I wanted to share with everyone, including the PetSmart employees of Dover, how “Lily”, now Pi is doing. For those who don’t know, Lily (turned out to be male) was placed in holding for a few months due to a wing injury that occurred during transit. During his time in recovery, he was sought after by many customers due to his extremely outgoing personality. I was placed on a long waiting list, and was the very fortunate pet parent that got to take him home. I work from home, have 40 years bird experience, and found that he would do best as a single parakeet. His cage has a 180 degree view of the backyard with a bird feeder outside his window. I have a 10 hour YouTube River/Wild bird track going daily. But most of all, I want everyone to know how thankful I am to be chosen as his parent and how incredibly loved he is. As you can see, he’s treated like royalty and has more toys than he knows what to do with. And if anyone was wondering what happened to little Lily, he went to a very loving home. Thank you for choosing me Pet Smart!♥️

This Petsmart is very big, with a large inventory of products and pets. This is one of the only pet stores that still has a fish department where you can buy fish. They also have an adoption area with cats. The selection of dog and cat foods was pretty extensive, as well as toys and clothing. They have birds, lizards, rodents, and spiders. The prices were decent and the customer service was good. I came here looking for a specific fish food, which most places don't carry. They had it.

I came here last week to get a filter for my fish tank. Only pet smart carries Top Fin products that are acceptable for my tank. The cashier and other staff members were very knowledgeable and able to answer my questions.

One of the best experiences my husband and I have had! A gentleman by the name of Pop was working there today and he made our shopping experience full of joy and kindness! Very friendly guy! Will definitely be coming back to this Petsmart. I wish every store we walked into had a person like him working!

If I could give zero stars to this establishment, I would. Not only are they unprofessional, but they are disgraceful and liars. They refused to groom my dog and made false accusations against my dog that I had never been told before by PetSmart or any grooming facility. My dog is a joyful pup who has spent his life going to grooming, dog parks, dog daycare, and boarding across the country. In every facility he has been, I have received nothing but compliments about how loving he is. Thus to hear Alyssa make up lies about my dog was absolutely insane. I expressed my concerns to a manager at PetSmart’s customer service via phone and they overrode the block PetSmart of Dover had on my account to schedule my dog. The same worker named Alyssa proceeded to call me to cancel the appointment stating that despite what PetSmart at the higher level said, she will not be grooming my dog. She seemed to be on a power trip, which is beyond unacceptable. I filed a formal complained against her and the store. PetSmart lost my business for good. I recommend you take your dog to a more respectable facility like Petco or local groomers where you will find honest and caring workers. Diamonds Place Dog Grooming is an excellent facility that I’ve used before. There, your dog will definitely be treated with respect. It’s sad to see PetSmart get destroyed by rude and power hungry employees.

I love this location for petsmart. They people who work here are friendly. They do miss treat all the animals here though but that’s expected from petco because they don’t care 🤷‍♀️ hopefully they will stop just leaving dead betas out on display…

Pet smart in Dover Delaware is a joke An hipacrics I go there to get an algae eater for my small tank so i find smallest ones they have which is a brissle nose placo they are about half inch long the guy comes up can i help you .. me i want an algee eater I pointed out ones i want . He asked what size tank it going into. I say a five gallon .. he say he cant put that fish in a 5 gallon . .. so you mean to tell me u can't put that fish in 5 gallon tank but here u are selling fish out of algee infested small tanks an tanks with dead fish floating in them pet smart in Dover has really went down hill over last few years an letting their employees think they are animal God or something so I left an went to Petco to a much cleaner place with algee free tanks an no dead fish floating in tanks an nice helpful people

Great items for my pet Oreo whose a tuxedo cat with short tail. I was visiting and brought a few cans of medical urinary cat food. I bought him some snacks and cat toys he's enjoying the three things. Got more items for him

Love ,love, love, my grooming girl Amanda !!!!! Prices are way to high in store. You can buy some of same brands in grocery store cheaper. Their toys tear up just like the ones at the dollar store. Not Pet Smart alone but if all dogs tear up their toys and beds, you would think they would try to come up with something else to make them.

My dog had been using the grooming services for about 5 months or so when the groomers began to say he was snapping at them. My dog has no history or aggression to humans or other dogs, so I was very surprised. Then I pick my dog up with half a haircut and special handling fee of over 15 additional dollars. I was told my dog was too aggressive for the haircut. A manager would have to finish the haircut. No one ever called me, and the haircut was never finished, and my dog was not even washed. I later learned they were overbooking the services and man handling my dog, which caused him to act out. For the money not worth it at all. Not to mention, the store and grooming area are always filthy. Take your loved pet somewhere where they will be treated with care.

