What a magical place! 🐧 🕊️🐸🐢 We recently visited this wonderful bird paradise for a companion for our Zebra finch, Noel (aka “Sparky”). We walked in and we were so delighted to be greeted by friendly faces! The staff were so helpful and knowledgeable! The store was impeccably organized and clean. The birds were all in spacious, clean homes and were chirping delightfully!!! There is a beautiful display when you walk up the stairs which leads to “rain foresty” area with fountains, plants, nests and birds flying free and happy!!There was a plethora of premade cages of great quality there for purchase. Tons of bird toys and accessories. Clean, bright and beautiful store.There were even some rescue bunnies, lizards and tortoises too! I thought that was so nice. It felt like home to me.We were showed which finches would be the right fit for our Zebra finch. We picked a beautiful white finch and they gingerly placed her in the carrying container (which I noticed, the care taken).When we were ready to leave, we asked and were able to purchase a bag of their home mixed seed blend that would be great to continue with and some beautiful millet sprays. We were on our way!Needless to say, our new gal Holly (white finch) is thriving here. I am so happy we found a beautiful, clean, bird shop for the future where the animals are truly cared for, HEALTHY and safe. Hard to find a shop so organized and clean… A real gem it is! :)

We stopped by the shop to show my parents and the baby the birds and animals they have. The store is spacious, well-maintained and very clean. The staff was very friendly. They didn’t seem to mind us checking around without intent to purchase anything. They have a wide variety of birds with different types and sizes. They have beautiful big parrots and a decent number of the birds are actually allowed to be free of chain or cages there. The parrots seem to be very comfortable and nicely raised. They also have other types of animals such as tortoise and chameleon. Although we didn’t purchase birds or use their services so I can’t give opinions on that, it does seem like a nice store with good supplies and services for bird owners.

Absolutely the best bird store in a 20 mile radius. Birds were happy and young, clearly well taken care of. The owner was there and so helpful. We are getting an English Budgie (bread by the owner, kept in the “nursery” and hand/fed until ready) and so excited!!

I have been coming to Parrot & Company to get my cockatiel's nail clippings done for the past year. We are always welcomed and treated kindly. My cockatiel is not a fan of getting touched, but I appreciate that he has never been injured. We also bought him his cage and perch from Parrot & Company when we first got him. At first, he wasn't a fan of the perch, but he has now warmed up to it. His cage is very roomy and loves that he has it all to himself. They also have a variety of toys for all birds! We have bought plenty of their toys, and our cockatiel loves them!

I went to this bird store the first time today. I was so excited to see that it surpassed my expectations. When you first walk in first of all you notice there isn’t a bird smell you usually smell in those stores typical bird stores. You know why? Because this store was so clean so beautiful. When you walk in you immediately notice the huge bird enclosure to your right that has the most precious birds ever. Then you walk up the stairs and there are so many bird cages so many birds of all size shapes and species. I was so pleasantly surprised. The most beautiful clean tamed friendly birds you will ever meet. All so well taken care of and so loved. They also had a variety of bird food that they make fresh daily for all sorts of birds of different species and sizes different colors different textures for different ages and stages. I met the owner and he was the kindest man you would ever meet. He answered all my questions and concerns and even helped me pick out food for my bird. He was such a gentleman and so patient. I am so glad I found this cute bird store. I will forever be a customer of this place even though I live 55 mins away its so worth it.

I can not say enough good things about this place! The customer service is exceptional. Tod was so wonderful with my kids. They have made this experience of getting our Bird absolutely AMAZING!!! The Staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. I would never go anywhere else and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Parrots and Company!!!!

I got my two Budgies here, one a little more than a year ago, and the other almost a year ago.Parrots and Company has great service, and while the employees aren't quick to greet you, it's very understandable because they're running a business with tons of birds. I got to Parrots and Company to get my birds' seed mix (mostly used for foraging) and millet sprays.

