In the past few years they have started pricing household items with a permanent black marker. And while they used to do this on the bottom they now write the price anywhere. Be aware that THE PRICE WRITTEN WITH A BLACK MARKER DOESN’T ALWAYS COME OFF. And if it doesn’t YOU CANNOT RETURN THE ITEM. Carry a small can of Goo Gone or Goof Off and, at check-out, try to take the black markings off. I’ve done this a few times. The first time the black price and code came off and I bought the vase for $19.99. The second time, on an expensive stone planter, the price didn’t come off so I didn’t buy it for $39.99. Since they won’t allow returns, if the item you want is expensive and they have marked it up with permanent marker in a place that will be visible, you need to test this at the check-out counter or you are throwing your money away. But you have to do this at check-out because you are not allowed to buy an item that isn’t priced.

They got fairly good deals at good prices, however really do your research before purchasing. Its very common for this location to see better deals on ebay.3-stars because they sell As-is but dont thoroughly check if the product is unusable. No one is going to buy a monitor that has a damaged screen for $50. That is trash taking up space and wasting a customer’s time trying to figure out if it works.Also, they have enough electronics going through this store to where it’s absolutely justifiable for the store to have a running basic PC test-bench to test out PC parts in front of customers. No excuse not to, given that they can literally use a PC on a display shelf as a permanent test bench. Other RWB locations do this, this location does not.My recommendations? Cheap cables and chargers are hard to beat in price as you can get 5-7 good quality USB-C chargers or lightning cables for $1-$3 per bag. In contrast, Official Apple cables MSRP at $20-$30Update: I added an image to prove my point as of April 24th.

This first pic shows some of the great finds that my teen daughter found to decorate her wall (second pic shows it hung). Other pics are from the store. As you can see, it is huge and a variety of kitchen, living room, dining room, clothes for all are sold here. She loves dark academia decor and also found an antique bowl; old style taper candle holders (not pictured). The reason I gave it 4 stars is that my teen experienced rudeness. I found the staff super busy and working non-stop. Very important cash only establishment no returns/no exchanges. We left a lot on the counter but we bought a lot too. Thankfully I had cash but there is an ATM available.

One of my favorite thrift stores around, they always have great things to find. Always new merchandise coming out on the floor. It can get a little crowded sometimes, but definitely worth it. Also it is cash only

Red White & Blue in Waterbury is huge!! Filled with just about everything a thrift store can have. It gets very crowded and can be overwhelming. Overall it seems fairly clean and we'll run. Some prices are crazy high and others are a great bargain. Worth stopping in to look around.

Tons of good stuff to look through but the staff is extremely rude, they will push your cart out of your hands if you’re in the way of them putting an item on the rack and they will yell at you. You have to ask them to unlock the bathroom and most of the time they will completely ignore the request and walk away, there are definitely a few nice employees but the majority are nasty and rude. And on top of that they have significantly raised their prices I’ve seen multiple clothing items priced at 30-50$ and shoes up to 80$ they also will change tags that are on sale so you cannot actually get the sale price for that day. This store can have some good bargains but overall it is chaotic, unorganized, overpriced and extremely unpleasant.

I always walk out with a bag full of stuff but the journey to get to the register is rather unpleasant. You cannot shop from the new racks which is understandable as they have work to do (they literally will yell at you if you do) but then you see their favorite customers shopping new racks without being yelled at. There are NO go back racks which makes no sense. You are not going to buy everything you put into your cart (and you have to check everything over carefully as you will find damage and flaws and nothing is returnable) and so you have to tote all of that around till you get to the register and then the clerks there give you attitude. I mean, what do you want from us? Put a rack up for things we don't want. How hard is that? There is no place in the store to stop and actually sort your cart. If you go near the furniture and try to do there, they yell at you. If you go over to a corner, you will find 10 other shoppers trying to work in that space. Mark off a corner, put "sorting" on a sign, add some racks for returns, please. I think the employees for the most part are nice but they seem to have pretty large quotas of what to put out in a day and so they can be bristly for sure. The shoes are so overpriced I don't go to that section at all. The aisle between the baggies and the pan is so narrow that if anyone has a cart, you cannot get past them. This is long but I hope someone reads this and considers making improvements to help me spend more money here!

The manager is so disrespectful, careless and extremely rude every single time I go there. If it isn’t with me and my family it’s with another person. She needs to get fired, I can’t tell you how many times her attitude has made me Jus walk out the store with nothing. It’s been like this for atleast a year. She needs to be replaced asap. & the employees jus walk all over you, bump you, don’t care who is on the floor. A shame because I love throttling and they have good stuff. The managers need a training they allDo. Smh

SCAMMERS, SCAMMERS, SCAMMERS. BE AWARE! I give 0. They currently have 3 fake rolexs in there jewelry case marked for 500 dollars which are some of the worst fakes I have ever seen. I told the girl working there and she didn't remove them or even care.

I'm addicted to this store! First time at RWB was October 2023. I've visited at least 6x since. Here's what you should know: 1. only accept cash- there's 2 atm in building. 2. No returns/no refund 3.No fitting room, make sure you dress in leggings/t-shirt to try on items. 4. I've seen plus size up to 4x so don't think they don't have your size. 5.There's only 2 mirrors in the store, be prepared to share with other customers. 6. Mon, Tues, Thurs they'll have only 1 color tix 75% off! 7. They close at 6p. Each time I spend between $100 - $200 for 15-25 items which can be jewelry, candles, belts, shoes, hats, clothing, coats There's men, children, appliance, luggage n home decor section. The store is huge! I'm in there at least min of 4 hrs. I love the designer clothes you won't find elsewhere. They stock new items on rack every 30 mins. I promise you, it's worth the drive. And staff is great!

