10 cars waiting in the prescription drive thru lane. Come on, get serious. Hire some staff. It’s like this every time I come here. Over an hour to fill a prescription. There are no excuses for this nonsense when you’re taking people’s money. Last time I ever deal with Walgreens.

Horrendous service! Force you to come back multiple times for the same prescription, my husband watched them not answer their phones and keep folks holding for over 40 min anytime you call to then get hung up on. Refused to fill my prescription and had me wait on the drive through to then threaten me to call the police because they wanted me to stand in the same half hour line all over again because they haven’t filled my prescription. Then put up a sign at 9am that they were “closed” and wouldn’t assist and I had to call the manager to get involved while waiting at the drive through with the “closed” sign- see pictures. Don’t care at all about customer service at this location!

This pharmacy is poorly staffed. The staff is overworked and anytime I've had an e script it takes hours to get. The drive thru line is extremely long. You could be waiting in line for an hour - no joke. Only to get to the window to be told to "Come back your script is not ready" Walgreens needs to find more staff and recruitment prob needs to happen out of the area. More pharmacies are needed in this area. Definitely look into a local pharmacy that cares, cause corporate Walgreens does NOT! The employees here are very nice, but there definitely aren't enough staff / pharmacists!

I purchased a gift card from this location that was not properly activated by the cashier. I contacted the customer service of the company, who explicitly told me that it was never activated by the cashier. I went to the store to have it resolved, and was given a manager, who was extremely uncooperative and didn’t seem to even understand how their own system works. They refused to fix the gift card even though I had proof of purchase by receipt and photos from the company’s customer service. They made endless excuses as to why they couldn’t fix the problem they caused. Complete waste of $20 and time arguing with a useless manager.

Absolute worst Walgreens in the nation. Don't ever try and get a prescription filled here. There has never been a time picking up prescriptions that something wasn't wrong. Besides making 2, 3 or 4 trips to find a time where there aren't 20 people in line waiting. Then the best is waiting at the drive through for 45 minutes and when you pull up they shove this sign in the window. This store is an epic fall on Walgreens part. They should take a bulldozer to the building and just start from scratch again. Finally got so fed up I just changed where I get prescriptions filled.

Disappointing. Pharmacy counter staff person was rude. I was the only customer at the pharmacy. There were two clerks chatting at the service slots. I went up to the counter. I was told "Do you see that line marker there? You are supposed to wait there until we call you up." Well, alrighty then. Fortunately there are lots of options in Lewes.

This pharmacy is horrific. Multiple times spent in the hold queue, only to hear the phone be picked up by someone (I could hear background noise) then either placed on manual hold until the line disconnects mysteriously, or just promptly hung up on and the call disconnected after wasting 20+ minutes of my time. I'm sure they won't miss my business but I've since transferred to a local pharmacy, much better customer service and can actually reach a human when the automated menu is insufficient. Avoid this dumpster fire of a pharmacy at all costs.

I feel terrible for the pharmacy technicians at the Lewes Walgreens. They are overworked and understaffed. That said, people need their meds! They are so far behind in filling prescriptions. You call to get a status, but they never answer the phone. You drive there and wait forever in line, only to be told your prescription is not ready.

The pharmacy is poorly run. I was on hold for 35 minutes and then was hung up on. I drove to the pharmacy and there was a line at least 20 people long. 4 people working in the pharmacy but only one serving customers. Line took about an hour to pick up a refill. Ridiculous.

