Love the customer service. Especially the young lady in the Deli Department. She was very kind and helpful and funny. Reminded me of myself when I was a Manager of my Department and how I would treat every customer... with respect and like they were a friend or family. Plus I love how it never ever seems that busy while I'm there... like there is alot of people shopping but at the registers you never have to wait more than a minute or two to be on your way out.

They are very helpful and will do what they can to make you shopping experience friendly and fast checkout. I like how they stand out from their register when they have no one asking if you are ready for checkout. Just a pleasant place to shop!

I recently visited the Food Lion store in Dover and I was very impressed. The store is clean and well-organized. The produce department is especially impressive. The fruits and vegetables are fresh and of high quality.The customer service at Food Lion is also excellent. The employees are friendly and helpful. They are always willing to go the extra mile to help customers find what they are looking for.

Most items on my list were available, but 3 of the sale items from the flyer were not available. Second week in a row. Store should have sufficient stock of sale items for at least the first four days, and this was day two. Stars go to employees for assistance and courtesy

I don’t usually complain but cashier had no interest in doing his job, overcharged me for asparagus n when I questioned it he told me take it up with customer service at which time I waited 15 minutes after my checkout for someone to get to customer service only to be told the barcode says by the pound so he had no clue how to fix it. Food Lion needs to educate their robots ie cashiers and service people known as team members

Decent selection of fruits and vegetables. Deli cooked ham isn't wet, leaving a small pool of ham juice at the bottom like others. Some shelves were empty on a Monday. Discount Food Lion card does cut their higher prices. Overall great experience with the store and staff. Cash back available with purchase.

Contacted the Food Lion bakery after another local superstore canceled my custom cake order the day before the party. Karen was very helpful and verified that my order would be available for the party, even though they had several orders in the works. She even double checked my request and verified my pick-up time. Karen was very courteous and helpful. It's because of her, the Food Lion bakery will be my first choice from now on!

Food lion has every basic grocery item. Prices and quality are similar to what you'd expect to find at big box stores. If you're looking for premium or gourmet quality items, might want to try somewhere else.

My neighborhood grocery store. I go to this store maybe 4 times a week! Most of the cashiers are fast and efficient. The manager jumps in and helps and also greets the customers.Billy from the meat department is always smiling and helpful. He's a great asset to the store because he will actually check the back to make sure you can get what you came for!! Thanks for all you do Billy!

I always use this food lion but today was there and I don’t understand why it takes two people to make a salad while you have customers and you turn and say rudely I will be with you in a few minutes after I stood there already for five minutes!!

I enjoy shopping at Food lion. The store is clean and well stocked and fruits/vegetables always fresh. My complaint is the potato section. Your potatoes bags and packages have too many green ones. When you have 4 green potatoes in a package of 4 or between 5-7 in a 5 pound bag that is too many, I have to throw out. Green potatoes are not safe to eat and can make you sick..

I came back to change the review because having given them 2 stars because the store was very dirty we went back June 15 and what we saw was just amazing and incredible transformation which can only come because staff had obviously worked so hard . On this day this was one of the cleanest and best stores in Dover. A very big thank you to staff and management at this location . You won us over and this is now our go to store for our weekly shopping . Brilliant everyone and a big thank you . Staff make you feel welcome with smiles during these trying times .

The remodel is great, definitely a good refresh. Most of the aisles stayed the same with product location. Looks like some new products on the shelf. Staffing seems adequate for amount of customers and doesn’t appear to have a lack of product.

I stopped by this location a couple days ago to grab a few items. The store was clean and well stocked. When I was ready to check out, I was so surprised at the level of customer service. I was greeted promptly and the cashier, I believe her name was Ms Jessica unloaded my shopping cart for me. Another associate, Ms Sue placed my bagged groceries back into my cart and asked if I needed assistance out to my vehicle. I couldn't believe it! Food Lion has really stepped up their customer service. I was also greeted as I came into the store and as I was leaving. Also, while I was shopping, an associate stopped to ask me if I needed help locating an item. I work in customer service myself and I understand all too well of how great customer service is almost nonexistent. Well done Food Lion. I will be a returning customer.

Clean store, friendly staff. Absolutely love Robin on the registers! Only thing keeping me from giving this 5 stars? Maybe advise your deli staff that there's nothing wrong with being anti-meat but spending the entirety of their time slicing your order and loudly telling their coworkers that nobody ever should eat meat, and complaining about truck deliveries happening on their shift is less than professional.

I was an interruption for the cashier's conversation. I felt like I was an inconvenience to my cashier. She doesn't know how to bag very well. Cans on top of fresh fruit and bread. I wanted my 2liter bottle bagged so she bagged every gallon and half gallon as well as a 5lb bag of potatoes. When I asked her to not bag the gallon containers she replied" you said bag all the drinks" I just looked at her and went on to bag the rest of my groceries. Not a thank you or have a good day. I am getting tired of always being the nice one.
