Now that I've discovered this place I go at least once a week even if it's just for ice coffee which is so good I don't even need sugar and that's saying a lot for me. We've tried everything from the fresh ravioli to the take-home sauces. We always have to grab a container of garlic dressing, which lays us all week. The pastries are also out of this world, especially the cinnamon sticks. If your over that way it's a stop you have to make.

Went in there with my 4 not-quite-the-calmest boys, and the woman behind the counter was so very kind and helpful! We got a selection of different yummy goods, including a massive peanut butter brownie thing that was to die for (myself!), and everything was top notch delicious! They also have all sorts of breads and pizza and dry pasta and other various Italian goodies! Definitely stop in if you want something tasty and lovely service!

Our go to for breakfast sandwiches, Italian food and deserts. Fresh local ingredients stand out, the employees are friendly and passionate about serving you good food. The jalapeno cheddar bagels are the best. All of the sandwiches I have tried have been excellent my fav is the chicken parm (fresh mozzarella next level). Sometimes they give away freebies was lucky to get a pumpkin pie which was amazing. Much better than what you get at super markets.

I ordered 10 cookies which came to $15+ so that’s my first issue. They weren’t big or special, just 10 regular cookies. The pistachio cookies didn’t taste like pistachio and they were overcooked and stale. The other flavors were okay, but nothing special and definitely not worth over a dollar each. The girl was nice and the place was cute inside. That’s why I gave it two stars instead of one.

We absolutely loved La Stella! My mom is here from the west coast on vacation so I am scoping out places I haven't tried yet. From the older reviews on Craftsman Cliff Roasters, we thought they were still serving coffee so we showed up for a cup of joe. Oops! They no longer serve coffee, but were so sweet to point us in the direction of La Stella. It is an incredibly charming shop. My mom got an iced latté mocha and a slice of lemon raspberry cheesecake, my son got a dark roast coffee with a shot of espresso and a croissant, and I decided on a hazelnut latte and a couple of pizzicati. Everything was excellent! The coffee is really flavorful (and strong enough for my taste 😁) and the drinks were made well. The baked goods were tasty and the case has an excellent selection. The ladies behind the counter provided the best customer service. On top of everything, the prices are really good. My large flavored latté and three little pastries was only seven and change. Great value!!

Always good quality, a little pricey, but I don't mind that as I really like the fact they help feed the local community with specials and the free table outside. There's a small deli with prepared meals ready to take home and heat up, and of course, pizza. The pastries are all excellent, and the variety can be a bit overwhelming, but it is worth the visit just for those.

Today, Feb 14th was special despite unexpected experience. My husband brought me to this place again. We liked the meals and desserts. I like their soup.It feels like we are in Italy because of their food. Tortellini soup is my favorite. Today is the 3rd time I ordered this soup, and Kale was the missing ingredient. We reached out to the female staff who served us the soup but they denied the ingredient because they thought there is no kale. We explained that the name of the soup itself has Kale in it. Nonetheless, the female cashier lady (long curly hair) came to us and apologized for the missed ingredient. I commend her humble spirit. She was very kind. I think today they are understaff. The line of customers must be overwhelming. Management should add even 1 more staff to help the cashier navigate thru serving back and forth to dine in customers. This cashier lady even offered us a free complimentary small serving dessert which was very nice of her. At first, we were disappointed but this cashier lady showed us this humbling experience. I hope next time they wont forget kale in that tortellini soup. Love and Peace! ❤️

The bread and other baked goods here were incredible and maybe the best we've had in Connecticut. The breakfast sandwiches were excellent as well and, if we'd had more time, we'd likely also have shopped their shelves a bit. The folks inside were really friendly and hospitable too. Can't wait to come back!

We shared a bounty of delicious pies, cupcakes, cannolis, Italian cookies and breads from La Stella’s with family at Thanksgiving. Every last bite was exceptional. They even went to the trouble of confirming a few order details a few days before to ensure “everything was perfect for us”. And when I picked up our order, I was so impressed that I picked up some premade Italian food…equally delicious. Highly recommend!