If I could I would give this a zero star rating. Walgreens has closed pharmacy hours on Saturday and Sunday for all of the surrounding Walgreens except for this pharmacy. Milton, Rehoboth, and Milford pharmacies all have extremely limited pharmacy hours during the week and no weekend hours. I was told the reason for this was a lack of pharmacists and pharmacy techs. I was told, by the Milton pharmacy staff, that all the pharmacists (in the area) would be rotating through the Walgreens at five points in Lewes, DE. Their service at the Walgreens at Fivepoints in Lewes, DE continues to be horrible. There was only 1 tech and 1 pharmacist this evening at 7 pm. There was a 25-30 minute wait to get to the pharmacy count, the girl in front of me said she had been there 20 minutes already and there was a huge line to the counter (see attached photo). Their drive through was closed as well. Shelves were not stocked. I was looking for a facial cleanser I use and used to buy there often, the shelf was empty, but the sign with the price label still showed they carry it. Walgreens has such a lack of service and empathy from their pharmacist and entire staff. I have spent thousands of dollars over the years at the location (just like everyone else). I do not understand any of this!! Their service and stores were horrible prior to covid and have only gotten worse since then, so I do not want to hear covid or supply chain. A company can have issues with staffing, covid issues, and the supply chain and still be empathetic to their customers and give great service!!! I cannot imagine how horrible it is to work for this company. To have to work in a place where you have to deal with upset customers all day and rightfully so. Do they not understand some people take life sustaining drugs daily and need their pharmacy to be reliable, compassionate, and empathetic.Unfortunately, most of the other large chain pharmacies in the area are not much better some are even worse. I am currently stuck with using this Walgreens because there are really no other options for my prescription needs. Like most people in our community I use several prescriptions and need to tolerate this pharmacy for now. Shame on you Walgreens. I wish you would do better!!

I honestly think this company and pharmacy is trying to kill me. I payed 90 dollars to go to urgent care and I was diagnosed with bronchitis. It’s been two days and I have yet to hear anything I waited over 90 minutes in line. I felt so sick I thought I was going to throw up from anxiety because I already knew as soon as I got to the window they were going to say sorry come back later and we’ll have it ready. The lady tells me I will get a text and it will be filled. They literally are only taking peoples orders that involve antibiotics. I fail to receive mine after 2 days of trying. I honestly think I’m getting sicker and sicker everyday I can’t call out for work anymore this company is going to kill me your best bet is to got to a grocery store pharmacy. This company is out to end people’s lives. Oh and I’m only 29 maybe pick up a prescription every two years.

Excellent customer service! Whenever I need something from the pharmacy, the pharmacy techs are right there to help. Such was my experience today. My physician changed one of my drugs which the website showed as delayed because it was out of stock. Jen went the extra mile to find out for me if the delayed drug was coming in for delivery! She really helped me and was an excellent customer advocate.

Horrible customer service. i spent my lunch hour just driving to pick up a prescription only to be told at 1:25pm that she wouldn't help me in the drive thru because they were about to close in 5 minutes for lunch. Either UNDER staffed or HORRIBLY staffed. Does anyone practice good customer service anymore?

You would think knowing people are sick or truly need most of their medications that they would do a better job of making sure stuff is filled and ready when they say it will be. Lines are absolutely ridiculous. Staff usually has horrible attitude

I only got here when I absolutely need to refill a script, it's better than the CVS near it in my experience. I use the free mail service whenever possible. My heart breaks for those pharmacy techs working there. They look like they're working in sweatshop. My job sucks and I would rather make iPhones than work at Walgreens. Lines are insane and nearly everytime I'm in line for over 30 minutes someone in line is probably going to have a public freakout. I ALWAYS use the bathroom before getting in line. If I worked there my sanity would shatter after the first week. I'd move to a cabin in the woods somewhere in Montana. I wonder if Walgreens offers mental health services for its insanely overworked employees? The median age in Sussex county is 67 point something. I'd hazard a guess that the majority are on at least one prescription. This is a massive corporation. It should have been able to bring in the resources to compensate by now. I've seen people barely able to stand waiting in line for 30 minutes. It's just wrong. I blame the people at top not the employees. Sorry for rant. But please tell me this isn't about profit.

