After my tire burst on the highway, I took it to them and they forced me to change two tires instead of just one. I agreed because I wanted to get out of Connecticut. However, after they changed it, my tire started to show that the dashboard sensor was missing. I called them to see if they had removed it, but they told me to hold, and he put me on hold for almost ten minutes.

I arrived at Pep Boys at 6:40pm on a Thursday. For some reason I thought they closed at 8pm, but they closed at 7pm. My tires were bad... like if I hit a pebble my car would slide. Those tires were bald, but I had so much stuff to do Friday morning. Nonetheless, they put me tires on along with the standard rotating them etc. We even had good conversation about my son, (and the other car repairs I would need in the immediate future). The wait was fast and effective. I would definitely go back.

Better off going next door to autozone or advanced auto for a new battery. Had me waiting 45 minutes for a 5 minute job. When I asked the guy at the desk how long it'll be he said "they're working on it now". 15 minutes goes by and I see this guy run over to advanced auto and come back with the battery. That whole time they said they were working on it they didn't even have the battery

The staff was wonderful and they fixed my signal lights and wipers without a problem. However, I didn't think the wait was going to be as long as it was . I had an 11 am appointment and my car didn't get done until almost 12:30.

Terrible customer service booked an appointment and was told they could not accommodate me. Very rude and had me waiting up front while they talked to each other for 10 mins without any help. I was eventually told I would have to wait an hour and a half for an overpriced oil change. Save your time and go somewhere else!

They are tires manly. Bought 4cooper tires oil change emissions all in one. Wheel alignment balance tires. 1000 hour and half. Not bad.

I don’t like fixing my car because it’s so costly but I really enjoy having Lou assist me here at this pep boys. He is always very informative and nice! Kindness goes a long way. Life is hard. A lot of the time I’m not in the greatest mood but they are always very kind to me. As long as they are open I come here. Thanks Lou and the rest of the team.

very friendly staff up front at the computer and phone. How ever the man preforming the service was disorganized confused slow Had No Confidence and gave No effort. For an oil change I watched him walk back and forth between all 4 tires several times looking at his phone in between over the course of 21 minutes. Then he finally drained the oil leaving it for 9 minutes after the last drop had dripped out. 7 minutes later he got the nut back on and lowered the car to the ground. it Then Took Another 15 minutes to figure out what filter it needs. . I am DEEPLY EMBARRASSED FOR HIM IN EVERY SENSE. this Absurdly Painful experience could be caused me subliminal TRaumaTerrible place. this is Literally the first time in my life i have felt anger and im almost 40 it is a HORRENDOUS act of the se people to create Anger out of Nothing

DENNIS and his “customer service team” are extremely rude and tell customers to go to other mechanic shops if they don’t like their horrible service. They overcharge and will not fix your car correctly or in a time sensitive manner. My car left with more issues than was originally the case and they refused to fix the problems they caused.

Terrible service..mechanics spend their time on the phone instead of working on cars! Took well over an hour for a simple oil change that can be done in under 15 minutes!Find somewhere else unless this place can do better!

Quoted at 30 for a oil change ended up spending 90 at checkout, to make it better my car was dropped off at 11:20 and its scheduled to be out by 3? Oil changes dont take not even 15 minutes on a proffesional hand. I will not return here or recommend anyone to come. Guys are talking in the garage more often that they are working so they can charge you for labor.

Don’t go here. Had an appointment to have my tires swapped over. It took them nearly 3 hours to perform the job. The “service advisor” clearly just wanted to get out of there at the end of his day which was made apparent when he handed me my keys and hopped in his car to leave. My tires were not set to the correct pressure even though it’s on the door of my car and they should have pulled the specification up on the mounting/balancing machine. Car was never aligned even though they claim they do it on all vehicles as a “complimentary” service, this was something I also requested during my appointment process. I did not get what I asked for which should have been the bare minimum.

