Unlike the Food Lion in North Wilmington this place seems to be overstaffed by younger people that will often stand around rather than bag groceries. Not the biggest issue but a tad annoying in comparison to the other location. No issues with anything else, lines move faster but not as convenient for me to go to. If this location could somehow merge with the N Wilmington one it may be the best cheap grocery. However that is not the case

Awesome prices early in morning on steaks and cuts of beef. I always try to get a ribeye before 9am because they’re perfect to cook and marked down almost 50% at times. Good quality meat too

It's a smaller market, so it's a bit pricier for meats than a larger store, I, unfortunately, ran into the nastiest woman employee I've ever encountered in any store, she was rude, mouthy, opinionated, made fun of a disability, the manager did nothing to fix the situation, upon leaving the store, she again shouted out from behind her register, unbelievable! The other employees are actually wonderful , store was clean, parking was easy, handicapped accessible entrance

This food lion is great EXCEPT If you are buying meat. Please take caution and be careful. Any square carton with cellophane lid (ground beef) or even some styrofoam carton with plastic wrap is rancid. It’s consistently been this way for at least a year.Essentially you can tell it’s bad when the plastic is expanded away from the meat as if it’s filled with air. This happens when the meat is left unrefrigerated for a long time

Let me tell you, Food Lion is the most reasonable market out there right now, especially in today's economy. I'm all about sales and coupons. I have online apps for a lot of different places and I dedicatedly clip coupons every Sunday when the new coupons and sales are released for that upcoming week. Out of all the places, I have to say Food Lion is one of the cheapest by far plus they have a rewards program on top of the sales and coupons where you can earn so much in each department every time you shop, which is a perk. It's only the 4th and I've already received $15 in additional rewards, which is deducted from my total due the next time I go shopping.

They always have what we need stocked. It's a clean store and the prices are great compared to some of their competition ( acme ) this is the only place we shop when we are in town!

Most employees are not friendly or professional at all. A cashier at register 1 did not even speak to me even when I said hello and thank you. I have encountered one friendly employee in the 3 times I have been there. It honestly makes me not even want to come here but it's the closest grocery store to me right now. I ask where an item is and it seems like it's a chore to figure it out and tell me. Not impressed at all. I will drive a further distance to a different store. 2 stars for the nice employee who helped me find Gluten free products. I wish I knew his name. He was very helpful. Edit 12/14, I had to stop for an Emergency item, I will not shop here because of my previous review. It was the same as it always is, no one seems to want to work, help you find anything, the cashier did not speak to me again, I said.. "Hello" and nothing back. I asked to put my phone number in because I don't have a card, she pointed to the payment machine. Did not thank me, said nothing. I have manners and even though she did not speak to me once, I said, Thank You and have a nice night. If you don't want to speak to the public or help them, put a smile on your face, why do you work in customer service? Management really needs to pay attention to the workers they have there and give them more training on dealing with customers. This was a 2 star review. Now it's a 1 star.

Love this place. Plenty of machines and weight. Front desk is helpful. You can check how crowded it is before you go. And don't forget the massage chairs!

I highly recommend using Vikkii in Food Lion's bakery for your next event or celebration. She is truly the best at all she does! She goes above and beyond to accommodate requests even if the design of the cupcakes or cakes are not in the offered catalog. She does a beautiful job with cake and cupcake decorations. Her customer service, responsiveness, and dedication to make customers happy is admirable.

Relatively small food/grocery store. Usually has what I need. Has regular sales on various items. Well lit inside. Long lines at the usual busy times, but not always a long wait. Parking lot usually has spaces available near the entry. I have not had a problem during the decade I have gone shopping there, but on occasion there has been some kind of incident reported in the parking area. Prices are typically lower than the big chain stores.

This is like the 3rd time I buy pork chops and they were smelling pretty badIt's disgustingIf it's marking down the chops throw them out cause it's sad I come home to cook and it's smelling awful

Be mindful I went to buy a dessert yesterday and noticed there were two price tags on my item. Upon peeling off the first tag the one underneath exposed that this dessert had EXPIRED two days prior. Not a sell by date but an expired date. Nancy the assistant deli manager said "oh we do that all the time." Mel was so rude and didn't even acknowledge me. Mel was disrespectful and nasty! Christian and Tony were a huge help and truly saved this store who seem to have two managers Nancy and Mel who lack in customer service!!! Be mindful if you buy from here as Nancy admitted to covering expired dates up with another sticker.

Produce selection is basic but adequate. Wide aisle, well lit and clean. Well maintained store. Registers are always staffed and they bag in paper with no bag charge. Plenty of friendly staff. Grocery items typically have lots of choices but some fresh items like eggs are limited to two or three types. Parking lot could use some improvement.

My go-to local grocery store. Only issue I've ever come across with food lion in general is with the phone app not applying coupons I snipped.Otherwise this place is good, just packed on weekend days with long lines and not enough cashiers for large orders

EXTREMELY bad service! My mother went there yesterday and she is a Muslim and had a veil/ covering her face. The worker was a women and was VERY rude. So unacceptable!! My mother went for pomegranates and the worker was yelling at her because she asked where they were! She then told my mother to come later. My mother came later and wanted to buy more than 10 pomegranates. When my mom went to the cash register the lady pushed her colleague and only counted 10 pomegranates. My mom was extremely confused and the lady said the store policy was only 10 pomegranates in a very harsh manner. My mother left and her friend went in the store. My mother’s friend did not have anything over her face. She just had a head scarf on. When my mothers friend went in and she bought more than 10 pomegranates. No one said a word to her. That women needs to get fired immediately. Learn how to respect and be kind to your customers!!! And stop being racist! she also made fun of my mothers English accent! How dare she! She continuously yelled at my mother. LEARN SOME RESPECT

I appreciate the pricing more than anything!! I have put things back at a different popular store and drove straight to Food Lion for that reason. They are very fair! The freshness is wonderful.
