We have a difficult dog. He gets very anxious in new situations and can act out when he doesn’t feel comfortable. It’s been very hard for us to find a place to board him where everyone feels comfortable.Scott Kennel is the place. They are so patient with our pup, read and respond to his cues so effectively, and set our minds at ease. Everyone we’ve interacted with there has been absolutely lovely and accommodating. And — bonus — they’re by far the least expensive option we considered!It’s such a relief to know we can go out of town without having to worry about how he’s doing. I can not recommend them highly enough.

I left Mia at Scott’s Kennels while we went on vacation for two weeks. The staff/“girls” are all wonderful! They all seem to love her and each have a unique way of showing it. I received many pics and videos, while away, which showed a happy dog! I picked her up today, after she received a spa treatment. Highly recommend Scott’s!

Scott's kennels had our family dog for 30 days and when we returned for him he looked and acted very well cared for. Calmer even. They gave him a bath on the last day and gave a rundown of his activity and interactions throughout his stay. We have to travel a lot this summer and are very happy to leave our furry family member with them when we must. Prices are great as well!

They got both of our dogs in at the last minute on a Friday and when we came to pick them up Sunday our girls were so happy. I could tell they had had fun during their weekend stay. Also, the workers were very nice and gave us a run down of how the girls did over the weekend.

There is not enough wonderful things that I can about Scott’s Kennels! I switched over to them when my regular kennel was closed due to repairs. I send my dog Ziggy there for daycare and socializing (will be sending his sister there too soon). They are so kind and loving towards him! I struggled a bit with the previous place because they felt he was to rambunctious, and would only let him out by himself without any dogs, because he was just too excited and didn’t know how to stop playing. At Scott’s they worked with him and found him a playmate that he absolutely loves. Every time I go there I just seen nothing but love and that he’s not being treated as a burden. I can’t wait to send his sister there too. They’re just really lovely people who really love animals and you can tell their kindness and enthusiasm for the creatures that they take care of.

Have taken our mini Schnauzers here for years to board when we travel from a long weekend to as many as 18 days. They are always clean and happy. Staff and owner are great and accommodating. They offer playtime and walks.

The care that our dogs received at Scott's has been absolute top notch!! You can tell that all of the employees are really "animal people" and truly care about your pets! When my dog got a bit of tummy upset, Scott's knew to give her a little rice with her food, without me even having to ask for it. They texted us pictures of the dogs having fun during their stay and have not stopped gushing about how much they like our big babies. We will definitely be back and will recommend Scott's to everyone!!

Staff is very nice. Dogs seemed fine. They were only there a few hours one day. We knew we couldn't take the dogs on the USS NAUTILUS and their location is very convenient for visiting Mystic, Stonington,& Groton.

Scott's is one of the best kennels we've come across. We're military and recently moved back to the area. They've taken our dog Riley numerous times, and it's the only kennel I've ever seen her willing enter without pulling on the leash, and her tail is always wagging. They were a HUGE help when we planned a last minute ski trip right after Christmas. When I initially called to book her a spot, they were completely booked, so I called another place. Well, that place didn't open till 3pm on the day we were leaving, and that was much too late as we needed to be on the road by 9am. We called Scotts Kennels in the hopes someone had cancelled last minute, and they fit her in for the week. We are SO grateful to them for not only helping us then, but for always being so good to our girl. Their prices are great, and she always comes home freshly bathed and happy. This will be the only kennel/groomer we use for our pup, and we highly recommend it!

Scott's takes excellent care of my Penny. She seems almost healthier for having been there for a week. Service is great. I pay $20/day +$8/day for group walks. They wash her and clip her nails before I pick her up (for a small fee). I have used other kennels in the area, but Scott's is my go to right now.

We are dropping off our dog tomorrow for a two week vacation. When we pick here up she doesn't want to leave and get in the car. She is well cared for and she always enjoys her vacation. This is a great boarding kennel.

We've been bringing our dog Louie to Scott's for years, twice a week for play group and for boarding and grooming. While the place is immaculate and the prices are reasonable, the best thing about Scott's is the people. It's obvious every day that each person genuinely cares about the pets. They are always professional and friendly. We feel privileged to have such a wonderful place to trust our dog to.

The best staff by far, of any kennel/ groomers around this area. They go above and beyond for your animals. Our dog had to stay with them for a couple of months due to an untimely move. It was very unexpected. He wasnt even a year yet and we were having trouble finding a good dog food for him. He is an extremely large dog but had a very sensitive stomach. The owner of Scott's Kennel made special dog food for him. He allowed us to bring him whatever we wanted. I wont go anywhere else.

This place is very affordable! The owner and staff was great with my dog, which was remarkable because he doesn't always get along with everyone, so I get very nervous around new faces. He is 8 years old and has never spent the night away from us ever so i was yet again even more nervous, but to my surprise he did great! He must have had a blast with these workers because he was so tired when we got him home :) I am so happy we decided to board him for the night its a great experience!

Have used them for 2 weekends this summer. Affordable rates, great staff, and they take great care of my Boston Terrier! We intend to use them whenever we can't take him with us. They offer walks and play groups while your dog stays with them and also have grooming services. Very happy customer here.

I have kenneled my three dogs here many times. They are always well cared for. The owner remembers things that are important to me like when they have been on medication, or if there food has changed and asks questions. He also has a good relationship with the local vets. I feel confident when I leave my dogs that I will return to happy healthy pets.

Scott's Kennels have been caring for my canines for over 15 years. They take excellent care of all the animals there and pay close attention to details concerning special diet instructions.The rates for boarding and grooming services are very reasonable and the facility is very clean and designed to be pet friendly. There is no better place to board your pet in the area.

Love these guys! Affordable, accommodating and very friendly. We have three dogs that stay there anytime we leave town. Special food or diet, no problem. They have lots of clean blankets and plenty of room to run if you so choose. They will also do grooming while they stay. FYI cash or check only.

We just boarded our dog over Christmas and he loved it! Owner and staff are very friendly and you can tell they love dogs. Clean pens with nice runs and play yard. They clean ears and trim nails when they give them a bath. Highly recommend.

The staff was friendly, however that does not count for everything. The place was a little smelly when we walked in, it could have been a little cleaner... we brought our dog for a full groom, so she was to be there for just a few hours. Anyway, we asked her hair to be cut short, although they cut it to the desired length, they did miss several spots and left several rough looking razor lines in her fur that we fixed when we got home. The worst part, they cut her whiskers almost down to nothing! I have brought my dog many time to be groomed elsewhere and they have NEVER cut her whiskers off! She has the type of fur you can comb down on her face to trim, avoiding the whiskers! I doubt I will be returning to this facility. I could do a better job myself.

We were using a kennel in colchester (that we liked) and after talking to my mom she suggested we try Scott's Kennel. My mom has used them a few times and really liked them. I called and after talking to them about my dogs needs (he has seizures) I scheduled a visit for while we were traveling, their price was much more reasonable and budget friendly. My mom had to drop Zeus off because I was ordered into work early. She had no problems dropping him off. We picked him up and received a happy dog who didn't have any seizures and ate all his food during his visit. We will be traveling next month and Zeus will be making the almost 60 one way trip to go back to Scotts Kennel.
