First time coming to this pet store and I was immediately greeted by all the staff and they were all super kind. very informative and very helpful. Although while walking around the store I started noticing the cleanliness of the store. For starters going to the rabbit tank I notices LOTS of little black bugs which to me resemble flees all throughout the tank. Not only that there was a absolute massive amount of mouse poop on the floor through out the entire store not just where they are kept. It’s clear that the pumps and tanks haven’t been cleaned in a while. It is unfortunate this store has so much potential with they’re great staff and amazing inventory.

This fish/pet store is amazing! Small but they have almost everything you need for pets! Fish 🐟 🐠 are in their own eco system. Especially the salt water tanks. The family owned business is very knowledgeable about everything you need to know about fish and pets. It might be call "Just fish" they definitely have more than just fish. I would highly recommend this fish/pet store. Located in Fox run shopping center.

He did not say the tetras were aggressive. The 2 glow fish sold to me were the aggressive fish. We removed the 2 glow fish from the tank, and guess what? The remaining tetras came out from hiding, and the other fish also began swimming freely. I don't understand how a water check is going to do or fix anything for aggressive fish. I don't call telling your customers to donate back the fish you sold, and we can buy new fish "working for the community." We took care of the issue, unlike how you took care of your customers.

I haven't been to Just Fish in a while, I was really surprised to see how dirty the store and many of the enclosures were. While visiting the employees were standing around talking. They were friendly and helpful but the state of the store really makes it hard to buy something from them. I have a rule, if you can't talk and work, shut the He!! up.

Do better guys, I know you have been around a while but I just can’t buy from here anymore. Tanks are yellow and dirty, I would not take advise from anyone selling fish in these conditions, not expose my healthy fish to these fish as well.

Shut this place down!!Their fish is an issue in and of itself, but i want to talk about the abusive environment the ferrets are kept in. One cage has a wire bottom, and can cause serious health issues for the ferrets, half of the cage is plastic but they still should not have access to the wire bottom, most owners use fleece cage liners. These cages have no access to water dishes, the bottles can hurt their teeth. The brand of pet food they are feeding is not a suitable diet. The second cage gives the ferrets less than one square foot of room, they sleep and eat right next to where they defecate. Ferrets are supposed to be out of the cage 6 hours a day, these guys are never out, and unlike pet co, where the ferrets move in and out quickly, they stay in these cages for over 6 months at a time, who knows when they are let out. They stay in the store overnight of course. Please call the local health department and file a report if you want to help do something about this place. The rest of the animals conditions are a whole other story.Edit: some things were changed and the owner has replied, but not commented on the size of the second cage, or the lack of enrichment/bedding, and says that half the cage is not wire, still not good for their feets. They have also not spoken on the fact that these ferrets stay in the cages, and are not moved out as fast as chain pet store ferrets, so they stay in those cages for extended periods of time. Also you cant comment on the owners reply to the reviews you leave.

I don’t know about anyone else but I first started going to just fish when I set up my first saltwater tank in 1997. Due to just Life happening I stepped out of the hobby and after 15 years or so now in October of 2023 I’m back in and it was my first stop.i asked questions just to confirm a few things and all my questions were answered and I was set. I’ve always felt comfortable after their advice then I continue with my set up’s. Look it’s no flashy place but one thing I’ll always appreciate is the fact that it’s a true mom & pop shop and the knowledge I’ve gotten from this store has been amazing and something you won’t get at a big box store no matter how flashy and shiny those may look there’s no mom & pop advice there. Last I’ll add that due to the fact that it is a true mom & pop shop this means that just like any other place in todays time not only can you not trust many people but this younger generation doesn’t want to work and I’m sure a lot of you can relate to the same thing instead of trashing this place try and maybe offer some constructive advice and I’m sure they would actually appreciate it just saying …

I bought a white ferret for Christmas as a gift for my son . he wanted another but white he has two, had for more than 5 years .I bought along time ago somewhere else. I paid 400 for a ferret from this place . Had it for three days my son went to feed it and give water , the ferret had past away. Wouldn't refund me atleast a new ferret. This place keeps the animals in bad condition . Cage are dirty. Animals are untaken care of.

They had their rabbits crammed in a very small aquarium. Likely 8 or 9 rabbits in an enclosure suitable for 1 or 2. The ferrets were at least four in a hammock. I did not even go in because I was so horrified. Do better.

Where should I start?!!!! Well, If you're looking for a Dog or a Cat... They do not sell them Here. This place sells mostly fish, (as the name says... "Just Fish"), but there is a few rabbits, rodents and reptiles to the right of the store if you are interested in that type of stuff. The elderly women who assisted me was nice and helpful. The one thing I don't like about this store is the Very foul ODOR. I know it's a pet shop.... but it's more of a Heavy Mildew smell that was making me Nauseous. So my purchase of Gravel for my Fish tank was Swift. If they get rid of that Odor... this could be a very Welcoming place.

Very helpful staff and it's great to shop at a small business. Yes it's sort of dark and yes it smells but it is reasonably clean. They have the best selection of fish I've seen in a while, and with all those tanks its impossible to keep it sparkling like the national aquarium. They have other pets too. Good location. My electric blue ram cichlids are doing good so far.

This place is foul. They take very poor care of their animals and I’ve witnessed it more than a few times. They keep their rats in a bin similar to what you would put Christmas decorations in, with very little air quality and the fish tanks smell horrid. Unfortunately, they have more than just fish and I don’t know how. I do not recommend this place, based off of experience.

This is the first place I purchased fish from when I started in this hobby, and I won’t be coming back. Leaving fried kuhli loaches next to their tank is disgusting.

