Took my dog here for a dog wash this weekend and it was great! Dog washes are now $10 (cheaper than when it was Dave's). The store seems to be more open now that the new owners have taken over. The pricing on individual treats are the lowest I have seen anywhere. They also happen to have the triumph jerky treats in the flavor my dog loves so that was a bonus.I am thoroughly impressed and will be back. If they ever make a dog wash discount program like pet valu, then I will make this store my primary pet store!As for those who left 1 star reviews because of the closure during the pandemic, maybe you should take into consideration that the store was not prepared to open up in a safe way for employees and customers. Personally I feel this is a reflection of good management that prioritizes the health of workers and customers rather than profits.

I love this place. It has a great selection, but more importantly, the people are very friendly and helpful. The young woman who has worked there for a while once spent a long time helping me find the perfect toys for my new cat. Stafford is lucky to have this place.

Have been to a few of the other old Dave's locations before they were bought by Smithland, but had never gotten around to going to this one until the other day. I needed to get food for my service dog and we were in Monson, MA anyway so we made the hike.I cannot believe I have never been to this location before. It was nice and open, bright and clean, and the staff was the friendliest that I have ever had the oppertunity to meet. One of the cashiers came over to me to talk to me about my dog and give him some love (with permission) including some Stella and Chewy cookies that they had up at the register.I will definitely be returning to this location when I can.

The staff was so helpful and awesome. Went in there frantic with a order for my cat to be put on a diet, not having any idea of how to really go about that correctly, they were so insightful. I left with a great game plan! Thanks staff at Dave's!

Brought my dog in here and they gave her treats. Good dog toy selection. My only only complaint is that I was once checking out and the cashier was basically yelling about how she had been throwing up and didn’t go home. That’s something you should keep to yourself and not announce to a line of 4 costumers.

Great place! There is a very friendly staff that is always recommending new things and can help with any information I need. There is a wide selection of food, toys, and other equipment. My favorite part is that pets are welcome and my dog loves the free treats!

Clean store, decent prices, awesome staff. Even the youngins take their jobs seriously. I bought my kid a pet from a teenager who was a startling wealth of knowledge and when i had a question she couldn't answer she took the time to look through a book and then Google it. Love them, they should all be proud of what they do and how much they help

Since the business changed hands to Smith-land Supply it has not been good as Dave's.What happened was we took our dog Molly in for a dog bath, she is 13 years old and has some issues but we always give her the love and attention. Her back legs have some trouble and we helped her in and out of the tub. Gave her a dog wash and left. The following day we get a call from the dog warden of Stafford saying we are not taking of Molly and they want to know why she is so skinny, she is 13! are you kidding me? if we weren't taking care of her then why would we take her for a bath! Very disappointed with the new business!

I miss Dave's. I'm sorry, but I don't think I'll be returning here.It's funny they're the only pet supply with specialty items in town, and they limit to pick up only?? Have you ever considered that not everyone can do that??? Not everyone does online shopping, and not everyone uses a bank card!Petco and Petsmart are still open and they have the virus right in their town. I'll take the risk and go out there from now on.I'm disappointed. The BigY is handling the situation better, for Pete's sakes! Give the people masks, gloves, and clean the store! Use the barricades that BigY put up! All this insanity is ridiculous!

Dave's has everything you need for your pet, including grooming services. There are always coupons in the mail as well. The staff at the Stafford store are helpful and pleasant.

Dave's is a great little Hometown Pet Place did I always go for the needs of my lizard and my boyfriends dog. My daughter loves to go there and run around the store to see what kinds of animals there are the people there are very knowledgeable of the product very recommended

Poor service. Overcharged was not charged price on the item. Never received a call back from Stafford store or a response to the email I sent to the main store. Returned everything I purchased and will go to a more reputable store.

This store was not there for us. They closed, as if my pets were not essential family members needing food. I had to look else where during this virus to take care of my pets. I won’t be returning.
