continue placing items on the belt. I must have heard the warning...if your order is complete, select your payment method...10 times.There was an elderly gentleman who couldn't figure out what to do. There was another elderly person with their service dog and she commented that there never seems to be any checkout support. One representative was refilling bags. Honestly, there were plenty.There should always be at least one person to scan larger orders and assist the elderly. This area is exploding with senior citizens! So different than 30 years ago!I like the meat selections. The produce section was full. Using the circular and my Weis account I saved more than 15 percent!Hopefully the problems with sufficient personnel will work itself out after Covid-19.By the way, masks are not required but, suggested. The staff wore masks. Most customers did, too.

I've been going here for many years sadly the foods expired I have to double check, It's near my house so I use them... now the computer systems a nightmare bad enough we self check out and cannot even check out. Nightmare! Goodluck I expect them to get sold out bought out by a better company.

I like this local Lewes market. It does $5 sushi on Wednesday however the stuff I like isn’t included. Easy access and I don’t have to go towards Rene other which in the summer is a pain. Decent fruit section and good prices. The roasted chickens are small but taste good.

If it were possible to rate this store 0 stars, I would have. A rating of 1 star is way too generous. Without a doubt this is the absolute worst grocery store in which I have ever shopped. Customer service is non-existent. The staff is very unhappy and unhelpful. When we went into the store we saw the sign posted that said "You have spoken and we listened! Our $0.10 grocery bags are now free." So we figured everything was going to be fine when we got to the checkout counter. After we finished our shopping (including a useless wait at the deli counter for service that never happened), we arrived to check out of the store with our basket full of groceries. We then were appalled to discover that there was only one clerk manning the checkout counters. Every other lane was self-service, so unless you wanted to wait in line for a half-hour, you had to use the self-service checkouts. Then we discovered that there were NO free checkout bags available. They had "run out of them". However, they would give us one of their chintzy $2 bags for free. Anyone who grocery shops knows that a full basket of groceries is not going to fit into one chintzy little bag. Their solution was that wecould buy more of their bags at $2 apiece. So not only do we have to work for them by checking out our own groceries, they also want us to buy the bags in which to bring them out of the store. By this time I was totally disgusted. I told them that there was no way on God's green earth that I was going to pay for another one of their bags. So I just took another one and we put in it what we could and left the rest of our groceries in the cart to take out to our car. I have never been at a store that didn't have checkout bags for their customers. This store is ridiculous. it looks like it's been abandoned by Senior Management and should be closed down permanently.

Situated in Five Points Village in Lewes DE, the Weis supermarket stocks enough to cater to the needs of both residents and summer tourists alike. While the prices are higher than than the Giant and Acme supermarkets on the Coastal Highway, it's good for last minute groceries.

All the basics at a good prices. Friendly staff. Can be rough or slim pickings during peak tourist/summer time.Disappointed in the international section, wish there was more selection there - however, given the demographics of the area, I understand there may not be as much demand at this time.

Due to knee surgery, we really needed online ordering. Darlene pulled our order two times so far and has done an excellent job and exceeded all expectations! It’s a win-win situation…Weis is fortunate in having an extraordinary employee and we were are fortunate that she pulled our order both times.

They had only 1 check out counter that was not a self check out. The store had the worst seafood department I have ever seen. No one to help with question and staff seemed disconnected an preoccupied and the store was extremely poorly managed and lacked proper help. Oh and if you forgot your shopper card at home they make it extremely difficult to get discounts.

Asked clerk of they had a particular item and was told she thought they were out of stock (translation: either she's psychic or not gonna check, your choice). Will stick to stores closer to home. I know stores are short-handed but this is why ppl shop on-line.Tried again. Still bad.

They don't carry a lot of brands that I like. There was no cream. Check out was a nightmare. One cashier. The computers were very unusable.

So tired of all the self checkout. Constant errors and time consuming. Only 1 checkout person is ridiculous. Ugh. So many staff members standing around that could just check you out.

Lines for self check out penetrating down shopping aisles making it difficult to shop for items and get around those folks, voice message of help is on the way, but slow to show, only 2 manned cashier check outs available with lengthy weights for both, employees that seemed very unhappy as well as customers, and to top it all off, charging $0.10 a bag. I will not be returning to that store. Food lion is a much more pleasant experience!