My husband and I decided to purchase a betta since we love fish. Well, within 72 hours, the poor fish was dead. I called and spoke to a woman who made it seem like it was something that I did. I have other betta fish, used the same type of water everything I do for my other fish did for this poor little fish which obviously was left to die. This is definitely a type of business I do not want to associate myself with. The money is not the issue in this it makes me wonder how many other fish or animals do they not take care of and sell to people for a profit and then get sick and die? I'll take my chances with a different company.

This place has always been pretty marginal. I went in today for the first time in over 10 years and little has changed from 20 or 30 years ago.There is much potential as there are so many cool fish and some really BIG show tanks. However, most of their fish are kept in small and dingy tanks. Also, the prices are as high as you would expect from an immaculate and modern fish store but the place is run down, dirty, and poorly maintained. The place needs a good cleaning (perhaps a controlled burn) and to be modernized as it is borderline disgusting inside. The owner(s) really should take more pride in the place.The employees vary from somewhat friendly to outright miserable. There is was an older lady that always sits in the back and to this day doesn’t appear to do anything. Other workers were just loitering when there is much work to be done (like cleaning up the place and maintaining the fish tanks better). If a Chef Ramsay of pet stores existed, he might be the only hope for this place.I will say that I did not notice any disease and this place used to be riddled with ich and fungus so that is a step in the right direction.

I wanted to give this place a try despite the reviews but really folks were right. It is very filthy and the aquariums are absolutely dirty which tells me they don't bother to change the water. On top of that it stinks horribly and they have a lot of products that have faded labeling which tells me they don't sell much of dry goods. I bought one thing of food and that's it. It's honestly a shame since I'm not near any local fish store. Won't visit again until there are major changes especially the animal care.

Stopped in this store while passing through the area and was not impressed. Dingy and dank with a lot of clutter, and the smell comments are spot on! Fish isles are very tight. I only stopped to look at marine fish and their selection was moderate, but pricing was outrageous. 2-300% over just about every other store I’ve been in. Livestock appeared pretty healthy, and tanks moderately clean. Coral frags looked poor, with only very basic things. I appreciate small businesses staying open, but come on guys. Spruce things up, and bring your pricing back to earth.

Great family run fish and pet store. Has all kinds of fish, salt water and fresh water. Has snakes, turtles, eels, rabbits, guinea pigs, and a whole lot more. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable (owned store over 30 years) and will answer any questions about plants, set up's, new aquariums available. Been shopping there for years! What more can I say?

Honestly amazing help they may not have had what we needed in that moment which was a very large snake hide but they were so willing to offer more solutions to my problem. The animals were well taken care of and kept entertained very knowledgeable about these animals.

I wish I could give 0 star for this review. Just Fish is a horrible store. My daughter went there to get a filter for her fish and it makes really loud noise. They recommended this filter to her and told her it's the best and if anything wrong, she can just bring it back to the store. So she brought it back to the store and they told her to contact the manufacturer and refused to refund her. And people are really rude there. I just called the store and the lady on the phone was super rude and started to yell after a little while. This is ridiculous!!! It's not the right way to treat your customers!

This place is honestly disgusting. I came here to get a few shrimps but left only a few minutes after entering the store.First of all, there is a horrible odor that emanates around the entire store. Most of the fish tanks are overgrown and contain outbreaks of algae. I even saw some pond snails in some aquariums. Their selection of equipment is very limited and overpriced. I would not recommend this store. You are better off traveling to Pet Kare, William's Greenbank Aquarium or Frags 2 Fishes.

Agree with some reviewers about the smell and the store being kind of crowded. Wide selection of fish and the one old lady who helped us was nice and seemed to know a lot. There definitely weren’t as many dead fish as people complained about, but I definitely saw a couple. My mother got a bunch of goldys there, some died but she got them replaced and they ended up doing just fine

I will be taking my business else where. Me my wife and my daughter came in to get supplies for our turtle tank. There was a lady working. It was a Tuesday night. She refused to look at us and huffed when we walked in. She literally kept talking to the person who was in store so she didn't have to help us. We waited 15 mins for help and not a hi or I'll be right with you. Wen ended walking out with nothing. About 100 dollars they didn't get from us. If your not a older lady looking for supplies don't bother going in there if you see this lady working. She will not help you. Very disappointing.

Great experience!! Walked us through setting up a new tank, balancing and ensuring a good environment to take our tropical fish home. Answered a boatload of questions and two weeks later my tank is running great with my dozen fish. Very friendly and knowledgeable. My new found fish store.

I went in there for the 1st time and boy was I disappointed. The tanks are yellow. They have a tank that isn’t sent up and is filthy plus they didn’t tell me I had to pay for a water test until after they tested. I will not be going back. It’s gross in there.

This is a great place to find hard to locate tropical fish.Some reviews are complaining about the smell.It's a pet shop with all kinds of animals. What do you want it to smell like. Po pourri?Petco and petsmart only have empty tanks every time I'm searching for a certain species of fish.I called 6 pet shops while trying to get otocinclus catfish and amano shrimp.These guts had everything I needed.Thank you just fish.

Nice family run store. Been around as far as I can remember living here in Delaware for 30+ years. The staff is super knowledgeable about the pets they are selling.Great selection of salt water and fresh water fish. And Aquariums! And though it's called Just fish They actually do have other types of animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, parakeets and a whole reptile and amphibian section. They also sell lots of supplies a foods for them. I find them to be the cheapest price on frozen feeders for my snakes and and for meal worms and crickets for my leopard gecko. They also have moving some of their stuff around in the store making some more room and it's looking great. Stop by and check them out!
