Birds perch in the store in specific places so customers are able to interact with them freely. The owner was very knowledgeable and professional. He also will warn you with the few birds that may not like being touched as well as directing you to the friendliest and most talkative. Being a rescue facility makes this place deserve and extra star.

We bought Pina, our pineapple green cheek conure about 4 years ago from here. Although, it was a 2 hr drive, we had a great experience. We got to choose which one we wanted to meet, we got to sit with her for as long as we felt needed. They sent her home with some of their food, fruit and pellets. I recently called about a parrolet. The guy was very nice. Took his time to discuss a lot with me about the parrolets and even the pros and cons of our local pet expos. Will definitely return in the future!

We decided to stop in on a rainy day to see what this place was about. We were so glad we made the drive. The birds are free to hang out, they have plenty of space, clean cages, and lots of interaction. You can tell these people love their furry friends. I believe it’s a family owned business and they are very kind and open to any questions you might have. The owner was very helpful and even let us have Buster perch on our arm. They let us roam about and visit all the birds. Great place, will definitely be coming back to visit again. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

Absolute nightmare. When I called the “ groomer” aka owner was extremely rude. She said I could bring my bird in at 4pm. I did, the gentleman who I first spoke with was nice. I had told the man, and the “ groomer” Atleast 6x DO NOT cut my birds flight wings. Just a beak and nail trim. I was given my bird back 30 minutes later. As I was walking out I saw blood on the bottom of my birds carrier, as well as clipped wings scattered in the cage. They cut my birds wings. I went back in and spoke to the owner. I never received a apology for this terror she caused me and my bird. I was physically upset and she seemed to not care. I would never recommend this place to anyone if you care about your animals. My bird is traumatized from the way they aggressively cut his wings. To top it off, my birds beak, and nails where never done. So the exact thing I came in for I never got. Thanks “ owner”I’d like to also add, i was given a “refund” from this place, due to the careless error they made. This was 4 weeks ago and never received it. They are not trust worthy. I’ve now had to file a dispute with my bank. Take your business to a trust worthy establishment.

I've boarded my Quaker Parrot (my lil "green machine chicken hawk" 🤭) with the establishment 3 times in the past couple years. The staff have been absolutely wonderful with her and I've picked up a happy little girl every time! Being an only child at home, they placed her cage next to other quakers so she'd have companionship with others who spoke her language. That spoke volumes with me and I'll continue to board with them when needed. Now, my bird actually gets excited when we pull into the facility and I always super happy when I pick her up. It's good to be able to go away and have peace of mind that my lil one is happily in good hands 😌Thank you Lyn and all the others for your loving dedication and care!

We lost our pet bird and had 2 beautiful cages that we took down there. For bird, rescue the gentleman and there. I believe the new owner was as nice as can be.

Very clean place and birds are well taken care of. Loved looking at the birds and tried to give each one attention so none of them felt left out. The woman made it a point to tell me which birds weren't for sale as I was at the cage multiple times, so that was a tad annoying but also understandable. Most of the birds are well priced In my opinion and they have a good variety of supplies.

Went there yesterday to look at a bird my mom really wanted. My family and I traveled two hours to visit this place. Really fascinating to see the different birds they have here. We wanted to hold the double yellow Amazon they had which my mom really wanted. We did their procedure of cleaning up, sanitizing, and putting on a scrub. Folk there were really nice but when it came to them leaving us with the bird where the couches were it was hell. I left to use the bathroom and came back and after a little bit the bird flew at me. Thought it was being friendly but no the bird started attacking me. Yes they did have a sign where it says the birds have the potential to bite. But this bird was ATTACKING me. There is a difference between a bite and being attacked. No employee was around but this younger girl but she wasn’t any help since the bird doesn’t like her either as she said earlier during the visit. So I was left there trying to yelp for help and NO employee came around besides the poor young girl who didn’t even know what to do. With that the bird kept gnawing at my skin. A customer had came to help me. I was left with these bite marks on my left arm. No other employee came around to see if everything was ok. I will NOT be shopping back here again. Was not worth the drive to be attacked by a bird and with no protocol in place to what to do when something like this happens. Very unprofessional and unorganized. I am hoping the wounds I incurred does not get infected. Otherwise I will pursue further action.

Sure, this place is very large and has a somewhat large range of birds but the owner is what made our visit unpleasant. My son really wanted to see what birds they had there (he enjoys being around parrots and would like to have a cockatoo) he was really hoping they would let him handle the umbrella cockatoo, the woman who was at the front counter (the owner of the store) said he couldn't handle it because "it would bite him". Sure, my son would probably get bit but the look on the woman's face just said "I don't feel like having to watch a kid to make sure he doesn't get bit" and said the only bird we could handle was this Galah cockatoo that was already out. we could tell she was very business oriented. we left shortly after, but right before we did she tried to get some money out of us and showed us the donation box. My Mom came with me and my son when we went and she decided to give a dollar.

We brought home a wonderful hand fed Pineapple Conure this past weekend. Just as the owner promised, this was "THE" bird for our 12 year old son. It wants to spend all its time with him. I highly recommend M and D Bird Farm. This is a picture from our drive home.

Love the shop and the owner is a super sweet lady. Very helpful and very clean store. Birds are well taken care of. Bought a few birds from her over the years. Will be sad to see them shut down. 😔

I reviewed this store previously and don’t know why google is asking me to do it again. Of course the toy I purchased for my macaw was eaten in one day. The price reaffirmed that I need to make my own toys or I’ll go broke. They do have outstanding toys! It’s a shame they’re for birds to destroy. The real are works of art.I recommend checking it out.

Traveler hours to get there and purchased a beautiful Indian ring neck. Bought an over priced cage, toys abs food. Spent close to 1400.00 dollars that day.We had our beautiful Charly for only 6 weeks and she passed extremely suddenly one night.Contacted the store and they seem empathetic about the situation in the beginning. . Stated that they would let us know when the next shipment would be in abs they would help us with a new hatchling.We waited over 2 months only for them to raise the prices of the birds by a lot. I’m not talking a small percentage I saying by about 400.00 dollars more for the bird. We tried talking to them about a possible discount since the price change had not been disclosed in the beginning of the conversations or we would have not waited. I manage a business abs the boyfriend runs his own. We stated in good business it would be nice. Nothing nada. Now understand this was done all through the store staff because we kept leaving the messages for the owner. One staff “volunteer “ actually laughed when my boyfriend stated about the bird dying. The owner evidently refuses to give us a call back. There have been several attempts to each out to the store to help make things right. Still nothing.
