I have been sick a few days after eating food from here. It was not expired. So it must not have been kept cool properly. Also noticed many of the fruits and veggies looked bruised or willted, especially the organic ones. My organic asparagus was going bad a day after buying it. That should've been my sign not to trust the quality of the other food I bought.

Second time I have come to the store meaning to use Apple Pay I go to the register and it gives some crazy ridiculous error that not even the attendant can explain so it happens for the second time today. If you guys advertise that you take Apple Pay then why don’t you get your registers to actually work properly so it works. This is the first place I have ever had a problem with Apple Pay and I use it all the time.

Don’t use the deli counter here. There’s always 3-5 people behind the counter but only 1 who waits on customers. I was in line for 17 mins this morning. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the young kid who does the drive up orders is WONDERFUL. I hate this store tho and I never come if I’m in a hurry bc it’s the slowest place ever. Go to limestone acme.

Exceptional customer service! The staff is so nice and willing to help. A product was out on the shelf so I asked a worker (Leo) if he could check to see if there were more in the back. So he did and came back and said that there wasn’t any. As I was checking out he came back and found me, he found the items I was needing. He went above and beyond exceptional customer service by researching the item and finding that it was a specialty item and found it in another location! Thanks Leo for saving me another stop!Happy Customer!Perri

The staff is so overall quite ready to help. An item was out on the rack so I asked one of the staff if he could verify whether there were more toward the back. So he did and returned and expressed that there wasn't any. As I was looking at he returned and found me, he found the things I was requiring. He blew away uncommon client support by exploring the thing and observing that it was a specialty thing and tracked down it in another area!

Decent supermarket in hockessin and has a decent meat, seafood, bakery section. Produce is overpriced and not the best just ok. I live up the hill so it’s convenient so that’s mostly why I use it. It’s a decent standby supermarket

This store itself is not the worst perse… it’s clean, well lit, it’s okay. However, many items don’t have price tags, the aisles are somewhat cluttered and narrow, the produce section leaves much to be desired, and the vast majority of the cashiers are just the worst. An older gentleman cashier said their scanners don’t work with cellphones, so I was unable to scan my club card, and he was unable (for some reason) to allow me to type in my phone number. He offered no remedy. I asked to void the transaction then, and redo it so I could input my phone number he wasn’t happy

It takes very little cross-referencing to see that their prices trend higher than area stores consistently, and their produce tends to be "garden variety" and of average quality. The store is quite clean, and I've never had a service issue of any kind, and it is a big positive that they make significant effort to hire employees with disabilities.

Store is crowded with products. Many items past expiration dates. Bought these yesterday. Expired last October. I will be driving two more miles to Giant.

Please fix your app. It's pretty inconvenient when I have to double-check the discounts I selected and they're not on the order. Then the guy has to input them manually, holding-up the next person in-line. Better yet, just give the discounts to everyone and use the app for something else.

The attendant in the self check today stood there looking at me as if I needed to be monitored, so I was struggling and never moved a finger to help or to ask if I needed help. I forgot my receipt and she never called me to retrieve it. I went back for it and expressed that she wasn't helpful. Her response "this is a self-check line".I believe these people have no idea what good customer service is. Horrible! Maybe trying Wegmans will be much better! There is always other options....

This place is good for non-perishable items like any of your box cereals and stuff just make sure you check dates. They have a lot of expired food or soon to be expired food and their meats are soon to be expired a lot of times like if you buy meats from there you have to cook them same day you can't keep them in the fridge for a few days

I love this Acme because it has self checkout and there prices, it also helps to download the app, you clip coupons in the app along with the monthly sale paper is in there so you can start you shopping list. You also get rewards for the amount you spend. My goal at the end of my shopping trip is to have my saving % higher then my spending % and i can usually make happen most of the time.

Can I just say this is my favorite Acme....I literally shop here just to See Matt the manager smile...He has this positive amazing energy and he is the reason I come to this store. This was the sight for one of my students with visual impairment on how to solicit employees for directions and descriptions of the products she wanted to buy. Mr. Cole from the checkout lane was very supportive in helping the student with this task. Ms. Allison was also a prompt and friendly cashier.

I not only buy my groceries here, but also fill my prescriptions. Prices may be a little higher than average, but the store is clean and the employees are very helpful. The pharmacy is top-notch and employees some truly great pharmacists.

It's close to home so I go there sometimes. Some things are a bit expensive and other times there are decent sales. It's clean and they stay fairly organized. I have no real complaints.

I've been a customer since 1993, and although I stopped shopping there for many years because the manager, John Donahue was unprofessional and rude, but in recent years I found the staff to be very helpful and have no complaints other than an ongoing tendency to relocate things... I think that is the one single thing people hate the most be it a grocery store that changes the locations of the things you buy on a whim, or a computer app or website that redesigns itself so that you have to learn to use it all over again. The fail here is that people don't like things being redecorated on a whim, most customers want to get in and out and expect things to be where they were last month, but I give them kudos on a very helpful staff, and I can only assume new management, so I'll offer them 4 stars.

Not a bad place to grab groceries, just not my favorite. I think the Acme in Newark has a better organic section, but this one has a better cheese selection. What made me come on here to leave a review, however, is I bought yogurt there Tuesday and eating it this morning on the following Thursday realized it expired 10 days ago. I should have checked myself, but that shows how neglected some of their product inspection might be.

Went here because it was the closest to our new home. The store is terribly organized. The produce was AWFUL. Green bell peppers with holes in them and mold growing on them. Lettuce that was so rotten it was black and oozing. Just disgusting.

Constantly under renovation and reorganization creating a lack of consistency for a positive grocery shopping experience. Let's get things organized and specialty shops (deli, sandwich, take-out, etc..) properly staffed so shopping can be uneventful, rather than a stressful, experience.
