They have great managers and wonderful staff. Always greeting customers, offering to help, and definitely service with a smile. They take exchanges with receipt and exchange your purchased items with no problem or return whatever your preferred payment was at time of purchase. I love that it's close and it's great quick shop spot to get nessessities, food or toiletries and can't beat the prices. Special thanks to the polite and friendly staff for making my shopping quick, convenient, and affordable. I always leave happy thanks.

This is worst store in waterbury. The worker lady is most rudest person in waterbury.. Store is always dirty and cluttered mess. Worst customer service. Worst employees. If i could give one star i would..Disgusting employees..... disgusting store....Lol they family like mother like daughter..apple don't fall far from treee

I am always at Dollar general they have a great weekend sale as well as a great selection of product that you can get for a cheaper price than the big named grocery store and the employees are very welcoming and they know just about everything that the store has and that's pretty good for a customer because all they have to do is just ask the employees if they have a certain product and the employee can just say what isle it's on instead of the customer running around like crazy to just look for one item and waste a lot of time.... when you go to the big grocery store and ask what isle is something like eggs on half of the staff plays the guessing game and makes you go all over the place so I can honestly say that I have a better time shopping at Dollar general than a big grocery store

A lot of things but not organized, a few empty spaces, only 1 employee (cashier). A few boxes on the way and stairs blocks the area's but no employee around.It's a great store and good quality products but needs cleaning all around, and organization.

Very rude n disrespectful little girl managing tonight . I will never shop at this cherry st. dollar gen again. Never saw this smart mouthed kid here before. Awful experience. I left trembling with fear. Done with this store. It's a shame cause it's right next to my home.

The younger woman was EXTREMELY!! RUDE!! TO ME BECAUSE I ASKED HER A SIMPLE QUESTION. Very un-professional, and couldn't believe just how MEAN she was. Please don't go to store!!! Also this my first 1⭐(star) review ever....

I love the employees their all very nice and welcoming this location is always stocked always busy with great team work to make sure all costumers needs are met and satisfied I'm always leaving the store happy thank you

Used to like this store until I started couponing. They take off coupons before the $5 off $25 so you don't reach the $25. I asked what sub total was to make sure before I put number in and it was over $25 but once number went in they deducted coupons before the $5 off $25. I don't know why but that's how they do it they told me. Never seen that before. Young lady was aggravated because she was there since 7:30 and because I was couponing and asked a question she got more visibly Aggravated. I won't be going here again. If they don't like couponers they shouldn't offer coupons!!!

I am always greeted by Deb whenever I go to the Dollar General! In a section of Waterbury that doesn't appear to be too promising, it great to at least have a store that is not a bodega. There have been plenty of times that I've needed something that I forgot while out and about, and that's where this store comes in at for me. They have everything from grocery, to over the counter medications. They accept EBT payments as well.

It's become my go to store for basic necessities. I rather shop at Dollar General vs neighborhood(Key Foods) grocery store. The staff is also friendly and helpful.

My fiance and I were just shopping at the Cherry St location. Upon arriving at the register the employees behind the counter accused us of stealing a belt and reading glasses. We were harassed and will be pressing charges against the 2 women and 1 gentleman all of which refused to give us their names. Also a report with the Better Business Bureau has been filed against this store so this kind of disgusting profiling won't happen again.

I love this location. As a weekly shopper in Naugatuck Valley, I find this location to have the best staff. Store's always clean and lines are never long.

No shopping carts but the assistant manager was very helpful and my cashier was extremely friendly! Nice staff although the location is horrible. I will be back :)

The prices are always reasonable, n you save alot,n the staff was friendly except the cashier wouldn't let me go for a penny lol otherwise service was fine,

ghetto!! always a mess employees on their phone talking on 🔊 (EVERYONE CAN HEAR THERE PHONE CONVERSATION)while checking you out. SMH so unprofessional but what to expect. If that's allowed maybe they need to change management because obviously it's not working.

Area is in a bad section but the new store is clean & stocked. I was nicely greeted when i entered however the store is new so its exactly what i expect....hope it continues

Cashiers are terrible having a conversation between themselves while there is about a dozen people in line.. why does waterbury dollar general have 12 year olds working there.. talking about how much trouble they could get in