Fantastic place for all things related to pet birds and Parrots. They hatch and hand feed quite a variety of parrots, parakeets, finches, conures. Last time I checked, they had Cockatiels, Indian Ringnecks, Alexandrian Parakeets, Green Cheek Conures, my favorite Caiques, African Greys, Cockatoos, Macaws etc but all depending on what they have hatched at that time. They do not buy from outside to sell to you!! Well run business, clean with well managed. They offer clipping and boarding services. Although at first they may seem to be expensive, if you are unaware of Parrot pricing, but after lots of comparative research, I found them to be very reasonable and fair for what they offer. Their parrots are all weaned by hand and so from birth don't see hands and fingers as something to fear. They are healthy and kept clean and we'll provided for. The store offers toys, bird food, cages, perches. Very good advice from the people there who own and have much experience with birds themselves.

This place physically injured our bird.We took our bird here to be housed while we went on vacation for a week.When we returned, he was at the vet, not even a call to inform us beforehand.There are two large dogs & a cat, I’m sure bird-friendly, who roam around the shop, but at some point our bird became scared & then got caught in something, breaking most of his talons. The ones that broke were amputated.Needless to say we were upset, but knew of nowhere else that could take care of a bird while we were rarely away, thinking this place, despite the accident, employed professionals.We came back a couple times afterwards, & they housed the bird. The last time we were there, we asked if he could be placed in a room separate from the dogs & cat, and they refused us all together.Look, we’re nice people, with good manners & attitude. We didn’t put up a fight, this is just the service we received anyways, & it’s unfortunately worth the warning.This place went the extra mile to avoid responsibility. No call about the accident, no real information on what had happened, we even continued to pay them a couple times after &...for what? To eventually be turned away for a pretty reasonable request given the history?This place is just a bird mill with irresponsible folk who put up a facade that they know more than they do. It’s not about the birds, it’s about the bills, and if your bird dies in the process then that’s just par for the course to them.If COVID-19 kills this business it will be no loss to the community.

Highly knowledgeable staff dedicated to caring for their birds. This place is awesome if your a bird lover. I bought a gorgeous, and gentle Meyer's parrot from them today. He's a sweetheart. Not the first time I've been there but the 1st time purchasing a bird from them. Fyi they also do much more than sell birds.

Just got my baby from Parrot and Company. I couldn't be happier the staff there has been great even though I'm a nervous mess when handling the little guy since I've never owned a bird before. I have 4 weeks before I can bring him home and so far I have no complaints about my experience. Today after visiting him we headed over to see another breeder who I won't name in Scarsdale, NY we had originally considered checking out the place before choosing a breeder and decided not to and just go with Parrot and Company. We went today to the other breeder just to see if they had cages at lower prices and boy.. talk about a sigh of relief I'm so grateful that I got my guy from Parrot and Company the shop is clean the animals look well cared for and happy you don't have cage upon cage of birds looking miserable, the place doesn't smell and they don't make you feel unwelcome.So if you're in search of a bird this is the place to go.

We are the proud parents of the most wonderful English Budgie we could have hoped for. The youngest of our 4 kids turned 21 this year and my wife was looking forward to a new addition to our almost empty nest. She had been waiting for a male budgie because of the higher probability of talking and better disposition, but our 4 month old female has been an amazing addition to our home.

We were looking into purchasing a bird and we fell in love with this place! It was extremely clean, the birds were healthy and seemed happy, and the cages were good sized for the birds that resided in them. STARK contrast from Exotic Birds of Windsong in Orange, CT, which we had checked out earlier in the day.Todd was extremely knowledgeable and allowed us to hold one of the birds - a green cheeked conure. Both employees (not sure if they were the owners) answered numerous questions we had and explained the birds are bred in house. They handle the birds right from birth, so they are accustomed to human touch.There was a large number of birds to choose from and an excellent inventory of cages, toys, food, "trees", and the like. Todd obviously wanted us to find the right breed of bird for our lifestyle - making sure the bird and our family match, so both the bird and us are happy. He was so pleasant and helpful. Business seemed very reputable and the birds were very healthy.When we are ready to purchase our exotic bird, we are DEFINITELY going here!

Do not buy from here. My wife trusted them, we bought 4 birds from them, after much of a wait for one to be old enough we bought a bad bird, very skittish and angry. We tried numerous times to have owner help us and she was very nasty. Finally said she would help us if we bring the bird back and spend more moneyThis is bad business, poor service, buyer beware. And out baby bird ended up being over 1YR old discovered by two other professionals, real bait and switch.I would rate less than one star if possible, all the owner has to do is replace bird or refund money to make right,It’s a simple solution for a good business person.