Girls kept putting items behind the counter as she scanned them. When I paid I only had 5 out of six. Thank God I noticed as I left the store. I went back and told her I forgot something and she just took it from behind the counter and gave it to me. Suspicious or just an honest mistake? I don't know. But workers are rude, store is dirty and crowded. Absolute chaos

I really did like this place it was huge very spacious a lot of items it's just we got there pretty late I'm going to say 5:45 and they close at 6 so we really can look but they have really good discounts everything's color-coded and it's 10% off 25% off 50% off 75% off on a daily basis so we're definitely going to check him out again but I got a beautiful pot set I think it's a Cuisinart 40 bucks for all the pieces you got to see I'll post it awesome sauce😍😍😍😍👍👍👍

Sometimes you do find great stuff but man sometimes they are ridiculous put prices like it’s right out the retail store today they had a Stanley cup with a broken handle and they still priced at 39.99 WTH ! It’s a thrift store not a pawnshop

Be very careful with your purchases you will be charged twice and it’s very easy to forget your merchandise the idea is to distract you.. You will never find items on sale for the day as they change the tags I have taken photos of items and went back the next day and all items were change with a different color of course not the color of the day .. SHAME MONEY HUNGRY!! And you can hear the works on the floor speaking ill of the customers

It's pathetic and dishonest that you REtag items so they are not the discount color of the week. You get everything for free, don't be so greedy. Also, train your employees to be a little more polite to customers. The only nice one is the jewelry lady.

Good clothes with the worst costume service. They close at 6pm and 5:45 there’s already someone screaming bending you to go to the cashier because they close at 6. We’re practically kick off from the store. I understand if they close at 6pm nobody can come to the store but they cannot screaming with the people that’s already in the store buying theirs stuff. So ridiculous behavior with the customers

I have been shopping here for years, love this place. Really wish they didn't only take cash the atm there is expensive. Some of their stuff is definitely overpriced. The staff is great they keep things stocked and I'm not stuck waiting in a long line forever. Only real negatives is other customers being rude, children running rampant, and them not being open Sunday. Never had anything but good conversations with the staff.

Came here to find a couple things, came out with a tote bag, some t shirts and other novelties, nothing special. Pricing was okay, somethings are marked up and I could tell that some items are not ever discounted, they will just switch out the tags or take to the back, my friends loved it here. The earring bundles are a great deal.

They REtag all items before the discount of the day, so basically you buying old stuff for high price. Definitely bias environment employees wouldn’t recommend black people to goto this store if you do don’t go in with a book bag they will threaten to call the cops. Im currently a college student went in there to look for some books to read a little or possible if i like the book purchase it which I've done before.but before m interview at big lots i was nervous i say as soon as i go in there they want my bag i tell point to the womens book bag in front of me and then they let me go to call me back again which is giving harrasment. No customer should have to endure this type of treatment.

The staff is very rude. I didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to place the clothes I decided I didn’t want on the rack in the isles. The staff member took them off and threw them back in my cart and stated very rudely I needed to bring them to the front when I check out if I didn’t want them. Please put signs on the racks so is customers know! Half the staff doesn’t seem to speak a lick of English either. Please encourage them to learn. Also, I encourage you have a return policy as I was checking the clothes out for quality (no rips or stains) and the staff member rudely stated I couldn’t be in the isle doing that. Where can I do that then? There’s no room up front of the store to do that as that blocks traffic too.

I LOVE THIS STORE! Mind you, there may be a language barrier because most of the employees speak other languages, but if you are polite and not condescending, they really try to help you. This store has something for everyone. So many times I’ve visited and found one of a kind articles. The color days are a bonus. You’ll get to know what is what as far as pricing. You cannot go wrong with this store, just don’t come in with that “I’m better than you mentality and you’ll enjoy yourself. I’ve seen customers being over dramatic and very loud as if they own the store. Just be nice.

Worked here back in 2011 in the back. Horrible place, we got yelled at if we talked, one day while sorting things one manager came to our table smacked the table and yelled NO TALKING PEOPLE. It was horrible they where constantly on your butt to be quick worse job i ever had. Idk how they're still open don't apply here or shop here.

They have good stuff. But I check EBay while I’m there. And I literally buy stuff on eBay instead. They had a pair of sandals and they were 37.00. Had some scuffs. I went right on eBay and they were $24. In better shape !! Everyone has Google lens. So we all know what things are worth. They should not call that a thrift store. They want top dollar on good stuff! One good thing they have a lot of registers open so you can get out quick.

This store is run by the rudest people. The employees are LIARS!!! They will ripe off the price tag in front of you and try to make you pay more for the item. When you ask for the Manager they get a female cashier who posses as the manager and tell you a whole lot of nonsense. The real manager is a man name Frank. But he’s just as rude, called me a liar to my face. I asked for a corporate number he said that what him what did I want. No customer service skills what so ever. I don’t recommend going there at all. The items are not worth it. Since they ripe the price off and try to make you pay more anyways. Might as well buy it for brand new at another store for the same price.

I use to LOVE going to this thrift store! Prices were fair. Unfortunately,It’s not quite like thrifting anymore. Some but not all of their prices are unreasonable for used items. They do have great sales but have to get there early. If not, then all that’s left is the unreasonable priced merchandise.
