This pharmacy really has changed within the last year. I understand being short staffed but being rude is unacceptable! I’ve encountered Dan a few times and every time he has been rude and short with his words. Also, there was a time I pulled up to the drive through window and a young lady pulled the metal screen down and closed the drive through as if I wasn’t there. The sign on the window clearly says closed at 8 while I was there at 5:30ish. I then went inside and while waiting in line the pharmacist was talking with her coworkers about how she set a customer straight because she was over it. Very unprofessional! Customer service is everything and you treat people how you want to be treated. Seems like this pharmacy needs a crew makeover!

Very short staffed. Usually a line of a dozen customers at pharmacy. Had a shot scheduled one day. Person doing shots that day called in sick and no heads up from CVS beforehand to reschedule.

Absolutely terrible experience every single time. The manager was yelling at some guy in line asking him to come to self check out. He very obviosly didn't want to, or would have done so. She then said "he could at least answer me". There were 6 people in the line for the one cashier. This woman kepy waiving all of us to go to self check out. Again, none of us wanted to do so, or would have! Instead of standing there yelling, she could have easily opened another register.Then, I get to the register and have two glass packages to sned through UPS. Each box is marked with at least 6 stickers saying "fragile". Bernice took the box and threw it on the floor. I said "um, that was glass". She completely ignored me and said "have a great day". I then didn't even get the text message showing that it was in fact chacked in. So, I had to call the store and wait on the phone for them to say "there is no way for us to resend it". Well, it wasn't sent the first time. I always get the texts from themVery frustrating

Had a tooth extraction 10/6. Dentist calls in prescription as I'm leaving Seaford. I get to Lewes covered in blood and still bleeding. Pharmacy has no record of request. Get transferred to another counter. Associate identifies the wrong prescription ready but not yet filled, shocker. I ask her to check her phone and voicemail l. She tells me we don't do that for a controlled substance. Called dentist. Office tells me they have called it in 3-4 times. Leaving messages and once speaking to a pharmacist. Both of us try to call cvs. No dial tone. I sit here covered in blood with no pain remedy or poor penicillin to ward off infection. Thanks for nothing. BTW I only use CVS because AETNA forced me to.

Pharmacy hours as posted on CVS website for THIS store say OPEN. Called 7 times and nobody answers the phone. I even try selecting "provider line" and still no answer (30 min after open time).Don't waste your time here. Obviously, customer service is NOT a priority here!! They are getting "too big for their britches"So many other options in the area of Delaware.

I understand that there are challenges to staffing in today’s world, but keeping people on hold for half an hour and then picking up the phone and saying hold please and then putting them back on hold for another half an hour is inexcusable. And this has happened more than once. I can’t even get status to update as to whether or not the prescription that was ordered two days ago has been filled. It just continues to say being processed so the only solution is to drive there and find out what’s going on. Time to move on to a different pharmacy

By far the worse pharmacy ever!!! I had to switch from Walgreens to CVS because of my insurance! Since I’ve been coming here…My prescriptions are NEVER ready!!! I either have to wait 20 to 30 minutes or I have to come back! This place needs better management and a better system!!!

If you are looking for a pharmacy with the worst customer service, look no more! By far the worst pharmacy experience. Most of the time they do not answer the phone and have your prescriptions ready when they feel like it. Unfortunately our prescription plan requires us to use a CVS so we do not have a choice. The other one star reviews are very justified. CVS corporate either doesn’t review the ratings or quite honestly does not care! Day two- Went back this morning to pick up a prescription, waited on a line with no less than ten other customers, the line was not moving once again left without the prescription.

Worst CVS I’ve ever encountered. Staff is rude. They will never call you if they’re having an issue. I’ve waited as much as a week for a prescription that showed in process only to find out they’re out of stock. CVS Caremark filled and delivered it overnight with no help from this local pharmacy. I’m sorry CVS that you’re too busy but that's a corporate issue that I wish CVS Corporate would address.

Pharmacy manager was so rude along with all other pharmacy staff. Asking me why I waited until the last minute to pick up my daughter’s prescription ( they closed at 6 I arrived at 545). When I arrived they had the window closed and they were very rude when I told them I drove a half hour to pick this up. Apparently I’m not the only one who noticed the reviews speak for themselves.