I visited the store today and bought a baby cocktail. I drove 2 hours to get there and unfortunately my excitement quickly left me when i got there but let me just start with the positives for now. For starters the store is amazing! Beautiful display, Super clean, birds look great and healthy, tons of variety in birds all great but here's the BIG negative, the lack of friendliness from the staff really bothered me. First i was not greeted, first thing that was said to me was "leave your stroller down stairs you'll scare the birds" ( in the rudest way). No hello how are you welcome nothing ! (By the way the store was empty they were not busy at all) The second thing that was said to me after 15 min with no greeting was "dont leave your child unattended" again in a rude way. My child is only 3 but was behaving , not touching screaming, bothering the birds at all. I understand she's a todller and they probably didnt want her to get hurt by the birds but it should have been said in a much nicer way like other birds store i have visited. I was so uncomfortable and felt so unwelcomed i just wanted to buy the bird and get out. The older women was a bit nicer while we did the transaction but thats about it. This staff really needs to learn how to work with the public, they seem to really be misarble and in a bad mood. I was stared at by this man ( i think the manager)like i was an alien or something while i interacted with the cockateils in the back, not a friendly look more like an annoyed look, i swesr to guys i was absolutely doing nothing wrong i was being friendly despite not being treated the same. I was honestly being polite and well behaved at the store. I was so excited to come here and unfortunately was disappointed with the customer service. Yes i got a beautiful, sweet healthy bird which is the most important thing but feeling welcomed and treated nicely is also a big deal to me. I've visited several bird stores and never had this type of experience, all were super nice and welcoming. Honestly if it werent for the fact that i couldnt find this type of mutation anywhere else closer to me i wouldnt have bought a bird from them. I do love my bird though at least i have that to take from this store. Another thing i found very odd is, they keep no records of the birds they have no hatch date available no info on parents absolutely nothing. To me hatch day is very important but they couldn't even provide that which in my opinion is irresponsible breeding. I normally dont ever write reviews but i had to with this store not to bash them or deter customers from going there but in hopes that they see this and really work on the customer service because this store is truly amazing and its so unfortunate that the staff there is so rude. To the owner if this amazing store please retrain you're staff or hire better friendlier staff !÷

This is such a neat store!!! The aviary in the entrance is easily the best bird display that I’ve seen. Their red factor canaries are STUNNING. All of the store parrots were on large stands with lots of activities. Breeding pairs and babies were in a private space (with lots of windows) and appeared very healthy and clean. The staff was so nice and answered several of our questions very thoughtfully…and thoroughly. It’s absolutely worth a visit! I look forward to going again soon.

I purchased a Red Bellied Parrot 20+ years ago from Parrots and Co. His name is Ernie Washington and he's still going strong. I'd recommend purchasing from them. They guided me to the best fit for my lifestyle. Taught me how to care and feed him, as he was a baby. Don't hesitate to shop there. Very knowledgeable staff. Thanks again.

So today was my first time visiting, I’ve got a new love and passion for birds. This place was one of a kind. The only place like it in CT, that I’ve seen. I drove an hour & I was not disappointed ! The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. There are so many cute birds & a huge variety. Hundreds of toys, stands, bowls, treats, food, cages. I really enjoyed my trip.

BEST STORE! This pet store is absolutely amazing everything is clean it all the birds are perfectly healthy! There’s so many different beautiful birds and everything is so nice and kept clean! All the birds look super happy and everyone is well cared for there I would definitely come here again I purchased a cockatiel and she is doing amazing they gave me the best care I needed! I would recommend this pet store to anyone in the New England area because I truly believe it is the best bird store!

Where to start with this amazing store! I know that the employees can sometimes come across as blunt, but don’t take it personally! They’ve got their heads in the game and are there to help you with your bird owner journey. Todd is wonderful with the birds and really knows his stuff, as do all of the other employees. The birds are incredible and their selection is truly vast and ever-so colorful. All of the birds we’ve acquired from Parrots and Co. have rare and beautiful mutations. This local gem is really a sight to see and experience. Clifford, Rebecca, Ziggy, Henry and Leo are just a few of their eccentric and unique store birds that are guaranteed to turn you into a full blown bird person.

I stop by in this shop every now and then to watch the parrots, which are always out of their cages.
