Much better than going to the larger "hardware" stores. This is the only place my husband and I go to when we need supplies. The staff is always extremely friendly. We are very happy with this location and they are typically stocked up with any and everything you would ever need.

(Store is under some remodeling and I understand) Went in to look for a tub and tile refinishing kit. I asked for help, no one knew where it would be. One person walked down one aisle and that was pretty much the extent of the help I received. ZERO effort/service. Oh, but they could manage to talk about their shifts and “how crazy” the remodeling has been. Very dissatisfied and disappointed! Would never go back here again.

When we moved into our first house this summer, there were many things on our to do list. I made numerous trip to Rocky’s. Each and every time the staff went above and beyond my expectations. The store manager, Rich took his time to help problem solve the projects I wanted to tackle. He encouraged and helped me fix things rather than automatically buy new. This was incredible advice; he said, it’s already broken, you can try to fix it, but you can’t break it more. One of the projects I had was to replace the handle on the storm door. Rich sought out the help of Bruce. Bruce not only came up with a way to fix the spring, he actually fixed it for me. It was so kind and generous. I am now a loyal Rocky’s customer.

Just came here to look around, store was bigger than I thought it would be, lots of selection, even had an assortment of spices for sale, some which were kosher too. Should be able to find most items you require for home projects.

I just moved to the area and have always been a fan of local hardware stores. In fact I had a Rocky's where I grew up. The nut and bolt / hardware selection here was the best I've ever seen of any hardware store. I was impressed. Needed two m6 x 1.0 flange bolts and had no problem finding them in stock.

I absolutely love this hardware store. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The staff is always looking to assist and really focuses on customer service. I just bought 20 bags of mulch and there worker helped load my car and made sure I was good to go. One of my pet peeves with bigger hardware stores is walking around aimlessly looking for a random product in a random aisle.

I had the best experience here today. I needed to buy an 8-foot ladder and somehow get it home in my mid-size SUV. As soon as I walked in I was offered assistance. No chasing people around the store for help like I have experienced elsewhere. The pleasant employee carried the ladder for me and loaded it into my car without a problem. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes.

Went there to get keys cut which is hardly the most important thing they have on offer. Did them within 2 minutes almost and charged me a very fair price. To find a place that cuts keys these days.

Would be a five star review if it weren’t for the old angry little twerp with the glasses that works there. He’s rude dismissive arrogant not friendly. And it’s not just a bad day thing he is constantly like that. you can see he doesn’t wanna be there.He has been there for years. You’re there to help the customer. Absolutely the best hardware store in Stamford. If they don't have it, you don't need it. And the staff are just so smart, friendly, and helpful. Ask any of them a question and they guide you to the right place and they stay with you with explanations until you have the item you need and you know what to do with it to make everything work correctly. I love this place and have never been disappointed there.

I always go to Karps Ace hardware first before Home Depot or Lowe's because it's my local hardware store, and you don't have to deal with the hassle of walking for miles to find one little thing. Prices are fairly competitive and the selection is good for a smaller place. I'm always surprised at how many things they carry.

Highly Highly recommend this store. I had questions about heaters needed for these chilly nights, and the person I spoke with was very knowledgable about radiator heaters, making sure I had done what I needed to do before investing in heaters. I am very impressed. They didn't have the item in stock that I wanted, but I will definitely send them my business when I next need hardware. Thank you!

The employees there did not try to help me at all. I had waited my turn to seek help and saw how a woman before me was treated as walked over to the aisle she needed. I was not received politely nor was the explanation of much help. I came in looking for a specific product that is said to be in stock online. After finding my way to the chlorine section and not finding the product, I went to a so called help hub, I said again to the employee what I was looking for and I was again treated as a second class person. Without making any calls, searching his computer or any of the dozens of things he has in front he just said “we don’t have that” oddly enough I went back to my car and I called them and I said, I’m looking for said product it says it’s in stock online. After a couple of minutes they get back to me and say they do, that they actually have 4 buckets. Ridiculous that while inside the store I got no help whatsoever and only through the phone were they able to help. Shows a lot about the factor race has in our community.

Great hardware store, the customer service is top-notch. It's not like going to the big Regional hardware stores where it's impossible to get help. Their staff is always patient and willing to help you find whatever it is you're looking for and to also give you their knowledge on how to use what you're buying which is excellent.

I love going to this hardware store. It's a totally different experience than shopping at Home Depot. The selves are well stocked and organized, so you don't spend hours looking for what you need. The staff is super helpful and knowledgable, so you end up with the right hardware to complete your DIY project. They have it all, and if they don't they'll order it for you.

What an amazing store! Its clean and has every kind of fastener, screws, bolts that you need. I couldn't find bolts to install my TV mount brackets to the TV any where but here. I will be going here a lot more now over home depot and rings end.

Staff is almost always very helpful. Only issue I had one time was with a key copy I needed. Worker looked like they really did not want to help me, a customer giving them business. Like I was a hassle. They hurriedly made my key and when I checked it in the lock it was not cut properly. I saw the difference in the key and fixed it myself. Only bad experience in more than a dozen visits. Otherwise reliable hardware store.

I am so glad to have a quality hardware store in my neighborhood. They are fairly well stocked for a small store (I found some obscure stainless hex nuts I needed for my kayak that even West Marine didn't carry), and they will often be able to order something that they don't stock. Many (though not all) of the staff are very knowledgeable - especially big Dave: there doesn't seem to be any kind of home project he isn't knowledgeable about, and he has helped me through many projects, never hesitating to spend time with me even if I only end up needing a $5 purchase. The prices may seem a little high compared to the box stores, but if you consider the value of help from the staff, compared with all the countless hours you can spend wandering around Home Depot looking for an employee, who 9 times out of 10 can't answer your questions, Karps comes out a real bargain.
