Personally I have never preferred stop & shop. Their prices seem to be a little bit higher than other stores, they do have some decent sales sometimes. Just stop and shop is much nicer than most stop and shops within 50 miles. I do know that it was built more recently, so that may explain why it seems nicer, it also seems smaller than most stop & shops which can be nice for shopping. I have found that at most grocery stores the employees are not too helpful or have no knowledge and will not seek that knowledge unless you repeatedly push the matter, some of the employees here seemed a little bit more knowledgeable and helpful. I probably wouldn't shop at stop & shop too often if I had more options in my area.

Horrible customer service. I think this girl was working register 2 around 6:30pm on 2/12/24. She told the customer in front of me to tell me to get out of her lane because she was closing it due to the weigh scale not working. I suggested for her to shut off her light and she didn't listen to me. I moved over to lane 1 just for someone in lane 1 to move over to lane 2 and she took care of them. This made me very angry along with other customers because how do you kick someone out of your lane to take another customer right in front of them. Other customers said they have seen this specific person play favorites in the past. Such a shame. I was standing in her lane around 15 min to wait at least another 10 because of her. Very unprofessional and not the right way to do customer service. I don't know her name but I believe she is a manager of some sort. She was wearing bright red lipstick with straight hair. She did not seem to care that she made multiple customers upset with the stunt she pulled. Maybe a retrain on how to properly take care of customers is needed. I was understanding with the issue but when you take a customer despite the issue and even used the scale for that customer, you got caught in a lie. It seems to always be a negative experience lately in this stop and shop. Also shameful survey. Did not co.plete it. How do you falsely say its a survey to hear your customers voices but yet they want to k ow everything about a customers home like their income.

Always something awry at this location. Today's waste of time involved checking out my own items..and then being told that I needed to get back on line , to go pay for a gift card. My time is constantly wasted at this location ( always for different reasons). When will I learn my lesson to stop coming here ?

The prices have increased dramatically over the last few years of shopping here I realized Aldi is better. I will shop here though for items I don't like at Aldi because most of their things are off-brand. For the most part, though, stop n shop is good for a quick shop experience

Be careful they leave rotten meat out I got food poisoning from there meat the other day I been sick as a dog. I didn’t have anything else to eat but that stop and shop meat that day. Because I was on a budget.

The new store is well planned out, but I don't like the way meat and produce is packaged you can't tell if the bottom pieces are as good as the top pieces.

First time at this location. Restrooms were very dirty. I can’t believe the workers have to use the bathrooms so dirty and then go back to work. It was really disgusting. I’ve used the restroom in other locations and it was very clean.

Some of the staff is very rude my finance asked a worker where something was and he told her i dont know ask someone else while just standing around on his phone the bathrooms smelled absolutely disgusting and i actually walked in on a guy smoking what smelled like crack based on my emergency services knowledge and then my fiance who can understand some spanish overheard 2 gang members standing by the baked goods saying sup hows the gang when this guy leaves (meaning me ) get her in your car and get out of here quick i think hes a cop (meanwhile im a volunteer firefighter far from waterbury) all in spanish so they didnt think anyone else could understand them after my fiance told me what they were saying we left quick NOT a safe place what so ever and will never be back

Bad customer service at the deli big girl with the hairy face that wears glass please stay home your at the wrong field stop and shop do better this was my 1sr time with an issue with anyone that works here wash your hair and your clothes who raise you.

Ordered cupcakes for an event for my son gave them 72 hours notice to make the cupcakes. Went to pick up the cupcakes the day of the event and they were not done. Huge disappointment. Would not recommend ordering birthday cake or cupcakes or anything that is for an important occasion from here.

It was far from the worst I have experienced but equally as far from the best. The fruit selection was very good and of good quality. When I went to enter, the entry door was broken. The whole place had a need of freshening up. Got to self checkout and had to pay for a bag, which later failed and left all of my items on the ground.

I hate to say this, but I have been a long time customer and the staff is always great!! They seem happy and are there to help. Recently (last week or so) I’ve noticed the staff so unhappy?! They seem like they don’t want to be there. I saw An employee this week that looked like she had just been crying?! Not sure if something has changed?

Average grocery store with well above average prices. Every grocery store offers produce, bakery, prepared foods, meats, and general staples for the home. This store just offers them at much higher prices than other grocers in the area.

Just came from stop n shop we bought meat on Friday n it went bad in the fridge by today brought it back and stop n shop not only gave us our meat but doubled it!!! Way to go stop n shop that was refreshing and the customer service man there at 1230pm needs an award he was bomb!!!!! Thank you @stop & shop

I hate that the best deals are with digital coupons so I always miss out I am not installing another intrusive app on my phone . I have been a stop and shop custome for over 50 years especially at this Reidville location.

Always shopped here and enjoyed seeing the regular staff, always nice. Recently I’ve been a bit worried about the staff- seems everyone is angry about being at work. Not the same customer service I’m used to.

Clean store, well stocked, friendly staff. Sale items can be awesome, but other non-sale items tend to be a bit above market value. Gotta do what you gotta do though, and nothing is outrageously priced so it's a nice spot to avoid the crowd by spending a little more. The produce is fresh and bountiful and lots of variety here

Compared to the 2 other Stop & Shop's in Waterbury, while this store on Reidville Drive isn't the neatest or cleanest one, they always have the sale and free items that are advertised with digital coupons. The Stop & Shop on Wolcott Street NEVER has the biweekly FREE FRIDAY items, and while it's the closest store for me, due to ridiculous prices, product unavailability, and long checkout lines, I've started frequenting Aldi, and when necessary, the S&S on Chase Ave. But this Reidville location also offers many more self checkouts than the others, and that makes shopping here much less stressful. For me, it's now worth the extra few miles and traffic to come to this location.

Love this place. It's so much better than my local stop and shop mainly because it has a more of a different vibe. You go in there and feel good about doing your groceries. The setup is nice and easy to manage getting around the store on your own. As far as I've experienced the workers are nice.

Rude, disgusting employees. Especially the bake shop employees and the manager. How do you get mad at someone for asking you to write on a cake..it’s literally part of your job. But don’t come here asking for that from the bake shop employee Darrel because he’ll slam your cake down on the table and roll his eyes. Oh yeah, and if you respond and put them in their place you’ll be asked to leave. F this place.

Awful staff. One of the managers, I think his name is James (bald, African American), smokes in the store bathroom. I went in for early shopping and caught him coming out of the bathroom followed by a puff of cigarette smoke. Not sure how this is even possible with the smoke alarms, unless maybe they’re broken. It makes the entire store smell. Absolutely disgusting and inappropriate for a store manager to be doing. This is also very dangerous for shoppers like my mom who has asthma

The prices omg..also stop n shop isn't the bomb like it used to be. I really wish we had Market basket here in Connecticut. Whalley stop n shop is terrible in New Haven too..don't go!