I’ve been waiting for one week for of of my medications… I was told it would be ready last Thursday evening kept on checking the apt I called the next day (friday) that’s when I was told my medication ( Adderall)is on back order the lady was extremely rude rushing me off the phone didn’t tell me what I need to do in order to fill my prescription…so i waited a few days and called Wednesday night by the way I was on hold for 50 mins !! Totally ridiculous so I asked again about the status and the pharmacist puts me on hold for an additional 10 minutes and says” Hold on I’m not sure we have it” so she came back and was told they do have it the pharmacist said I’ll have it ready tomorrow (Thursday )So today I get a notification that the medication that they told me would be ready today is on back order umm what why would you put all my information into the computer and tell me you have it when you don’t

Most of the time, I have a good experience with Walgreens Pharmacy. I try to go at unusual hours to avoid the wait. It is helpful that they keep the drive-thru window open for extended hours to manage how inundated they are. The pharmacy managers and techs are usually polite and professional. I also think there are not enough pharmacies for the growing population here, and it causes issues that are out of their control. However, on Wednesday evening, I had a less-than-desirable experience with a pharmacy tech at the window. I was unsure if she saw me pull up because the sun was setting at a weird angle, then she walked away without acknowledging me. After a few minutes, I rang the bell, which I probably should have waited to do. Then, she came over and answered the phone and told me she would be right with me in a rude tone. After she came over to help me, it was so uncomfortable, and I felt like I was bothering her by being there. I am sure she is super tired and overwhelmed, but the condescending attitude was unappealing.Hopefully, that encounter was an outlier. I will continue to use Walgreens in hopes that they will continue to improve their customer service in the same way they have improved their efficiency in the pharmacy dept.

Reduced Pharmacy hours are a real bummer. Opening at 8 AM makes it hard on anyone with a job that starts at 8. Have really low expectations and you will only leave slightly disappointed. Update- store is worse than ever. 6 hours behind on RX but phone system will tell you your RX will be ready when it isn’t. No management ever around and I don’t blame them as it’s just an awful situation. This place should have a zero rating. They dont answer the phone in the pharmacy sometimes for hours literally until they close the pharmacy. Worst business in the county.

Daughter has RSV and asthma, prescriptions were called in at 11 AM. We weren't able to get to the pharmacy until after 8 PM because we ended up in the ER. When we got here, they told us the prescriptions weren't ready and could take up to 3 days. I had to bring my sick daughter in and wait for them to fill them only for one thing to be missing. The pharmacist himself was nice but the woman who served us was rude and lacked any empathy. No wonder ERs are overcrowded with non-emergencies because medical problems can't be remedied using traditional service delivery pathways. Inexcusable, never returning.

Getting a prescription here for your kids is risky. It has happened multiple times when a prescription was sent in by our doctor and we wait all day for it to get filled and we call and go in at closing and it is still not filled. And the staff makes it a point to act like they don't care cause it's not their problem. No apologies, no sympathy, they can care less that a child is not getting the medication they need to get better.

I left CVS because I thought they were bad..big mistake! Walgreens is worse. Sat on line at drive up for 15 minutes..then realized all cars are leaving...they closed window for lunch. Who ever heard of a department going to lunch at same time...with people on line....ridiculous. If you go to this pharmacy, plan on being on line at least 20 minutes. I usually use mail order..but there are times I am forced to use a brick and mortar store. I hate every moment that I need to go to Walgreens.

Went to Lewes Walgreens store for my Covid booster yesterday. I had a 6:15 p.m. appointment. Nine people were in line ahead of me just to register for their vaccination when I arrived, which is the first step in the process. At 7 p.m. still waiting in line. Meanwhile, those who had registered were now sitting in chairs waiting to be vaccinated. So we’re easily talking 1 1/2 hours before I would be vaccinated. Someone complained and demanded to see the pharmacist. They ignored him until he became more agitated. Then someone came out from the pharmacy, pulled him away from everyone else and spoke to him in hushed tones. He left. Two women in line were discussing how they waited on hold for two hours (!) when they called earlier in the day for info about their prescription, then the telephone line clicked dead. Both of them had the same experience. So I left, made an appointment for the following day at Rite Aid and was serviced immediately when I appeared for my appointment. The pharmacist there was not surprised by my story because she used to work for Walgreens. Short staffed, she said. You know why? Because they treat their employees miserably. In the year she worked there they allowed her to use only one of her accumulated days off.Avoid this store, this company at all costs! They’re morally bankrupt. Educate yourself about their role in the Theranos story.

