The customer service I have dealt with with the upper management has been absolutely terrible. Between communication, relaying messages & consideration my experience on multiple occasions have been awful. The employees however are great to deal with.

This Home Depot should be very proud of the associates working here in Dover. Every time I come to the store (I am there frequently) ever associate greets me and asks if I need assistance. Very different from other Home Depots I have visited. Keep up the good work; customer service is always appreciated!

Went here twice recently and both times I think I was being followed by loss prevention. Every where I went I would see the same two people that didn't seem like shoppers and I would catch them looking at me. The staff seemed bothered to help me with questions I had and not knowledgeable about things I asked them. The store was messy and not merchandized well.

Stopped in here to pickup an online order. The process was so easy. I walked in and asked for the Order Lockers; the customer service person showed me where they were located. All I did was scan the QR code on my phone and the locker door opened as the locker number displayed on the kiosk screen. The store was also clean and organized. It was towards the end of the day, so the place was not crowded.

I went to Home Depot to get some winter/Christmas decorations. They had well stocked shelfs and neatly placed displays. The staff was polite and very helpful in choosing products to make my project complete.

Attitude MUST be a part of the training here! Even asking where an Item " might be" , to the Checkout!You get the " vibe", " Why are you bothering ME" .. And no..Not my First trip here. HASNT changed in 4 years!..!.. Dread knowing I have to come here! (Rental Guys? Much nicer and Friendly) ...fyi !...

They are the absolute worst. I would never buy anything from here again. We waited 2 hours for a curbside pickup order on 6/10/21. We had two separate orders with DIFFERENT order numbers. Two totally different doors. We were only picking up 1 door at this time. They brought the door out on a pallet wrapped up. We never signed a thing nor were we asked. Once we got home and unwrapped the door, we noticed that it was the wrong door yet our email reflected a pickup for the correct door. I immediately called customer service, spoke with a rep by the name of Tricia and was told to bring the door back. WHAT? Why would I bring a door back when your staff internally dropped the ball? I was given a wrong order. I’ve already been inconvenienced twice over. I asked that they send someone to pickup the incorrect door and deliver my correct door. I was told repeatedly that they could not do this and that they could only cancel it and I would need to reorder and wait the 3-6 weeks for a new shipment. That makes no sense. So you can’t send the same person who is coming to pick up the incorrect door to bring my door that I supposedly already picked up? Perhaps another local dispatch company that your store contracts with since after all this was your mistake? NOPE. I spoke with a customer service supervisor by the name of Faith who TOLD me that I signed something and once you sign off on paperwork that the item is correct it is your own risk. How are you going to tell me that I signed something when I told you I did not? Do you think I wanted the wrong door? I told them cancel it all. I don’t want anything from this company. Maybe they are forging signatures at this store being that they have a hard time fulfilling curbside pickup orders timely and competently from the looks of the past few reviews I’ve read. It took 4-5 more calls with home depot customer service to get this issue straightened out along with my refund. Apparently the supervisor Faith had never put in a case for the door to be picked up as she stated she would. I was told to allow 4-7 business days for contact from dispatch since their crew was backed up. I gave them time and waited until 6/21 to call back customer service. On that day I spoke with a rep by the name of Melissa who confirmed that no case had been created. Fortunately, this rep was very competent enough to rectify the issue for me. The door was picked up on 6/24. I just got off the phone with another rep today by the name of Heaven. A month later and I’m still trying to straighten out the last refund for the door that I had never received. She called the store to get some answers. Now the Home Depot online order confirmation emails say that they will hold your items for 7 days unless you call and work out another arrangement. So if you do not pick your order up in 7 days that would imply that someone in the store with be going through the 7 or 8 day list inventory and processing those back as returns. I would surely think those working in curbside and online orders in the physical store eventually have to review the inventory for put-backs and ask themselves: If something is marked off in the system as picked up, WHY IS IT STILL HERE?! Maybe this is something that requires further investigation. But Why would I expect such logic? Being that I never received the door, it technically should still be there waiting for pickup because as far as their system knows, it was picked up already, so it wouldn’t be going back to the supplier as a return or into the store. Apparently nobody noticed this or caught this error. They were clueless about their mistake. Never again. To Lowe’s I will go.

I’d like to seriously point out that we are very dissatisfied with the experience here. Stood there waiting for help… nobody helped. Asked various times. Waited another 15 minutes. Still no help with the purchase of a Milwaukee kit I needed to purchase. Then while leaving got ridiculed for not getting the tool; by your employees CHRIS STODDARD. I didn’t understand why such poor people service here.. never again will I visit the DOVER Delaware Home Depot store …. Monday , October 30th from 7:20 - 7:45pm nobody can help me get a Milwaukee Tool set , much needed for some projects I have going on. Luckily the next closest Home Depot was open and willing to help. This was a first for me ….

