Dr. Diaz and her team were amazing when caring for my new rescue dog. The level of service and care was just what I needed as a first time dog owner. Everyone went above and beyond what I expected. Thank you for taking care of Mary Beth and easing my concerns!

My 14 year old cat has been displaying some worrisome symptoms . We recently moved to the area and I had called numerous vets offices to find someone that could get her in soon. The woman at the front desk who answered the phone here at River Road was so friendly and kind and answered all of my questions and was able to schedule my cat for the next business day, unlike many other places I called who were very rude or short with me. Upon arriving at our appointment the staff was welcoming and friendly and already had the room ready for us. The vet tech (I didn’t catch her name) was very polite, kind, and thorough. Dr Diaz was very patient with my cranky old lady cat and took the time to fully understand my cats history. She gave me options on treatment and was very kind and compassionate. Everyone was extremely professional while also being personable and I could just tell the passion they all have for animals. From the front desk to every other staff member I interacted with I was really happy with my experience and so thankful to have finally found a vet i feel comfortable with trusting my pets care !

This vet seems like all sunshine and rainbows until your dog is approaching the end of their life. They’ve always been costly, but… When major things start to go wrong and you ask them about what are the options, they don’t give you all the information to make an informed decision. You’ll get left with thousands of dollars of debt you weren’t expecting. They prescribed a medication, that can potentially cause life-threatening reactions and didn’t tell me this or give me any information so that I could help him if that happened… which it did. On top of that, in my dogs last rough time where he wouldn’t eat or drink and got dehydrated, they wouldn’t suggest anything to help him and only would suggest a “quality of life visit”… Well, he lived for another week suffering, and I got him back to health before it was his time. The amount of time that he spent dehydrated and not eating, probably affected his ability to recover, and I would never ever recommend this vet for long term care.

Rude and Lack of Professionalism. Dr. Diaz lacks Professionalism and The Vet Hospital is Focused on The Balance Sheet, Not on Pet Care. Vet Staff and Dr Diaz will get very Rude and Aggressive if ask for an explanation of overcharges...

Won't go anywhere else. They are very friendly and good with all of my pets. Also love how they offer clinic hours to come in just for shots to keep your pet updated! Really quick drive from the middle of stafford springs or just a couple minutes off of exit 70.

Our dog passed away, and we made one phone call to have her cremated. They took phenominal care, respect, and dignity.

I'll never be able to say enough good about this place. Obviously putting your dog down is always the worst thing you'll ever have to do, and when I got the news of my dogs cancer, Dr. Diaz couldn't have been a more compassionate, caring person who in that moment showed she cares for every animal this hospital sees. When it came time for Xrays, she allowed me to carry my senior dog to the room, stand right outside it and wait, and made me feel as at ease as one could understand the circumstances. I mean it with all sincerity when I say this is the greatest vet I've ever used and I couldn't recommend them more.

We love this vet. Dr. Diaz has always been phenomenal with our cats. Anytime we have had an issue with one of them, they calls us back immediately and give advice to me right over the phone. When one of our cats had an allergic reaction to a vaccine, they got us in right away and saved our cats life. They even checked in with us next day to see how she was doing and sent us a card in the mail. An extremely thoughtful, caring vet. Friendly staff always willing to help. So grateful for them. The best vet we have been to in the area and we have used plenty over the years but none of them have been as kind, responsive and amazing as River Road Vet.

RRVC is full of compassionate people that truly care for your fuzzy family members. They were very helpful with helping treating our cat with surgery, all up until the handling of memorializing her posthumously with the cremation. They were very sweet and understanding of our loss, that you can only find with the professionals here.We want to thank the team there for their assistance during that process and to let them know we appreciate their efforts through and through. Very kind

I just want to tell everyone that sometimes we say and do things we don’t mean. This was me. I said some bad things about these great people at river rd. Vet and I’m very sorry I did. Today they made it a point to accommodate my dog King who has been going there since they opened way back when and no one else could have been more caring and careful with him. I admit when I’m wrong and I was for saying anything negative. I am grateful for all they have done for King in his time of need. Thank you Dr. Diaz,Alexa and the rest of the staff for being wonderful today. You guys put me and wife at ease as well as comforting us. I am man enough to admit I was wrong and hopefully this can make up for that. Again thank you very much for all you guys did. No one should ever go anywhere else for great service from people who care.

