I am new to the area and had heard good things about Caraluzzi's. We got some of the hot food to go. The mashed potatoes were delicious. The grilled chicken is some of the worst chicken in have ever had in my life. No herbs, spices, flavourful at all. But thay wasn't the worst of it. I have never had chicken so dry. One had to drink liquid between each mouthful as it sucked all moisture out of the mouth.Shameful. I love food and was looking forward to trying this place. They should be embarrassed. Don't they care?

Excellent selection of groceries, dry goods, and household items. Coffee and pastries are great also. The gelato is excellent too! We live in Redding and this is our go to store.

Yesterday I was at Caraluzzi's somewhere between 3 and 3:30. We parked far away from any other cars, close to the road, next to the curbside pick up spots. We weren't in the store for more than 20 minutes as we had somewhere to be. When we came out we saw a shopping cart next to our car but no cars anywhere parked next to us just like when we parked before going in. At closer inspection of our car we realized the shopping cart not only scratched the side of our car but also dented it!!!I understand it was raining and miserable out but upon looking around there were carts everywhere! One parking spot had about 7 shopping carts in it, not the shopping cart corral but in an actual parking space scattered all around. It seemed as if they hadn't sent anyone out all day to collect the carts.Caraluzzi's should be held accountable for being negligent. You are responsible as a grocery store to maintain the safety of your parking lot for customers. These carts could cause accidents if they fly out into cars that are driving in the parking lot let alone a parked car (like it did damage to mine). I wouldn't be surprised if other cars were hit besides mine.I will be shopping around and getting quotes for the damage. I really hope Caraluzzi's reaches out to makes things right.

I drive the distance for this store! I really don’t know how they keep their selection so exciting - just bought vegan Korean bbq dumplings?? It really is FUN shopping here.

First time there. Fantastic bakery 🍰- very creative and delicious items. Good sushi too. 🍣 The cashier and bagger were very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back and tell others about this fantastic market.

Not one of the better markets in the Georgetown area. I went there looking for my food, there was none . Disappointed. They do not carry any beer.Dennis Mann. DO not. get me started on the meat. Cold cuts gave my grand-boy tapeworms. Not seen a worm that bad since Viet Nam.

I always shopped at this store. Ever since covid, things aren't as fresh as they used to be. Bakery items we really used to enjoy, seem to be a few days old. Always used to be fresh, nonmatter when you went. Roast beef in deli doesn't taste as good, its lacking flavor. Also girls at deli counter not very friendly. We'll leave it at that. I have mentioned it to whoever is in charge but I dont think anything was ever done about it.I always told people about caraluzzis, not so much anymore. I know a few people who live at meadow ridge senior living, they say now they just shop at different storesIt would be nice to have the old caraluzzis back.

Got there about 7:30 am and they were already well staffed. Picked up a 20 lbs. fresh ham and got a bacon egg and cheese for breakfast, double egg double cheese and loaded with bacon! Best food market by far in the area.

Concerned about the quality control and precautions in the meat department. Twice in one months time I've bought pork chops midweek. The "best buy" date the Saturday after my purchase. The 1st batch I purchased on a Wednesday, unfortunately theysmelled horrible by Friday of the same week. I tossed them. I was refunded my money. This last batch I bought on Wednesday with an expiration date of Saturday. I double checked them Friday and they were not only stinking, but moldy in two spots. Again, after speaking with a manager about the pork chop debacle, I was compensated for my purchase. I like my local store, but I wonder how many other things could be off.

Always fresh food! Their produce, meat and fish are better than Whole Foods! They carry products that no one else does. The deli is always spotless and everyone who works there is personable and polite. I don't shop anywhere else. Also they have great sales.

This store is clean, well stocked, has a decent selection and the staff is helpful BUT everything is very overpriced. Most items are $1-2 dollars more expensive then at other grocery stores like Stop N Shop. I wish I could rate the store higher but $1-2 for each item can easily increase your overall basket cost by $20-40 dollars each visit. Save your money and shop elsewhere unless your stopping by to pick up 1-2 items.

Caraluzzis is constantly well stocked! You can pick up a rotisserie chicken or two by 8am. Employees are very friendly and helpful when needed. Produce is always delicious and fresh! Thank you

This is an old timey type grocery store that hires local school kids, contributes to charities and does a great job. The store is always clean, the staff courteous and the meat department especially has really great items on sale. They offer the best meat cuts over the big chain grocery stores and also have a very nice specialty cheese section.

Absolutely love this grocery store!! Always such pleasant experience. Warm courteous and respectful employees and managers. This is our weekly grocery store. They have the best grass-fed beef and milk around. Thank you for being such an all around American grocery store!!!

I want to love this place as it’s so close to us, but time and again we keep finding mold in the food we purchase there. Once bought a pie and cut into it that day to find blue mold inside. Bread gets moldy in a day or two. I’ve even seen an entire shelf of cucumbers covered in mold IN THE STORE. When I told the woman that works there, she wasn’t even surprised. Produce also consistently goes bad within a day or two. We’ve had enough. Stay away from the bakery and the produce department unless you want to throw your money away.

Don't ever enter when you are hungry. This store is a foodies dream. I can't begin to list the incredible selection of prepared foods, cheese, sushi rolls, etc. You simply must see the store first hand. The major disadvantage is that I live in Nevada which limits my ability to visit regularly.

All high quality at Caraluzzi's. It has the neighborhood market feel and you'll get to know the employees as you go more. All the markets there are great. Bakery, deli, butcher, fish market, they're all top notch. The florist area is amazing and everything is very reasonable in price! The only thing that can be difficult is the parking lot, but that's only because the store always has people coming and going.

We used Caraluzzi to cater an engagement party for my brother and future sister in law. Bryan was extremely helpful and accommodating. The was delivered to our house on time and the presentation was impressive. The food was absolutely delicious. We usually have leftovers but guests actually asked if they could take some home with them! I was so happy that everyone enjoyed.

The supermarket is nice and organized. A lot of varieties. The produce was fresh and the cooked food was also fresh and tasty. The employees were friendly and helpful. Definitely returning when I come back to the area.

Jackie in the Floral department did a phenomenal job with the bouquet I needed for my Brother's engagement party. Would totally give a higher score if I could, super polite, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly.

Customer service is sub par. I don't blame the cashiers for their lack of personality (you either have it or you don't) or lack of initiative in asking the customer whether they need help bagging their groceries. It starts from the top. How is an employee supposed to know, unless shown or explained, how to do things? So I blame the supervisor/manager. They never forget to tell staff to push for that Caraluzzi card on the customer, but they ignore basic (and actually more important) things, like displaying a better-than-meh attitude, offering help or at least act like they cared even if they didn't.

We have been shopping at Caraluzzi's since we moved here in 1977 - first Bethel, then Georgetown and occasionally Newtown. Prices and selection competitive with every other local market and quality better than S&S for their prepared foods. Especially like their soups and sushi.

While I love Caraluzzi's market for shopping, this review is specifically about their florist. I had them do the flowers for my wedding and they absolutely knocked it out of the park. Table settings were beautiful and the bouquets were spectacular. Multiple people came up to my wife and I during the night asking what florist we used because they were so impressed with the flowers! On the back end, they made coordination and delivery simple and easy which took a lot of stress off my wife and I (which was a welcome respite). Would definitely recommend them to everyone!

My absolute favorite grocery store. The food that they actually prepare there salads, hummus babaganoush, are to die for. The butcher is too notch. I honestly can't say enough good things about this place.

Great family-owned local grocery store. Produce and meats are higher quality than the "other" national grocery store in town.Prices are surprisingly good comparatively. We go often.
