Saturday afternoon just before closing a southern states employee grosley overfilled my 100 gallon propane tank. I did not notice the heavy flow of gas leaking until I was miles away. With closing time upon him the attendant allowed us to depart after propane fill-up when it was visually obvious propane gas was freely flowing from the valve at an alarming rate. When stopping at a light we were overcome by the toxic odor being terrified with people warning us of the leak. It seemed the valve was damaged. We were stuck with a leaking propane tank and nowhere to safely transport it. I immediately called southern states from a crowded parking lot but they had closed. I reached a southern states emergency delivery driver who could hear the spewing propane. He stated the overflow valve should not be leaking at that rate and I should have never been permitted to leave the filling area in a leaking condition. The driver was on call for emergency be he refused to offer assistance and come to the scene. I left several messages with the answering service for a call back. NO ONE EVER CALLED , NO CONCERN, NO CONSIDERATIONS for causing alarm and a potential disaster. Be warned of this business that ignores safety protocol, a business with no consideration for the safety of it's employees or it's customers.No one from the Southern States company has responded even after this post !

Great store, employees are extremely knowledgeable on grass (lawn type grass, not the giggle-grass) and they always have the best prices on propane with swift delivery.

One Stop Shopping, gotta love it!My husband took our truck to get weighed to pick up sand, while I washed our Border Collie at the Wash-n-Go. Got dog food and a free pallett for my herb garden. Staff is amazing.

Great store! Above par service, I needed about 100 lawn staples, they sell them by the box 1000 per, but they sold them to me individually. All the employees are very kind and make you feel welcome. Thanks guys!

Let just say I have never had such fun picking out bibs!! I had the best customer service, and so much fun! I will definitely go out of my way to go back because of the service I received!! I wish I got the gentlemen's name that was helping me. He knows who he was! Thanks again!

The staff is frickin AWESOME. Very personable and knowledgeable. They take great care of you and make sure your able to find everything ok. If you are looking into getting something big and/or heavy, they are more than happy to help you carry it or even just carry it for you.

I stopped in there for lyme for my lawn. Great guys, very informative. Nice country store. They have all your garden, lawn and pet needs. 👍

Great place to get your barbecue tank refilled at $12.00. Any day of the week or Saturday morning. Helpful workers . All kinds of farm & home gardening . Lumber, Animal supplys etc.. Buy it by the bag or trailer load for your yard. Wheelchair accessible to the show room. Nice farming atmosphere.