Very impressed!! We’ve been for breakfast and lunch - both delicious. Lunch was my favorite, their subs are delicious! Not pricey either which was great. We also had the antipasto which was delicious.We’ll be back to try the take-home pasta and sauces that they sell too.

Well it was late saturday my wife and i took a ride to La Sella.We picked several cookies 1 slice of berry cake , just trying out the taste of there goods. Well after going home sitting down and sharing the sweets we will be going back for more. The owner even gave us a few samples to try. The fresh berry cake was great from the first bite. I wish i knew about them sooner , our new go to spot for Itailian sweets. Thanks for being so nice to my wife, being in a wheelchair some places are not.See you soon!

I went today with a coworker. We are both retired. He came to visit me and I said I got just a spot for you. He had the chicken cutlet humongous. He loved it and I had the pepperoni and spinach medium size pizza. Awesome love their sauce I can't wait to go there on Tuesday with my high school buddy to try the breakfast. Awesome vibe awesome atmosphere. Awesome staff great place all around.

I love this place. The chocolate cake is my favorite and worth the drive from anywhere. The kids loved the thick sheet pizza slices. The fresh pasta is amazing, and the breakfast sandwiches are great!

Friendly counter staff and delicious food. This is one of my regular spots for breakfast sandwiches and tasty baked goods. Italian influences are notable on the menu and often provide a nice elevation to otherwise ordinary items. All food is fresh and made with quality ingredients. Great spot for breakfast, lunch, coffee, and bakery items. Peach muffins are one of my favorites from the bakery, but there is a great selection of fresh bread, pastries, and cakes.

We definitely recommend La Stella's Bakery! The food is always excellent and it smells amazing as soon as you walk in. The coffee is great as well and they do have sugar free syrups available. Thank you La Stella for always providing excellent food and excellent service!

Today I was trying to find cupcakes and we went to a couple grocery stores with bakeries beforehand, and they just wouldn't do. I decided to head to my favorite bagel place, the sister store to my favorite pizza place La Stella Pasta & Pastry. They didn't have regular cupcakes on display and on a whim I decided to ask about them. The woman at the counter was so helpful and went back to ask one of the bakers. They said they could whip some up for me in the back if I wanted to wait! The baker even added beautiful flowers to the tops of them. The people here take pride in their work and presentation. It is no wonder they're loved in and around Norwich. Thank you for saving my hide and saving me from having to get mass produced grocery cupcakes for our last minute birthday hosting!I also wanted to point out I thought the cupcakes on display (the same size as these) were the jumbo cupcakes. If I had known they were the regular cupcakes I wouldn't have been so much trouble! You made me feel like I wasn't trouble regardless, and I always leave an incredibly happy customer no matter what I buy.*Your cupcakes and cakes are of the highest quality and less expensive than anywhere we've been.Thank you for being one of the most welcoming, high quality establishments that I've ever been to!

We had to say goodbye to a loved one this week and had to find a place to get together after her service for a bit to eat. Justin and his crew were absolutely amazing! There were 60-70 people in our group and everyone was pleased with the service. Let me tell you, the food was amazing! I'd heard from others and they were right! The portions were huge(I honestly ate carrot cake for days) and delicious. Thanks to everyone there for their kindness!

We used La Stella's for our office party this week and they were amazing through the whole process. From ordering to picking up we couldn't have been more pleased. The sandwiches where phenomenal and they tray of cookies and cannoli's were AMAZING! We highly recommend! We meant to take photos but the food was so good we ate is all before we got the chance.

Thrilled to have had Susie make my daughters cake for her baby shower! She did a great job! It was the hit of our shower! The cake was fluffy and delicious and Susie did not disappoint! Definitely will use them again! Just fantastic, that cake was finished! Thank you so much lastella!!