I get my cat food and litter here. They seem to be well stocked. You can find a good amount of your pets needs here. They also have good sales too. I just wish they had more and better coupons to offer, but I come here all the time.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PUP HERE FOR GROOMING !! I took my Coton de Tulear, here for a simple trim, nail trim, and bath only because I had a coupon. I had heard the horror stories about pet store groomers but took my baby anyway to save a few dollars. Boy, did I learn a good lesson. I was told by a little skinny older lady with purple hair, as I approached the grooming area, that Jenn (one of the groomers) needed to speak with me about my dog, her tone was so rude. Jenn told me she could not finish trimming around my pup's head because he was aggressive and nippy. My pup has never had a problem at any groomer before. They didn't even bathe him. I believe they were a bit rough with my 9-month-old pup, and he was acting out due to Jenn being rough or talking unkindly to him. He's a puppy and gets distracted easily especially in that pet store environment with so much going on. My pup looked a hot mess. After speaking at length about what happened with a new groomer, I discovered that these PetSmart/PetCo groomers learn online and are not really trained on how to handle dogs initially. They learn online and then are supervised in the store by supposedly more experienced groomers. They start out learning how to bathe a dog, not grooming. This Jenn or whomever shaved my baby almost down to his skin and left a mess on half of his head. She should have tried a treat or a distraction instead of fussing at my dog. I felt so bad for my baby. I will never take my dog there again, and I'm spreading the word about the customer service at these stores. I just hope my sweet pup is not mentally affected by this trauma and can sit nice for the new groomer I found. Trust me, pay the extra bucks, and get a professional dog groomer. Our cat is a fussy eater so our selection of food is limited. PetSmart's inventory changes but we are always able to find enough of a selection to keep her happy.

Mia,went for the 1st time for her grooming and I explained to the tech what I wanted her to look like by taking a picture of another Shih Tzu’s hair cut that I googled, which I really like…and the tech was able to cut her hair just like the picture. I really love it and I also love the team work @ that location. I will definitely take her back to them and I recommend everyone to take their pet to this location! This groomer in this picture is a awesome 👏

Our very opinionated Husky went for his first grooming experience at this location. I explained to the ladies how difficult he can be during brushing, but apparently he did well. Amanda did a really fantastic job! She even showed me a picture of how much fur she blew out before his bath! He looks and smells amazing! We will be back!

Visited last week with my lab pit Lucy. Had made appointment with Jade, who called in sick that day. Lucy would not cooperate with other techs for the nail trim or much else. A week later contacted store spoke to Jade who performed the nail trim at no cost this morning. Great customer service, outstanding employee thank you Jade.

The groomers are always great and listen, plus they are compassionate because of my husband’s cancer. I needed Gizmo’s nails shorter than usual because of him starting both therapies. I was happy to see sales going on also, which now are a big help with bills coming in. I love to make Giz happy and he enjoyed this toy for $1.47! Plus the scarf was cute, and included. 💜

Been coming here for years and it's always a favorite stop of our families. We like to just look at the pets sometimes, but we've gotten one of our cats here through I believe "faithful friends" (I'll be honest, the cats in the glass case from ASPCA are very hard to adopt, lots of hoops to jump through, more than most agency's.) and we also buy lots of our pet needs here. It's definitely nice when they have a sale too. The staff is great, I should know because I used to be one! I know that they give ALL staff members training on animals so that we can answer questions and be more than just a fish scooper or a cashier. I was a pet care associate and this place was my favorite job ever. I absolutely loved taking care of the animals and learning everything they taught me. It started me off on my adult life of being a true pet parent and for that, I thank them. ❤️

We go here all the time and while the service is good and the employees helpful there's always a line and rarely do they ever have more than one register opened at a time. For the money I spend in this store you would think it would be better staffed.

It's okay, it's where I mainly get my dog's food but they gave me an infected guinea pig and considered it as normal and fine until I brought it again, also noticed how every day guinea pigs, hamsters and birds come and go, new ones almost every day, makes me wonder what they're doing with them

I just picked up my dog on my lunch break from getting groomed and the furminator service. When i get home to drop him off i notice his cut. I am disgusted by the hack job they did on my dog. They did not shave under his paws which i specifically asked they do, his legs are patchy now and he looks ridiculous. His cut looks like a ten dollar haircut you get at a flea market. I will NEVER return here for grooming again which is sad because this is the place I adopted him from.
