It was my first time inside a Whole Foods Market. Overall it had nice presentation, all the produce looked fresh and the store was clean. The price was about mid-range for a supermarket, but the people working there all seemed happy and not as stressed as other large retailers. Not as many name brands as I expected, although the products they stock appear to be good quality.

I took a two day trip to West Hartford, CT; to visit a 97yr. old dear friend of mine, Ms. Doris Artist. I stopped at Whole Foods because I've always loved their selection and the array of products that are always on shelf and well stocked. I brought some pastries, vitamins, some of that gorgeous smelling soap, a body cleanse or as some may say, "A Rejuvenation." Either way, "New Life," has a product to help get those toxins and radicals out of your body that keeps you feeling weighed down. My purpose of going in was to get either a Spinach or Carrot juice but looking around, I was so impressed and forgot my main purpose. Oh, well it happens to the best of us!! Always stop in this store when you're in West Hartford visiting. Why? Because you will always find something you need or desire! "Whole Foods Market," is the representation of what a market should always look like, - "Clean, Well stocked in Produce, Vegetables, Bread, Desserts,- must I go on?.....I love this store anywhere it's located and I'm sure you will too.Naomi Tucker - "Turtles!"

The employees are very knowledgeable and the store is always clean. It's usually busy, obviously because people like going here, myself included. I just wish they had a bigger gluten free section!

In general, this Whole Foods’ Vegan option have dwindled greatly. The bakery used to offer vegan blueberry muffin, cookies, doughnuts, and croissants…But now they have pre-made/pre-packaged vegan baked items. And very few vegan options on the salad bar. I will have to go elsewhere to find vegan foods and baked goods from now on.

Whole Foods is a healthy choice super market. I'm not a huge fan, as almost everything is more expensive than I want to pay. Guess I'm not in their target demographic, and after shopping in their stores, I definitely don't feel like it. I find the clientele and much of the staff unwarm. I don't go there often, and don't plan frequent there much in the future.

Thank you for putting the customer first! This location "gets it". Keisha in Bakery and Mgr at C.S. counter went above and beyond this past Christmas Eve...this review is long overdue but well deserved. Both were extremely polite, helpful and friendly after another location rudely dismissed a matter with order I placed previous day that was canceled MINUTES before my paid delivery window. I know things happen but I was given an 'oh well' and 'don't have time for this' attitude. At no time was I loud, disrespectful or vulgar. I asked for solutions, if I came to store myself, and was told there were none.WHOLE FOODS WEST HARTFORD BLUE BACK SQUARE - you people are A+++ across the board!!!

Great selection of items. The biggest Whole Foods around. Plenty of parking with some underground parking. The staff are very friendly. Store is clean. We would recommend this place if you are in the area. 4 out of 5 because of the rude customers which Whole Foods can’t control.

First time in this store because I needed to return an amazon item and blown away by the fresh produce and the customer service. I ended up buying fruits 🍎 that I never heard of .. I will be back… they actually bag your items and acknowledge your presence ❤️❤️❤️

First time shopper here at this CT location. Last time as well---never again!Was told @courtesy desk coffee bar was closed Sunday because people don't drink hot coffee on Sunday! Huh!They most definitely drink it at WF stores on Long Island on Sundays---no?Can only assume this is a practical top down business decision since this WH store perhaps can't make money selling fresh hot coffee on Sundays---right?Or is it cultural or religious or legal "thing?"I was planning to get food @salad bar with hot coffee & enjoy it there inside store but left disgusted, no purchases.Odd to think no coffee service available Sunday anywhere in USA.So I went nearby to Barnes and Noble to get my fresh hot coffee there @Starbucks inside, about 15 coffee drinkers seated. So I related my Sunday coffee-less experience at competitor WF & asked several customers if thecitizens of this city refrain from drinking hot coffee on Sundays.I received perplexed looks, nobody could account for this Sunday "thing" but assured me it wasn't against the law in thiscity or state of Connecticut to sell fresh hot coffee on Sundays before noon.Glad to give my money to a business actually offering fresh hot coffee on Sundays. If you're ever visiting this city on a Sunday at least now you know where you can/cannot buy fresh hot coffee.No thanks to this Whole Foods CT location for their "penny wise pound foolish" business model that inconveniences would be customers like me forced to patronize competitor Starbucks next door.

