I haven’t shopped much in this Walmart, let alone any Walmart for 15 years but I must say this place has improved remarkably. When I was growing up this store was a great 90s Walmart. Maybe 15 years ago this store got an abysmal brown renovation on the exterior and the interior was updated but got crummy fast. I can remember trash in the isles and shelves, dirty floors, most shelves scuffed and unkept, bad products and to top it off rude staff. Now it’s clean, bright, the products are much better and they even play 80s/90s music. So much more fun. Can’t believe I can say it’s fun to go to Walmart. The staff are also kind and happy the help. It’s like an better alternate universe. I am so happy. I’ll be shopping here more often. Only three things need to be brought back, a bouncy ball machine, a better restaurant than Subway and of course the aquariums!Also Brian the floor cleaning octopus with a receding hairline is exactly the whimsical fun I want to see at a Walmart! Keep him around!

I’ve come to this Walmart my entire life and have never once had an issue until the last year. Every single time I come here with my boyfriend, we are stopped at the exit to have our receipt checked. Okay cool. That’s fine. However what’s not okay is the fact that’s it’s always only us. Large groups will go in and out unchecked before and after us. We come at different times of the day and still are the only people singled out. If you think we’re stealing then by all means just say that. The employees will purposely move to watch us check out and even when they literally help us check out, we still get stopped. I don’t know what the problem is but it’s awful to be stared at by other customers acting like we did something wrong.

Don't like the self check out ...do to the fact I have too save my paper receipts...just watch the news if your wondering why I save my walmart receipts after using the self check out...and self check takes away jobs. 5 stars just because....but 0 stars for slowly killing the economy,with self check out.

Good prices in elevated times. Four stars for not offering tap and go on all cards. I'll still go as the prices on some food items are better priced at Walmart than the chain grocery stores.

I just watched your employee who does the carts take the market 32 cart out of the cart area and put it next to a elderly persons car!? So then the elderly women had to remove it from the side of her carbin order to get in. Sad & Lazy. Inside I had a issue finding a employee or one that's not on their phone that could actual help me. Took 20 mins! Finally found one and I asked if I could get a perfume to which I was told that I needed another employee to get it out. Okay, can you get someone? Reluctantly she called someone. I was told to wait by the case. Now I understand why they are locked up and assumed it would be to prevent theft and that the employee would bring it to the register. I thought wrong. After about 15 mins this employee came and then struggled to figure out the case to then just gave me the perfume!? I said to the employee it's been almost 40 mins since I wanted to buy this and I've searched and waited all this time so you could just hand it to me!? The employee did not understand my point nor did I want to waste anymore time. I then went to the register and got in line and put my items on the belt. Then 5 mins later after finishing that to be told by the cashier they are going on break and to move my things to the next register they will help. I loaded all my things back in the cart and moved down to the next register to then be met with anger. I said I was told to move here? No I'm not open. I said okay? To where at that point a manager seeing the lines are back up told me to move back to my now orginal register!!!! I had it at this point. What a ridiculous experience at a store.

I was so pleasantly surprised tonight when the store manager discounted a purchase I was making because the store display had an incorrect price. The Christmas spirit is definitely alive and well at the Torrington Walmart. I will drive a bit out of my way to shop here!

Walmarts are always the same to me except this one. For one specific reason. About a year ago my husband and I moved to town. We have been to Walmart for various reasons. Almost every single time their loss prevention department has very obviously followed myself and my husband around. One time it was so painfully obvious and uncomfortable, I even told the gentleman that he wasn’t inconspicuous, told him I wasn’t stealing anything and asked him if I showed him my ID would he just leave me alone. Their theft prevention people are making the wrong judgement call. Honestly the only reason I think they do this is cause my husband has a lot of tattoos and big, stretched ears. That’s really the only thing that is remarkable about either one of us. Makes him feel super self conscious like he looks like a criminal. Especially when we are browsing in the children’s bedding area? My husband is currently texting me from Walmart at this instant complaining that he’s being followed around yet again. Nothing we can do can prevent people from judging us based on our appearances but I can tell you my husband specializes in loss prevention and he himself has witnessed theft in your store from other regular looking people and shows me what to look out for. So while you’re stalking my husband and I , your valuable merchandise is being swiped all around you. If you’d like some assistance protecting your stock I’m sure my husband would love to help. His same is Dennis. He’s never stolen a thing in his life. He’s a loving husband and father. I’m sure you can find him easily as you always have. He’s the one with the big holes in his ears. Have a nice day Walmart. You keep cracking down on crime. Lol

Never seen so much racism at this store and the checking receipts thing is a joke. The woman who was checking receipts was stopping people from leaving, literally stopped my cart and demanded my receipt. Like wow you just watched me scan and pay such a shame.

Not the worst Walmart in the world, it stays fairly clean and organized. Employees suck for the most part so don't bother.

Everything is here! Video games, customizable paints, stationery, drones, vitamins, cosmetics, car batteries, clothing... Friendly, helpful staff. Prices decent. Photographs printed from kiosks accepting various storage mediums (thumb drives, CD/DVD-ROMs, smartphones). Ten self check-out counters, with an attendant present to troubleshoot any issues. Sizable parking lot in front.

It's Walmart, what's not to like about it. It's not a super Walmart. But they do have a big selection of food, both in the coolers and along the shelves. The stores always clean, and the employees are always helpful locating stuff for you.

Store manager was glaring at me whilst he walked past the other day during my shopping. It made me feel incredibly unwelcome. All I was simply doing was looking at their Command Hook display. The fact that the store manager himself was giving me a dirty look is disturbing to say the least.

When I go to view my order it says that 1 item is unavailable and asks if I want it shipped. It said available when I placed the order and I did pickup because I specifically did not want to wait for shipping so why did it let me purchase it for pickup if it wasn’t available for pickup?

It was clean, bright, well stocked, the cashier we had was super pleasant. The store seemed larger than most. I enjoyed mosying around. They had my Great Value creamer, but not my Great Value coffee in the box of 96. I wish it were closer.

Typical Walmart. Smaller than most others I've visited. Decent grocery section, no deli, meat, or produce. The store feels like it has a bit of a strange layout. Very dated.

Walmart is one-stop shopping. This time I was there for the pharmacy. I did have to wait for one of the medications. But that seems quite normal with all pharmacies. Though The Thing that keeps them a step above the rest is the fact that they sent text messages regularly. To let me know when prescription was ready. This was at the Torrington Connecticut Walmart.

I recently shopped at Walmart and overall, I had a good experience. The store was well-organized and clean, and the prices were competitive. The selection of products was impressive and I was able to find everything that I needed. The checkout process was also quick and efficient. The only downside was that some of the staff members were not very friendly, but that did not ruin my experience. Overall, I would give Walmart 4 out of 5 stars.

My experience at this Walmart was extremely noteworthy. An unbelievably kind attendant operating the register system went out of her way to create an exceptional customer experience. Her name was Gris and she deserves recognition for her efforts. This Walmart is a solid place to shop thanks to Gris. Also mike was helpful please give them both mention!

Love shopping on line ad in store at Walmart they have most of what you need at at least a better price then other places. However as an elderly person it is hard for me to check myself out and they do not have hardly any cashiers. Just makes me angry. We should get a discount if we check ourselves out.

Shop there all the time. I would say avoid the 1st-6th though... way way too busy and long lines. Unless of course you want to see the parody of only at wallmart in real life also..lol

Good prices, quality items, plenty parking space, I just wish they have a deli and fresh vegetables like other Walmarts. Service is good so far.
