I bring my pup there on Thursdays and I really like the staff. They seem very caring with him, especially because he is a ball of extra energy. I would recommend the Stamford location to all my friends and family. I didn't give a 5 only because I haven't been happy with the grooming, and that's not due to the staff it's because of my pup being to Fiesty.

I always shop at this store but now I’m disgusted I don’t wanna shop at the store anymore. I go to purchase two parakeets I told Lady I had a cage which is a small one which is the regular size and I have experience with parakeets in the past, and I was being forced to be buying a bigger cage because they wanted me to purchase a bigger cage for two birds which fit in the same cage that I have at home.After I just told the young lady I’m gonna stay with the one I have at home then she has her other associate come to me to deny me of myself because I didn’t want to buy the cage so me with my little daughter wanting her pets I had to tell her this, and then it’s just like I felt like I was being pressured to buy something that I didn’t even need to buy. I bought the birds and spent $200 because of a cage they wanted me to purchase. This is really sad cause they want people to spend more in there store.

Me and my family went and got our first family pet which was a hamster last week. The associate named Ryan was very informative and helpful with our decision and purchase. I was very pleased and so was my child. I would highly recommend PetSmart

Our dog is a Labrador, and we used Banfield Pet Hospital at Petsmart in another location. The experience was cumbersome, and I won't go into details here.This time, I want to share our horrifying experience at the Petsmart Pet Hotel in Stamford. My husband and I recently boarded our dog there and went to another state for business.Early one morning, around 7 am, we were awakened by a call saying our dog had bitten a Petsmart staff member. Unless we picked up our dog immediately, they would hand him over to animal control (you know what that means). We were terrified, our minds went blank, and we just wanted to contact friends as quickly as possible to help pick up the dog. Thankfully, a friend who had only met our dog once came to our aid immediately, ensuring our dog's safety.Hours later, after calming down, we realized something was amiss. Our dog, a Labrador, one of the least aggressive breeds globally, known for being gentle and well-behaved by our friends, how could he randomly bite someone? If he were truly dangerous, how could our friend, who had only met the dog once, be willing to help us without hesitation? I could only think that Petsmart's staff mistreated my dog during that time. I checked some reviews and learned that some employees even hit dogs with items, which reinforcing my suspicion. However, I lack evidence to sue Petsmart, so I have to let it go.Now we have taken our dog home from our friend. Our friend described our dog as well-trained, most lovely boy he ever seen that every time he took our dog for a walk, there were people wanted to pet our dog.This experience was truly horrifying, and thinking about it now is frightening. Many thanks to the friend who helped; he was also frightened by Petsmart's staff. They described my dog as aggressive, made it sound severe, and informed our friend that our dog was now blacklisted at Petsmart, and no Petsmart would accept him in the future. I just want to say that even if Petsmart were to remove my dog from their blacklist, I would never step into their stores again.

I had an appointment for 9 AM today, I walk in And it turns out the groomer called out, I don’t understand why they didn’t give a phone call and make people go out of their way to tell them Their groomer is not there. You should’ve called ahead of time I find it very unprofessional.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced in any store. Avoid at all costs. Refer to photos below to see the way my child’s arm got scratched because the employees placed a returned item without any concern for safety. As we were walking by and looking at the dog photos the cage fell. How can a store place items that can fall over children when walking by? When I asked employees if any animals lived there and if it was clean they were completely dismissive. Worst experience ever!

My family's dog has spent several days at PetSmart, and we had no complaints regarding that. It did take a bit of time for us to get an answer when we used the buzzer on the front, but that's the only issue.

Check out is always friendly. This question asked really means you don't have any trust in your employees! I'm giving a five star to your staff, STAFF, IN STORE EMPLOYEES. Shelf product in the fish Department is always different, never the same merch I buy every 3 weeks. Store employees are never a issue. Love them extremely helpful wishing had names! Give them all a good raise they deserve it!! Love shopping this store, I hate replying to surveys. But I now retail and all your associates need a decent compensation. Your employees are awesome!!

I had the most traumatic experience at this location. On May 26th approximately 10:10 am, I entered the store in hopes of finding my first pet in many years. After wandering through the store a bit, I ended up at the “Doggie Day Camp” window, which is the size of the wall.Looking inside, all kinds of doggie adorableness was on display. Many varieties were assembled in a room facing the window. One dog barked, and then a couple others joined.Immediately the woman who was in charge of the pups very harshly scolded them for barking and started shooting a water bottle directly at them, hitting them in the face and eyes!!!Seeing my appalled expression, the woman glared at me with a look of aggression that made me feel unsafe, especially for the dogs. Then I heard a voice over a store radio saying, “the guy at the window needs to go!!!”I bolted toward the front of the store in haste to find someone in charge. A woman named Marlena, who acted as on-duty manager, listened as I told her what happened. I was told that the woman should not have been acting in that manner and that in future signs would be visible saying NOT to look in the window too long because it excites the dogs.If you love your pet, I would NEVER EVER put them in the care of PetSmart or their staff.

It was simple to get to off of I-95. High traffic area. Really organized, clean, great parking lot. I came for one item that I saw online they had in stock and I was able to find the aisle without speaking to anyone. The staff was really friendly and checkout is very smooth. (Starbucks is right in front - bonus!)

Andrea the trainer is an absolutely wonderful and brilliant trainer. We have a very stubborn little wirehaired weenie dog who learned to listen after just 2 classes with Andrea. She is good at what she does and is so patient with our tiny demon rat dog. 10/10 for the beginning training class, we will be returning for intermediate level training.

Lately it became almost impossible to bring the dog for grooming. The staff at the Grooming salon is not friendly, in particular Tacoya, one of the groomers. Once, the dog was too early, and then, the dog was too late. They take hours with a dog in a cage and have zero flexibility with the dog appointments. They are also like burnt out with zero motivation!. It was a great place a year ago, but it is now going downhill!.

The store never has bags, and the employees don’t tell you they are bags until after you pay. The wet food cans are often smashed beyond recognition. The store a few minutes away in Norwalk is much better.

We went back to this PetSmart today to discuss an issue we had with a Budgie we bought weeks prior. The manager: Ryan, who sold us the budgie was there, on his day off, and he still heard us out and offered an immediate solution to our problem. Rachell, the cashier was super nice and helped ring us up and was talking about our Budgie and we appreciated the personal touch. Everyone is super friendly and they always offer assistance! It’s my favorite PetSmart to go to!