Dr Diaz is incredible. She's so empathetic and kind and smart and so good with my pooch. She's also very pragmatic, which I appreciate. Taking my dog to her was night and day compared to my last experience taking him to a vet. I also took an extremely reactive, stressed out foster to her last year and Dr. Diaz was so great with her.Brandi and April are also both awesome. They are so patient with all of the questions I call/ email in with. I genuinely feel like they know me and my dog and love him (almost!) As much as I do

Super friendly and very quick. Was able to bring my cat in the day I called and in under 10 minutes they knew what the problem was and what we needed to do to right it. He stayed there for 2 days and they called me twice a day to update me. They answered all my questions, cant stress how polite and informative they were. They were also very loving and sweet to my boy too. It all really made the panic of him being gone and everything easier.Would definitely recommend and trust them again. (And the price wasnt too ridiculous with all his treatments either)

Wonderful staff stayed late for me to come in with some malnourished kittens we found in a barn. A couple of the techs took them home to give them the 24 care they needed to nurse them into good health. Clean facility, easy to find. Highly recommended by a cat lady friend of mine who knows plenty of vets.

The entire staff was extremely kind and helpful. They love your pets almost as much as you do. They do not push unnecessary medications, procedures, etc. just for financial gain. They really do care about you and your family, and trust me they know your pets are your family. They treat your pets with complete and total compassion, care and understanding. They know how traumatic a visit to the vet is just as traumatic as a visit to the doctor for your kids (and some adults, LOL!). The patience, calm, gentleness, sympathy and empathy that the staff portray are not just comforting and reassuring, to the animals. But to the animals humans.

Super friendly staff. I took my cat there after she had about nine years without vet care (previous vet asked to never have her return!!! She was a playful Young cat who bit him when he tried to examine her). They were not condescending about the gap in care, but were instead lovely with her. Knowledgeable and kind to both animal and owner :-)Also: Waiting room is large and separated for dog vs cat, which is nice.Totally trust this place :-)

The staff at River Road Veterinary Center has provided us and our dogs with exemplary service in the time that we have been using their services. Having come to them first with a small issue for one of our dogs, we later returned for another unrelated issue (same dog) some months later. This issue was quite severe and required many consults, a multi-night stay, and further aftercare, all the while with honest, but caring opinion. Our pup came through wonderfully, but I believe much of this was due to the diligence of the staff at River Road. We will forever be grateful for their dedication. Routine care has been excellent, with honest assessments of our dogs, and no extra sales pitches of products they don't really need. We intend to use River Road for all of our pet care for years to come.

Excellent care of our cats and rabbits. My cats appreciate that there are separate entrance/exits and waiting rooms for dogs and cats. Our cats stayed there for the day when we moved. They got to stay in the"sibling room", so they were able to be together in a big room and they could move around, and there were no other animals in the room. There were all kinds of comfy perches and even a big window to look out of. We knew they were safe, comfortable and well- cared for and didn't have to worry about their getting over-stressed on moving day. It was$17 per cat for the day and I'm so glad we did it.

Vets are so knowledgeable and kind. Prices are actually affordable, and you don't feel as though they are doing tests just to get money out of you. They totally get that your pet isn't a car to be maintained regularly, but a member of your family that needs individualized care. I really feel like they care about me and my dog. Wonderful place.

Our first visit here, just for yearly shots The staff were sweet and kind. My only caviot was the smell. Very strong, stale cleaning products. Could use some open windows. Beautiful facility though.

