We’ve been taking our dogs to this groomer as long as they’ve been in business, and wouldn’t take them anywhere else. We moved about 35-40 minutes away in 2018 and still take the dogs here and have taken our cat too! We rescue animals that are seniors or have extra medical needs, and we are so thankful that The Paw Pad is attentive to their needs and has extraordinary communication. I usually take the dogs to a nearby park after their visit, and they are always so happy. Thanks Paw Pad!

I can’t remember if I had already posted my review but oh well, they can have another one. I will forever give Michelle and the girls at The Paw Pad My business. They do an exceptional job and always make you feel like family and not just a client. My pups have always been welcomed and enjoy their visits; especially with Denise. Cannot beat their level of professionalism and price point. They have a forever client here!

I brought my pomsky to The Paw Pad today and it was a life changing experience. They had a super long wait-list but the reviews said it was worth it and it was! When they asked what I wanted I told them I wanted him sheered like a sheep. He's a fuzzy little pup and he gets super hot in the summer. They laughed but they understood the assignment. I've had him groomed at Petco before and while it was okay it did not match the level of professionalism and service of the Paw Pad. They did such an amazing job on his nails and they gave him a really thorough haircut. It wasn't remotely choppy which is a miracle because he is super excitable. I cannot thank them enough.

Both my grandpups go to Paw Pad for everything from nails to baths to brush outs . Michelle, Liz and the staff treat Emmet and Harley like family. The dogs are so relaxed and happy when they go in and come out. We are so thankful to have The Paw pad in town . Great service and prices

This is the only place that can safely cut and file my puppy's nails- the vet couldn't even do it! My pup didn't scream or fight once, and it only took a few minutes. My older, arthritic dog got a full groom with teeth cleaning, and they did a beautiful job. The pricing is very fair. It was actually less than I anticipated. We will be coming back here for as long as we live in the region. Thank you Paw Pad!

The Paw Pad is amazing. My chocolate lab Marlee was always bathed by myself for about the first year of her life. It came to the point where she was just too much for a non professional bather to handle. I was always super nervous about sending my dog to a groomer because of all the crazy videos you see on social media. When Marlee and I first walked in it felt like home, super welcoming and the staff greeted us with a smile. They were patient with my at the time 1 year old puppy going wild in their waiting room while I was filling out paper work.Her first groom went well and the Paw Pad exceeded my expectations. Sadly my puppy had an allergic reaction to the soap that was used. When I called to notify the staff they offered to give a medicated bath at no charge to treated her skin from the reaction, and they reimbursed us the vet bill. They got her in that same day!The Paw Pad is the best place to bring your pet to get groomed. They have always gone above and beyond for my Marlee, and she loves going! Today she will go for her second groom there and I know they're going to send her home looking and feeling great as always.Don't let the media scare you, the staff at the Paw Pad will give you every reason to let them care for your pet! Totally dissatisfied with the outcome from the paw pad, second time using them. We asked for a basic haircut for our dog , very specific on what we wanted!! When we arrived to pick up the pup we were surprised, and disappointed. Not what we asked for! We then kindly expressed to the employee that we did not ask for this grooming so she brought the owner outside who was very ornery, very disrespectful and not even willing to fix the dogs haircut. I do not recommend paying good money to get your pet groomed at this establishment.

I love the Paw Pad, but, more importantly, so do my boys! Michelle is great with my OCD German Shepard, and all the rest of the staff are are friendly and fabulous with my pups! Highly recommend The Paw Pad

Our dog was able to get a shampoo & nail trim on short notice before the Holidays . Everyone so friendly & they did a great job; she looked beautiful with her neckerchief on.The Paw Pad gave us a nice magnet with her photo on it & a goody bag. Looking forward to using their service again!

My sister and I both take our dogs here. Mine is dog reactive, one of hers is not great with new humans and the other is super nervous. But they all LOVE the Paw Pad!! The staff here are all so sweet, my dog gets excited as we arrive and she runs up to the door, tail wagging. They must be doing something right in there! My pup has always been easy to bathe / groom but she has not always reacted to a groomer like this! I recommend that if you have a dog with some reactivity, wait in your car and call to let them know you’re there waiting - or go up to the door alone to notify them. Simple.

The groomers here are great. Our special friend is Denise. They treat my little one with respect and love. I never have to worry that she might not be safe. She comes home looking like the little Princess she thinks she is. Highly recommended.

I'm really disappointed with The Paw Pad, and I'm surprised by my experience after reading so many stellar reviews. About a month ago, I reached out to the salon via Facebook Messenger and inquired about a deshedding service for two of my dogs. I was clear that one of my dogs is reactive to other dogs, and I asked if the space supported private grooming for dogs like her. The salon responded promptly that they received my message and would get back to me the next day. The salon called me the next morning and assured me that they would be able to accommodate my reactive dog and scheduled our appointment for first thing the morning of August 12. When we arrived the morning of August 12, there were other people and dogs waiting, but I didn't think anything of it. I went to check in and was told that they didn't have my appointment in their system. I reminded the owner of the message that we had via Messenger, and she let me know that while my dogs were in the system, they had no active appointments for them and there must've been a glitch in their scheduling system. Things like that happen all the time, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked if I could reschedule. They agreed and said I should come first thing the morning of the 19th. I reminded them that I have a reactive dog, and they assured me once again that they would be able to accommodate her. Finally, we get to August 19th. I show up at opening around 8:30am. When I arrive, the parking lot is filled with cars, people, and dogs - there were about 6-8 dogs waiting in line and my reactive dog immediately started spiraling. I couldn't even get to the door, so I just left. What's disappointing to me is that I was overly communicative about my dog being reactive and was assured multiple times that everything would be okay. I would have rather the salon told me that they wouldn't be able to accommodate my dog. At least I would have saved myself TWO 1-hour-roundtrip drives.

I have a high energy Golden Doodle named Rudy who absolutely loves this place. Michelle and the staff have a true understanding of dogs. I love leaving him and knowing he is in good hands. I love his grooming every visit.

Just took my Maltese and Cairn Terrier mix for wash and trims. They look so cute, they did a great job trimming their faces. Both of them seem very happy and comfortable there. The staff is friendly and helpful and made sure to ask questions to get the right treatment for my dogs. The price was very reasonable and I like using such a great local business in Thomaston!

Really amazing experience at Paw Pad. My dog has always been super challenging when getting her nails clipped and they were so patient and understanding. They also gave her a little treat bag for her first time there. Highly recommend!!

I have had Old English Sheepdogs for years now. After going to one place for years the owner became ill. She left the grooming to her employee who was not reliable. I then switch to Annie's in Torrington were I met Michele. She groomed both of my old English sheep dogs and did a fantastic job! After taking over the role of running Annie's the owner came back and let Michele go! To my disbelief as Michele had run her business very well in her absence. I was very happy to hear Michele had open her own grooming shop. She is fantastic with my dogs and does a amazing job!! It is well worth the drive down.

Had no problem with Patty. Came out a happy dog just as happy whenever went in to clip her nails. She gets extremely upset and difficult when it comes to clip her nails. Paw Pad had no problems with her. 🐕‍

Very caring owner and staff. They take the time to get to know your dog before attempting to take them into the grooming area or pick them up. They even have grain-free treats!!

Absolute best place to go, always quick to get an appointment(most of the time same day), staff is super friendly. They treat Peanut as if she is one of their own and she loves going.