Avoid this location! Not only are they not knowledgeable, they’re not helpful.I purchased for a pressure tank from them. I needed some fitting to get it to work. No one was available in plumbing. Went to customer service. Asked them if they had the fittings and if anyone was working in plumbing. Was told “Good Luck” in a sarcastic tone and there would be someone in plumbing.Went back to plumbing and no one’s there. Tried to talk with an associate that was walking by and he just ignored me and kept walking. Found another associate that said she would have someone from that department meet me.Eventually a guy shows up. When I ask him where the fittings might be, he says he works there but really doesn’t know anything about plumbing. He can only tell me where I might find them. Thank God there was another customer there that heard me and he knew right away what I needed.. and told me “Home Depot there doesn’t carry what I needed “ and suggested alternatives. My son says “dad, you got real customer service from a customer, HD service is a joke.” Yup, a 12 yo saw how poor their service was.Won’t be going back there again… and the alternative I went to, not only did the have everything, and knowledgeable, but their prices were extremely competitive… as in better pricing.

Fast in and fast out. Just wish they had a cashier to talk to. Getting out of the house is a chance to interact with people but now I just interact with machines. Sad.

Home Depot is great for their reasonable prices. I became disappointed by the store a few months back when my husband and I went to pick out appliances for my new home. All was well with the purchase until their delivery people decided they would prefer to deliver on their time and not on our scheduled time. We finally received our appliances after three scheduled deliveries. I now only purchase from them what I can take out myself.

Victor from the lumber department was more than helpful in loading my mass load of concrete into my truck. He and a few others were professional and did everything they could to make sure I’d have a safe trip without anything falling over. Thank you victor!

The salesman was very knowledgeable of the product I was purchasing. He even loaded the doors on the cart. Check out was a breeze. As I waited for my ride to drive up to door a young man introduced himself and proceeded to load the doors on the pick up for us. Wonderful experience. I will shop again at Home Depot.

Needed an item. Online, it said they had it. Not so, no tag on the shelf. Fustrating!Bought a different product. Hope it works. Did find a very nice closet knob. Very good price and was super easy to install.

Went today - Wednesday August 7th at the Dover Home Depot to look for bathroom replacement products - sink, counter, cabinet & faucet. I walked down the paint isle, I got some spackle and saw a finishing sander with a bag. Decided I needed that for when I remodeled my bathroom. Of course like everywhere now you have to ring yourself out and as I did, I asked the girl standing there. . . "is there an alarm inside this box of the sander that is going to go off after I walk out"? She said 'I don't know and I don't care'.Sad that home Depot pays their employees well and tries to take care of them and makes them part of the company. This girls only job was to stand there and watch people ring themselves out and assist if they needed help. And all I got was a smart alec remark . . . . maybe because I wasn't at millenial like her?? She obviously did not want to be there and she obviously thought she was much better than me to deal with my question. Sad that I had to rate this store three stars just because of one employee's attitude as I cashed out. 😣😕

I recently went to Home Depot in Dover, Delaware to buy some supplies for a home improvement project. I was very impressed with the service I received.The store was very crowded and the aisles were narrow. It was difficult to get around.I also found that the prices at Home Depot were higher than at other stores in the area.The item I was looking for was not in stock.

Building a split rail fence. Their lumber is 10x nicer than Lowes. Reason for the 3 star is the employees. Pro Desk sent me to the mill works section who tried to send me back to the Pro Desk. Apparently the Pro Desk is a popular place for the other employees to hangout and chit chat while they aren't performing their regular duties. Ended up buying $3k worth of materials online because the employees in-store were not knowledgeable and didn't trust them to know what I needed.

Clean, brightly-lit store. Well-organized if you can figure out the system. Prices tend to be a bit higher than the competition but many times the product is of slightly higher quality. They offer a slightly better selection than the competition. Again, not necessarily the friendliest staff, always seem occupied with loss-prevention. Feels like your under constant scrutiny.

Asked for assistance with grills inside store. Man at customer service called 3 times Noone came. He was nice enough to assist us in purchasing display model. We also, had a cart full of wood and fencing. Asked for loading assistance as my husband is a Disabled Veteran. Cashier came out 15 minutes later to check on us by then we had everything loaded. Saw several employees walking around or pushing carts. No help.

Customer service is definitely a priority at the dover location. We appreciated every one who helped us out with questions.But thing is, the team made it look easy, they were all naturally friendly, and helpful. Also knowledgeable. One gentleman In particular helped us with lawn mowers, edgers and pole saws. His insight helped us a great deal. I wish I got his name.You can see management allows team to be their self and encourages a happy culture.

So, I did a curbside pickup. Baby. Dog. I was literally across the street. I miscalculated and needed 2 more of these. One, like the new ones I have. The other is an old one that has been sitting around looking like the ones I am replacing from 6 months ago. This was just rude. I am returning my entire order and going to Lowe's. Yes, they have others. I just looked.

My experience in store was not so pleasant. I was looking for a particular item, and they were out on the customer shelf. Now, I saw the item on an upper shelf but could not get to it. I had to ask for help "three" times before I got help. That, to me, was not cool.
