I have been going to Pet Kare for over a year for my pets' needs. Until today I was very satisfied with their services and supplies. Today I took my 14 year old bird to get his wings and nails clipped. I was excited to find a place that provided these services and it was recommended by an employee who has their own bird. I will never again take my bird to Pet Kare. The people who handled my bird were not sure how to hold him correctly which allowed him to fly around an office with many windows and a running fan. I then took it on my own initiative to hold my bird because I did not trust him in another' hand at this point. Never once was I apologized to as I watched my bird suffer. I understand this is not an easy task to do but never have I experienced such poor service to my loved animal. I even mentioned how unhappy I was with their service to be responded to by "you paid for it". NEVER AGAIN WILL MY BIRD BE PUT IN THE HANDS OF PET KARE! Thankfully my bird is home and doing okay. I bought my own supplies because I rather do this service on my own than risk his life again.

Super awesome staff. I've gone to their store for most of my pet care needs. I have purchased two dogs there and the staff is amazing. Anytime I had a problem or a question they seem to be on top of it. They are a good location and don't have that huge super store feel. Yet they always seem to have what I need. The staff is always super knowledgeable and pleasant. The workers were really friendly and answered all of my daughters "kid" questions as well.

Pet Kare on Rt 40 in Bear is Awesome !!! I just bought my puppy yesterday and all thanks to Kevin for his help. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff all around and helped me every step of the way getting everything i needed to take care of my new best friend . Thanks again Guys!!

I had had decent experiences with this Pet Kare in the past when I bought my first two pet rats. They were informative, pleasant, and very hands-on; letting us hold the rats and get personal with them to see which would be a good fit. The last time I was there (this previous Christmas holiday) they didn't let me look at the rats and just gave me one that was a girl - which was fine at the time - until we got home and discovered that she was disabled with both front paws broken and her nose broken as well. She died the next day. I finally decide to go back to look for a new rat this Tuesday (7/19) and the girl once again tells me that despite this previous blunder O still cannot look closely at or touch the rats until purchase. Well, I will buy elsewhere from now on. Please don't risk buying sick pets from this shop.

The best place to go for pet supplies. The tend to have the same products as other stores but cheaper
