Such a great place for all homeownership, I have been here several times and they have many of the items that you'd may not expect from a smaller home/Hardware store chain.I was in this time to rent a walk behind Brush cutter. I rented it for 4 hour's, and the machine did a really great job. I was able to clear out about 1/4 acre in the 4 hour's that I had rented it for. I went through 2.5 tanks of ⛽ gasoline. Definitely gave this thing a workout, and put it through its paces! So if you're looking for a machine rental, I would recommend this location for all your needs. The staff is always eager to assist you, and they seem to knowledgeable in what they're selling.I would definitely go back here again, they seem to have many things you might not expect from a Hardware store.Great Job, Guy's. I went in today to buy some Carhartt clothes. I instantly got racially profiled. I was followed into the Carhartt section. The cashier didn't leave the area until I did. I just gave him the clothes back and left. It was my first and last time going. I did not expect to feel like this just for some pants and a jacket.

I stopped in today, while inside the skies unleashed, it was crazy! Unfortunately, I bought some bags of concrete and I had to drive around to have them loaded. The poor young man was a drowned rat but as pleasant and helpful as could be! He even apologized for the rain! Love hometown local stores! From the manager on down these folks are the best!!

This is a very large and nice hardware store. Not as large as the giant stores like Lowe’s or Home Depot, but bigger and nicer than the average family owned hardware store, which sometimes have dusty, old products on the shelf.

Very clean, well stocked, diversified hardware+ inventory, above average help available from employees. Best of all they have an amazing rental shop with everything from drill bits to backhoes available to rent for reasonable rates!

This was my neighborhood hardware store growing up and they were great. Key word in that last sentence is were. Just picked up two chains from Sharpening, they are burnt and have huge hanging burrs to the point I will have to go over them all by hand and should have just sharpened them my self. They requested a phone number at drop off but never called to say they were done. The place has been on the decline for the past decade.

This hardware store always has just what I need from parts for the tractor to electrical switches and gardening supplies. Their friendly staff is quick to help and search for items. They also have an extensive amount of equipment to rent for big projects and events.

Recently rented party chairs and tables from True Value, when I received them, they immediately had me sign a receipt document before they even had me look at the table and chairs. Their form has you automatically opt-in for an accidental damage waiver, and has you sign to opt-out as opposed to letting you choose if you want it. When they delivered the tables and chairs, they were of inferior quality and I didn't have much choice but to use them since the party was that day. The tables were very beaten up and aged, had obviously been stored outside and exposed to the weather, and one of them had globs of gum on the underside that they hadn't cared enough to freeze and scrap off. Luckily we covered them with linens so this wasn't noticeable. However, of the 30 chairs they delivered, they were all dirty and had black scuff marks all over them. We had to wash every one of the chairs to the best to our ability, but the black marks wouldn't come out even with a Mr. Clean Magic Clean Eraser. We ended up leaving three of the chairs in our garage because they were simply not presentable. We felt embarrassed even using the chairs, but luckily the linens, glassware and center pieces we had set up were attractive enough that they distracted away from the appearance of the chairs. They didn't even tell me when they were going to pick-up the chairs when we were done; they had an all-day window on the receipt. Had to call to get a real approximate time.It's also not the first time I've had trouble with this store. They have constant stock-outs of on-sale items. You can almost assume that if the deal is good that they will stock-out, and if you take a rain check, it "may" be in the store 3 - 4 days later.

I shop there regularly in the Willimantic, CT store. The staff are friendly and helpful and I can often get advice on projects. I am a farmer and use many tools and other hardware. I generally find what I need and if not they order it for me. This is like the small hardware stores of my youth but they carry a lot more stock. Overall I greatly prefer it to the big box stores.

Excellent customer service. Even the young lady at the register Bethany. I had bought paint and she notice that I didn't have paint stirrers. She had them right underneath the register witch was very convenient I didn't have to get out of line. A+.

I had repair done to my snowblower there. I used it one time and it broke again. After just having paid around $350. for the repair, I called them immediately to let them know the repair failed. They refused to take it back without having to pay for a whole new repair. Needless to say I was very unhappy that I just threw away all that money and still have a broken machine. I did business there for years but will no longer give them my business.

They had my weed wacker for 5 weeks and didn’t touch it. The guy said it should be about 5 weeks, when I called they said that they were busy and haven’t looked at it yet. I asked if it needed parts how much longer, and the lady that had no clue how to run her department couldn’t give me an answer. When I picked it up 40 days later, two mechanics and one incompetent “boss” were standing around.

I don't need to shop here often but when I do I always feel like part of a family.. They always have what I'm looking for, always kind and more willing to jump over the moon to get you what you're looking for... They know their store and don't drag you through it to find something... They honestly care about you when you come through the door... Thank you...

I dropped off a blower to have two screws replaced and when I picked it up they did services I didn't ask for or agree to have done to the tune of over $86. They couldn't understand why I was upset. No one got my permission to do the work, they just did it and told me to pay for it. If you take your car in for an oil change would you pay for a brake job too? The owner didn't even want to return my phone calls. Will never do business with them again. Make sure you get in writing what you want them to do or you may be in trouble.

The worst must unreliable management ever. On June 23, 2019 dropped off two window screens for repairs and 6 more to be made. The manager Joe, indicated that will be ready in 10 days, because he had to train a new person. After weeks of excuses, on July 18, we recovered our screens and took them to the professionals in Vernon, that got them done within four days.