We have been going here for almost 7 years with our anxiety ridden dog. Always charge us 15 to clip his nails. After giving him the comfort cocktail prescribed by vet he still needs 3 to hold him while he gets nails done. Yesterday they charged 45 because the tech in the front had to help. Very upset about this! I will be looking elsewhere.

We took in a female cat, who after getting out, got pregnant and ended up having 3 kittens. Everything was going good until Marlee wasn't getting better after pregnancy sickness. We then noticed a bump on her neck area and thought maybe she got into a fight with another cat in the house. Few days go by and it's getting worse to the point we had to bring her to river road.As it's happened to the best of us covid has cut my hours and I wasn't a lucky candidate for unemployment as I am considered an essential employee. So, bills piling up, now I have a cat with a problem. The vets at river road took Marlee in and gave her an exam. They said she needed surgery right away due to having a possible abscess and that it will more than likely kill her very soon because of the infection getting into her blood. So we took her home and I didn't know what do. I was starting to accept the fact that my cat is going to die and probably suffer. I felt helpless. We managed to come up with some money and had them do the surgery and also get her spayed. They worked with us and understood our situation. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The environment is very nice and they follow the states covid recommendations for safety. They even have a drive up window for safe consultation and/or pickup/drop off. We found out she had a 'bot fly' that burrowed into her trachea. She is a extremely lucky kitty.Marlee is safe at home and recovering. She just went back today for a checkup and to have stitches removed. She got a clean bill of health.Thank you River road!Update: Marlee is great now and is a BIG kitty!

Just wanted to post on here my appreciation for Dr Ashley Diaz, I spent the majority of my career in the veterinary field working with her and trust her with anything and everything with my pets. She's unbelievably compassionate, realistic and honest, as well as an EXCELLENT doctor. I saw her save so many lives and perform some exceptional care on patients and my own pets.Recently as a month ago, she helped diagnose my dog Bella with a (really not fun) immune disease that ended up taking her life, but she was honest with me throughout it and nothing was a surprise so I was able to cope with the loss of my sweet pup better. She recommended all the appropriate diagnostics and luckily I was able to get them done to confirm what was going on. While Bella is no longer with us, Dr Diaz made me feel like we were doing the right thing in the end, and my girl is now at peace. Before you read the one angry post from that one person, read mine. Any doctor can make mistakes, I have seen a lot in my time in the field, but they're human. Ashley really does everything in her power to not let them happen under her watch and has exceptional veterinary ethics. I trust her with every single one of my beloved pets and moved two hours away so unfortunately I have to find someone new to bring my babies to and I'm dreading it.

The 2 stars are for the treatment of our rabbit. They were able to get a specialist in to neuter him which is difficult to find in this part of the state. For the treatment of our dog... well let’s just say we won’t be back. We had initially thought this was going to be our primary vet as we have brought our other dogs here. However after the management change this place clearly puts emphasis on making money. We brought our pup for a checkup exam after bringing him home. The nurse looked him over and talked about getting vaccines and said he had what looked like an ear infection. We expressed interest in the shots, but also clearly stated we would be doing shots at another time since this checkup was for the breeder to know everything was going okay. The doctor comes in, swabs his ears, looks at the swab (in the lab) and then proceeds to give our dog shots. We thought the shots were related to his ear infection - nope. They vaccinated our dog and billed us. About $350 later and calling them to express our discontent with how we felt, we basically got told that the dog needed to get shots anyways. How unprofessional!I took my business to Stafford vet the next time my dog had an ear infection and not only did they not push vaccinations on me (they did remind us that he was due again soon and the importance of the Lyme vaccine) they gave us medication that would help prevent ear infections. Go to Stafford vet!

At a very difficult time, staff and the doctor here were wonderful. I had to bring my sweet thirteen year old Boston Terrier in for her last time here on earth. It was heartbreaking but these people treated the experience with love. They were so respectful and gave us all the time that we needed even though it was well past their closeing time. My husband and I have been thinking about bringing a puppy into our lives in the next coming months. When we do, this is where we will bring it him/her. Absolutely.