I love this Whole Foods in West Hartford. Everything I need, and then some in one place. I need keto/paleo friendly options and their store is full of them. Every cheese you could imagine, the bakery is full every time I come here, so is the prepared foods section. Their freshly made peanut butter is so much better than any other peanut butter in my opinion. Make sure if you have amazon prime you scan it at the register to get your savings.

The hot meals section has been lacking for the last month or two... a bunch of empty trays, no soup or empty soup buckets .. I wish they advertised a menu of what they actually had out for hot meals online so that I didn't keep wasting my time...

This store needs to improve their cleaning process at the eating station. It’s full of crumbs and sauce traces especially underneath the tables, speaking of which, their surfaces are very sticky. We ended up eating in the car! The location in Avon CT though is crispy clean like…wow!

Beautiful location with big parking lot and parking garage. Always well stocked and very clean. Aisles are wide and can accommodate multiple carriages passing through.

Update 2: looks like absolutely nothing was done and there is STILL just a tiny slot with hardly any whole milk stocked. Prior responses to this were merely platitudes with no intention of correcting the issue. Good job (not!)For the love of God - could you please stock more than 2 gallons of whole milk? The tiny spot in the cooler is always empty.Update: to whoever responded to this review, you have all the details you need: you know what the issue is, the out-of-stock product in question, as well as the store location. Please do your job and fix the problem.

Nice place to shop but seeing fruit flats or gnats in the store during the cold months is disgusting. There’s no way customers should still be seeing these things as summer is over. Produce stock team need to do a lot better and get rid of old fruits and veggies instead of piling new fruits and veggie on top of old ones. This goes call for the health department as customers can get really ill from this.

They had on sale organic strawberries. But lay looked very beat up, some of them had mold growing on the strawberries And some of the strawberries looked mushy.

Whole Foods Market is one of my favorite places to shop. Particularly for clean and organic items. I enjoy the prepared foods and access to things that have a lotof health benefits. It is also an excellent place for me to grab a sensible lunch, snack, and a sweet treat!

Traditional whole foods but I do appreciate the fact that I'm able to get some import beers here that I can't find anywhere else and they always have at least 2 in stock at any point.The selection of normal groceries and products is similar, though it is pricier because of it

I love shopping here; it is just an all-around great experience. The food is so visually pleasing; fresh and plentiful. I bought beautiful, huge strawberries, sandwiches, trail mix and tomatoes, none of which disappointed. I had only planned on going in to return a package to Amazon, hence the abbreviated shopping list.

What started out as a bad experience with the attitude of an employee. Everyone has a bad day, I get it. My concern was quickly resolved by the store manager Cara. Cara was quick to offer to resolve my problem and did so cheerfully with a wonderful smile. Thank you Cara for providing stellar customer service. Much appreciated. Thank you to the service desk representative Kathy for encouraging me to talk with the manager. Leaving the store a once again happy customer. 👏👏

Great variety In all departments. Fresh produce, meats and beautiful fish. A large variety of Bulk items. Many items on sale. Even better deals for Amazon Prime members. I can't afford to shop here on a weekly basis, but it's a great place to go for a little splurge and to buy something different.

This is my favorite grocery store in the world! Whole Foods has the best gluten free options and allergy friendly food at the best prices. I have been able to try so many new foods because this store has a huge variety of allergen friendly foods. The produce is fantastic and I just can't get over the fact that they have so many vegan/ gluten free items. They have so many vegan "cheeses", gluten free cereals, and gluten free frozen options. They typically have items on sale but the prices for allergy friendly foods are comparable to any other grocery store. They have numerous self check out stations. I highly recommend this grocery store if you like good quality food.

Love this branch of Whole Foods. There's a huge variety of fresh produce and packaged products. This variation is also reflected in the price range, meant to cater the consumers with different budgets. Love the daily deals that runs on some of the items. There's something new I discover everytime I go there.
