I will never go back to that store, the carts are dirty and in one of the aisles that I walked down, I didn't see it there was a bucket of water and the ceiling tile was messing and there was no caution sign

Its a great little store in a very convenient location and most of the staff is friendly. My biggest complaints are that they're under-staffed so it takes FOREVER to actually get out of there even if you're only getting one item. Its definitely not a quick in and out store because of this. Also, I know this is pretty but I do feel like they could definitely do a better job cleaning the place, that they should kick out the people that shoplift, and that they desperately need to do something about the loitering because that's REALLY out of hand.

I usually shop here for random things like medications, drinks, household items. I've always found what I need is always in stock. The only thing that could be better is there almost always boxes in the isles making it hard to get through especially when I'm pushing a stroller. They are definitely understaffed which I know is the biggest reason for this as workers can only do so much if there are only 2 people. The workers are always helpful and friendly. Which makes going there a great experience.

Perfect place to bring my young daughter to get crafting materials. She loves the candy deals as well. The store is clean, and the employees are very friendly and helpful.

Prices are much, much better when compared to larger zupermarket chains. My complaint: Very cramped isles- you have to literally hug the merchandise when allowing others to pass by- especially if they have a carriage. I only spoke with one employee which was when i checked out- as far as customer service went ( this visit/store) I was treated in a professional and courteous manner.

The cash register are always down. the cashier asks if you're going to pay with cash or card you say card then. you sit in line for 10 minutes while they're trying to have one customer for 10 minutes. Then you finally get to ring out and then the cashier tells you oh we can't take card if you take take cards. then either you should put a sign up or fix the problem. This place has been nothing but problems they need to fire all the coworkers and get new ones that actually want to work. It shouldn't take you 10 minutes to ring out one person. And half the time there's never even a cashier up there don't like in the back doing stock or something it shouldn't take a genius to work at a dollar store management really needs to straighten this place out if it's ever going to be shoppable again

Shelves not stocked, employees trying to check out customers as well as attempt to stock shelves. Employees are friendly. If a customer can't locate an item, if employees checking out customers they are unable to help a customer find an item. They will tell you where to look, unless an employee is stocking shelves, then they are more than glad to assist the customer.

A lot of item's to buy and great prices too. But the store looks dirty and every item on the shelves were packed in, so when you grab something another item or 3 fall's to the ground. And the staff can be really slow.

Deducted a star because the aisles are always too crowded with stock yet to be put on the shelves to walk comfortably. I can understand being busy and occasionally having it out but it's every time I visit this store.

The store is pretty clean and we'll stocked. The staff isn't rude but, they don't seem to interested in helping the customers either, most of the time they are either gossiping with each other, or just nowhere to be found.

I like the low prices on certain items. I have learned to check expiration dates though. They do sell food items that are expired sometimes. The store is quite cramped and crowded, too much stuff for the size of the store. My favorite things to buy here are cheap seasonal doodads and decorations.

So I went in for a toaster oven they only had one and it was open. Clearanced to $10 my father picked up a few things and my PayPal and other methods got declined so the manager was willing to work with me for incriments, got most of it done and then it wouldn't work anymore, I go back in for the toaster about 5 minutes later and they rebooted the system and it took my card. The manager is so patient and polite I don't know how she keeps her cool but I give her and the store 5 stars for this!

I don't get how this store is growing, its a complete mess. the merchandise is penny trash for china , most of it will break before you get it out of the package. the brand name merchandise is cheaper at MOST other stores, the smaller packages are a rip off for half the amount.

This DG is trying to do the best they can with the space they have, but the store was a mess and we had a hard time finding what we were looking for. I'd much rather spend the extra 15 minutes driving to a cleaner location.

Great prices although not everything is 1$ as one would expect of a dollar store. Cashiers are generally very few an far between so the checkout process can be time consuming but otherwise overall great store with wide selection.

Dollar General has really great prices and gray products. Such as toys, batteries, hair color, all kinds of soaps, make up and especially art supplies. Love Love Love DG

There are two Dollar General's in Torrington, CT. This one everyone flocks to, the other on Winsted Rd is a store by itself, some of the employees are rude to customers, and they let certain people steal.. BEWARE of the BALD HEADED DUDE in DG Store downtown he lets certain people take from the store, and will blame someone else!!! There is also female who swears in front of little kids as well.. They need to weed out the bad apples that work there because that is why they only got an OK, the other DG Store on Winsted Rd, 5⭐'s!!!! Awesome People as well!! I TELL PEOPLE TO GO THERE!!!

It is what it is, and you certainly get what you pay for. Be very careful as there are often items misplaced, and you might end up paying $11 for something on a $3 Shelf... But if you're paying attention the prices are good for what you get