Worst CVS/pharmacy I’ve ever been to in my entire life. The bigger blonde hair pharmacist was so rude to an older lady in front of me for literally no reason. I’d never go here if you don’t have to so you can avoid the most miserable people in the world :)

Worst pharmacy I've been to. No one picks up the phone, long lines both inside and outside, days go by without notice of getting prescription in. Delays delays delays. For what? Won't be going back here for pharmacy needs anymore.

The employees at the pharmacy were terrible. Claimed they were not in charge of calling for my prescription to be transferred even though the pharmacy that wants the prescription is the one who needs to call. I went over to cape pharmacy and they made the call for me and got everything fixed up very quick. If you need a pharmacy down here avoid this one and go to any other pharmacy. Manager was even there and claimed they do not call for a prescription transfer even though that’s how it works. Literally would not be okay if I did not get my meds so I am very grateful for a different pharmacy after this one let me down so much.

I thought the Walgreens across the street is bad (well, actually it is) but this is ridiculous. Good luck getting anyone at this pharmacy to answer the phone - unless you count them picking up after 34 minutes to say, "please hold" for another 37 minutes! I was told they would refill my prescription but they are FIVE days behind. Don't sit in the drive-thru lane - despite no signage stating otherwise - it is only open to those with a handicap placard. Also, do not make the mistake of looking at the pharmacy hours listed online - they have been closing without warning. So, I called the front of store to inquire about pharmacy hours for the day and I was told the pharmacy would be closing at 3 PM (online hours advertise 6 PM). I arrived at 2 PM only to find out they ended up arbitrarily closing for the day at 1:30. I can't blame the burnt out, frustrated staff because they seem to be trying to keep a sinking ship afloat. These experiences make me second guess being a long-time stockholder. I will now be driving an extra 15 mins in the opposite direction to access a RELIABLE and properly run pharmacy from now on.

Needed Tamiflu which is to be started within 36 hours of onset of symptoms. Of course getting an appointment with your PCP is never as timely as needed, so I was already approaching that window by the time my script was called in. My husband went to pick it up but came home saying the pharmacy was closed due to insufficient staff. The script was not ready for another 2 days after that, rendering it completely useless to me. Switching to a different pharmacy now!

We had a prescription called in by the doctor on Tuesday and today (Friday) we went to pick it up.They are a week behind filling out the prescriptions unless you go in and wait for it. That is unacceptable and we will be changing pharmacies!

Although I had an appointment and arrived several minutes before hand, I was treated as an "inconvenience" to the pharmacist. Three people came in after me to pick up prescriptions. He greeted them, engaged in banter and conversation with them and totally ignored me(although he had already taken my insurance cards). After 15 minutes, I politely interrupted his "new customer" assistance to ask if I should go somewhere else. He then asked the other customers their permission to help me.The vaccine he gave me was the first time blood spilled down my arm. Additionally, he did not tell me to wait 15 minutes after my vaccine. Fortunately, I knew to wait.I discourage anyone who wants more professional attention to avoid going to Rite Aid in Lewes DE for vaccines while this person is on staff and (as he claims: under-staffed) .

We had a fairly urgent need for an antibiotic. The prescription was called in to this CVS an hour before I drove 15 minutes to pick it up. I tried calling first; but, as usual they never answer the phone. When I get there, I'm told my prescription may be ready in an hour "...if I expedite it". WE ARE FINDING A NEW PHARMACY.

Awful pharmacy. Rude pharmacy staff, incredibly slow, even before Covid. Now it’s worse than ever. They close their pharmacy at 6 now instead of 8 without posting it online, so people who work a full day have a hard time getting their medicine. They also never answer their phone. I’ve been on hold for over an hour on my way to the store, and walk in to see that nobody in the pharmacy is waiting on the phones. Go to Walgreens across the street

Truthfully I wish I could leave 0 stars for the pharmacy in Lewes, DE. The only reason I come here is because our insurance is accepted here, but after today being the 7th (we have been counting) time to pick up prescriptions for my family only to find that they are not ready and will be “pushed through”, we are done here. Even after calling ahead or coming and being told to wait the allotted amount of time, when looping back around to pick It up, it is like the person who comes to the window, typically different every time, has taken no action on the prescription, and I am told once again, by a different pharmacist that it will be ready in 20 minutes. Customer service is so poor. Separately, I have also had prescriptions that were out of stock that we were told would be back in stock on a specific day that they provided us with. Today is now the 3rd day that I have come to pick these prescriptions up that are supposedly back in stock and they are not there yet again. I have spoken to a pharmacist who told me they were back and ready for me today. Disappointed doesn’t even begin to cover it. Also it is no surprise that they are rated so poorly overall.

