I am a professionally trained and experienced mobile dog groomer, and after years of trying many brands of shampoo, I finally settled on AdVet’s Hygienics Shampoo and Conditioner as the only dog shampoo I keep in stock. It is hypoallergenic to humans and pets, tear-free, safe for puppies and cleans beautifully with only one application most of the time. I dilute it 1:3 parts distilled water for both shampoo and conditioner and even then a little goes a long way!After pre-wetting and sudsing the coat, I let it sit for about 5 minutes while I gently massage the dog. Then I slowly rinse as I continue to massage. If the water doesn’t run clear at the end, I’ll suds up one more time, but that’s usually not necessary for my pampered clients. Then I apply a small amount of conditioner with additional water so that it gets down to the skin well, and a quick rinse gets it all out.Sometimes a little additional work is required around the mouth, but Hygienics gets all but the greasiest mouths clean. I use another orange-based shampoo for the greasiest ears and mouths, but after 4 years, I still have a quarter gallon of that left. I also keep flea and tick shampoo on hand, but rarely have to use it as Hygienics has a natural repellent. I don’t use scent sprays, but my clients always rave about how clean and fresh their dogs smell after their spa time with me. Occasionally a human client gives me a medicated shampoo from their vet, but this is also rare as others have told me how their pets’ skin conditions cleared up after I started grooming them.

AdVet first came to my attention at a grooming trade show last year. I bought the intro pack of shampoo, creme rinse and waterless shampoo spray. From the first time I used it I was sold, as were my clients and their pets. My hands love the soothing, cooling sensation of the products, so I know the dogs and cats must be feeling great too. The mint is a refreshing scent that is unisex and appeals even to those who are fragrance averse since it’s already associated with oral care and cleanliness in general. Not fruity or floral, just right. The pricing is reasonable given that the shampoo is highly concentrated, and that’s great for my bottom line. Because my specialty is in-home grooming of elderly, ill or handicapped pets, the animals I work with can be very matted and soiled. AdVet cleans them thoroughly without lots of detergent and scrubbing that might irritate. I’m yet to have a customer who wasn’t absolutely delighted with the results, therefore so am I! This is a great natural shampoo and conditioner for dogs with skin conditions and/ or bothered by pests. I've been using it for over a year on select clients and on my own dogs and I haven't seen any adverse reactions. Make sure to follow up with the conditioner, though, because the shampoo has tea tree oil which can be very harsh.

Hygienics products deserve 10 stars! The shampoo & conditioner are AMAZING! I own a Pet Care Business & when I say, "Let's go take a bath" My dogs automatically go to the bathroom & wait for their turn to take a bath!...after the pooches are dried & brushed, they run around, super happy & with a big smile! I liked the shampoo and conditioner. I thought his previous shampoo smelled better, but the AdVet shampoo still smelled good and clean on his fur after shampooing. The conditioner helped a lot combing his hair afterwards, it made it easier. He was scratching a fair amount before the shampoo and seemed to have stopped afterwards, so that was great.

The shampoo and conditioners as well as waterless shampoo spray are superior at giving my clients crisp, clean, great smelling fur/hair. The ingredients are just the right chemistry for all types of skin with ingredients like tea tree oil that cure itching, fungus and discourage fleas and ticks.

Our pup is getting up there in age and recently started getting flaky "eczema" like patches all over his skin. Came across Advet+ at a booth at the Stamford DT summer pet farmers market event. Bought the starter package and ended up not using it for the first 4-5 months. Until our lil Coco skin issues started to surface. I purchased this product for my pit bull that had a skin irration and braking in between the paws. I was referred to try this product from my dog groomer and WOOWW what a change in my dogs skin no flakes and you can see the shin in her coat she has gotten much better since using this shampoo and conditioner mix ...... a Must try if you ask me I Highly Recommed this product if your dogs having skin issues or just want your dog to get that shine in his or her Coat

The products are very good. Their fur was shiny and soft. They didn't scratch so much. My only concern was that the products contained tree tea oil. There is debates on using it on pets. But otherwise I liked the products.