I don’t know how warranty companies have contract with this place when they don’t know anything about what they are doing. I took my car for a humming sound and told them that I thought it was the wheel bearings. They said they were fine and that I needed a new battery and rear brake pads. I took it to a mechanic and yes I was right. It’s a shame that a female with no certification in mechanic knows more than this people. I could have had my wheel bearings covered by my warranty, but thanks to them I had to pay out of pocket. I will never ever go back or recommend this place to anyone. The only good thing about it was the employee that took my information, she was very nice. Other than that nothing else good about it. The manager even told me that it was possible that my transmission was going bad. It’s ridiculous! and I had to pay for a diagnose of a battery that is working and break pads that are not giving me any problems at all. Be aware.

Gentleman I had who serviced my vehicle gave me ALL star friendly service. I was in and out. Came in for a new Battery for my 2015 Chevy Silverado. They checked my battery in realtime showed me how weak it actually was. I'm grateful for the care and attention they took for my vehicle.

I would give -100 stars if I could. 10 am appointment. I had a nail in my tire, needed to be replaced, I decided to have all the tires replaced. FOUR AND A HALF HOURS later I finally asked for an update on how much longer it would be and he tells me another hour. Five and a half hours to change four tires. If I worked here I would be embarrassed. We could literally hear the employees screaming and fighting with each other behind the door. I understand being busy and I can be patient, but stop scheduling people when you cannot service them. It should have taken maybe 1-2 hours for 4 new tires. My entire day was gone. Absolutely horrific service. I still cannot believe it, I will never go back, I encourage no one to go here. I was not the only one waiting hours and hours. The company needs to stop lying to people about wait times, stop telling people you can “squeeze them in” when you literally just cant. I understand places are low on staff but just be honest. I would have went somewhere else. Awful, 10/10 DO NOT recommend.

*CAUTION IF YOU ARE GETTING YOUR TIRES DONE*Guy who helped me on the desk was very friendly and helpful. Work was done in the timeframe they had estimated… I have a warning for all tire center customers below;Be sure to check your tire pressure and get your lug nut torque checked somewhere reliable, or buy a torque wrench. They over torqued my tires to almost double the required amount on all 4 tires which is dangerous and can cause a tire to go flying out if the studs weaken from overstretching throughout time. They also did not inflate the tires to an appropriate psi. I documented this via video recording right after I picked up my car in the pepboys parking lot. I had to spend almost an hour extra making sure every single lug nut was torqued to spec with a calibrated digital torque wrench and later deflated my tires since they were almost all too high.

I swore to myself about 2 years ago I would never step foot in the Waterbury pep boys again after I went to pick up an on-line order and had a rude older gentleman go off on me saying they didn't the item in stock even though it showed they did on-line. Was on my way home from work today and really needed something. O'Reilly and Advanced Auto didn't have, so Pep Boys was next in line along the way. I was unaware the retail part of the store was another company called Auto Plus that is no longer there. All of the isles were blocked so I asked another older gentleman at the service counter, and he was straight up yelling at me. I HAVE PTSD!!! Even after his rude explanation, I said ok and was trying to leave, but he kept yelling!!!! He saw my reaction, and started laughing!!!! I left 20 mins ago and I'm still shaking trying to control myself. I'm definitely suing!!!!! This is the second time I simply asked a question, and damn near got cussed out!!!!!

Don't waste your time or money here. This place is an absolute joke. Let me begin by saying Im not one to write reviews but this place needs to noticed for their lack of knowledge and desire to rip you off. The techs at this particular pep boys are far from techs. You're better off trusting that guy who " knows someone who can do it for cheaper " which speaks for itself. I'd gladly name each employee by name so you could honestly avoid these people but for the sack of being kind ill leave their names out of it. I recommened going to a totally different Pep boys to save yourself from all the stress I've gone through since I brought my car here. Document and take pictures of your car prior to bringing it in because they cause damage and instead of owning up to a mistake they'll say " You can't prove it " this place is toxic and not worth the headache. They will charge you for things without concent, and will even charge you a diagnostic fee regardless if you told them what was wrong from the beginning. I honestly don't understand how some of these employees even work in an industry which they clearly don't have enough knowledge about. Go to a REAL technician. It will be worth spending a tiny bit more. Not only will you know it will get done properly but they actually honor their work unlike this place. Their warranty is a scam. They don't honor their work, they play games like children resulting in multiple calls to corporate and having it brought to a different pep boys anyways.