Drive thru never open. Seniors with breathing issues either gasp for air going back to the pharmacy or pay $8.00 for a prescription. I hate this store’s customer service but it is my insurance company’s prefered pharmacy.

Very poor service. Everytime I refill here there is always and issue with my prescription! It's either not filled or they don't have it on stock. If you need your medicines on a regular basis don't count on this location. Rehoboth location always doesn't like answering the phones. Do better cvs

My mother has been trying to get her prescription filled since yesterday morning. I stopped by the Lewes location after work and they asked me to check back tomorrow. My Mom called today and Lewes said they didnt have the medicine, so they asked us to call Rehoboth. Rehoboth said they could fill the prescription and would text when it was completed. My Mom received a text so I called Rehoboth CVS to confirm, was on hold for at least 10-15 mins. The person who answered said the prescription was being filled in Lewes, and he said he couldnt transfer me to Lewes CVS. So now Im on hold again, after dialing the Lewes CVS location, someone would pick up the line and then place my call back on hold, I was on hold for 20 min and no one ever answered. Horrible customer service.

Very rude pharmacy personnel who told me my prescription renewal that had been called in from the doctor's office 10 days prior had not been filled yet because they've been "very busy." When I replied that was inexcusable, she replied "well, let me just drop what I'm doing and fill it for you." Very snarky and rude. One of my husband's doctors will no longer use this CVS because of a similar attitude he experienced when he called in a prescription. Very rude and judgemental in his opinion. Told the doctor they didn't carry the drug and would have to order it, as though this would be a major inconvenience FOR A PHARMACY!!!

Geez...there are both good and bad aspects about this place. Let me first say...this CVS pharmacy, not the retail portion of the store, is completely overwhelmed by demand. I have never been at the pharmacy when there isn't both a line of people waiting at the pickup counter and/or the drive-thru. The phone rings constantly.l, mostly ignored...The technicians are scrambling to get orders filled. Given the volume of people, I'm amazed that they do as well as they do. I've experienced some dropped balls, like not being informed that meds were out of stock, but I would say that these folks really try hard to meet the overwhelming demand. The staff are mostly very courteous. I could not do this job for more than a week!

I’ve had to call their corporate office twice in the past 3 months due to the clerk being so rude over the phone with me. The text messages they send are very vague especially if you have several scripts so I had to call to have a better explanation of what script I needed to contact my Dr. about.The clerk who answered my call after waiting almost 1/2 hour was unconcerned and did not explain things, talked over me as I was trying to explain my concerns. I asked for her supervisor whom was unavailable at that time I tried to get the corporate contact from her then she hung up on me. The pharmacist called me back and he did listen to me, The pharmacist was very very nice. I did continue to file my complaint again with corporate office.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. My insurance forces me to use CVS or I wouldn't bother with them because they are SO SLOW. Every time I've had an rx called in it takes over a day. Additionally of you have any questions forget ever being able to speak to an actual person. They literally never answer the phone. I've currently been on hold for 45 minutes. Other times I've observed the pharmacist sitting next to a ringing phone and just not bothering to answer it. So yeah. They couldn't care less at all. Given the pandemic, I try not to go inside an linger but they have left me no choice. Now I have to go inside and be obnoxious because they have left me no other choice.

I came in to pick up my prescriptions that were already done and I needed one more filled. I was told it would be 20 min and it’s a medicine I truly need or I would have left and cane back. I am still sitting here! It has been 45 min. I have witnessed the pharmacist, and 2 other employees be rude to customers. Time for a new pharmacy!

I went there to get a COVID-19 booster and had a great experience. When I arrived, I was attended to almost immediately. The doctor who gave me the shot was very professional and talked me through it (since I occasionally get light-headed). But I was completely fine. They're all very courteous there.