Worst customer service ever at the pharmacy. The lines are long, and they cater to immunizations rather than your prescriptions. The other day the pharmacist told me to come back after their lunch even though mine was supposed to be ready two days ago (it had not been started). Today only the drive thru was open. They helped a car for 15 minutes with insurance issues (instead of telling him to come back later (like they did to me this week), and then closed for lunch. 20 cars in line and the drive thru is the only thing open. We are all parked here for 30 minutes because of that one car and their lunch break. I will never come here again.

Totally obnoxious. After waiting in line for over 20 minutes, being released from the hospital after over 8 hours, had to stand in extreme pain. Picture this: I’m next in line waiting on one of two clerks to finish their transactions. This woman walks up to an unattended window and stands there. While wondering what she was doing a woman comes to stand next to the line directly next to me. (Skipping at least 10 people behind me). The clerk finishes directly in front so I approach and was rudely told “she’s next”… (pointing to the woman who appeared out of nowhere.) When I questioned this, I was told by Kimberly she was waiting for her prescriptions to be filled. I have used this pharmacy since they opened and have never seen the process for myself or anyone else to skip the line when their prescription is ready. In fact I have directly been told to get to the back of the line and wait my turn. As I was checking out with Steve-o, I saw Kimberly turn to the other woman who skipped and asked what she needed. She said she had express pay (so do I!!!) and Kimberly said oh well I’ll wait on you next. Again skipping the even longer line that had formed. I understand being VERY short staffed. I have always used this location in the past years because it has been 24 hours. Not anymore. The closest 24 hour pharmacy is in Baltimore MD. Within the last few months, their drive thru is never open either. For elderly, disabled and people in extreme pain such as myself, letting people bypass the line is ridiculous. Next time I need to fill a script, I will be going elsewhere and I suggest you do too!

I see others have had a terrible experience too. I go to switched to Acme pharmacy now. Friendlier people less waits. I don't understand Walgreens, seems like a business that should rely on customer service to bring business, but it's non existent. Happy Harry's oh how do we still miss you!

It’s always something with this Walgreens. Sometimes the servers are down and no transactions can be processed. Sometimes the credit card machines are down and it’s cash only. Always there’s an insane hour plus line for prescriptions, and those prescriptions are very rarely ready on time. Usually if you’re picking up multiple prescriptions one will be filled, but not the others, so it’s a multi trip-through-traffic multi hour process. Every. Single. Month. This whole town is insane and nothing works in a normal way here.

Always a problem with prescriptions. This time I phoned ahead for prescription. After driving 40 minutes through traffic only one was ready. Last time was given a 30 count when it was suppose to be 90. The app is always messed up.

Was in outside pick up line. 3rd car back. It’s 7pm ish. Person inside closed the pharmacy window and said we’d have to come inside. Get inside, 5 people ahead of us. Get to register to pick up prescriptions refilled 3 days prior. Got notification they were ready. Well, they were not. AND pharmacist stated that they have no help and might be 10 days until I get my prescriptions. They were 500 prescriptions behind. Been using this store since it opened. Not anymore. I have meds I can’t miss taking.

I've had it with all the Walgreens in the Milton-Lewes area. Since service was so poor at the Milton store, I thought I could do better at the Lewes store so I scheduled COVID and flu vaccines. I scheduled for 5:15PM but waited in line for 20 minutes. Then, they told me to move to another line. After that, it took awhile to figure out if Medicare covered the shot and they insisted I had to pay $46 for the standard flu vaccine. Then, I waited again to get the shot. My 5:15 appointment took an hour total. There seemed to be enough staff but not sure they knew what they were doing.
