Can't say much about the shopping experience, but if it has the same self checkout system as most other Stop and Shops, it's probably an irritating experience.This location did have a good number of returnable machines, I think ~6. On the other hand, they don't accept Avery's bottles, which is the reason I went there.

I have issues with the online pick up service you have at this location. Every time I go to pick up my items during the specified time, it is NEVER ready. I end up going in the store, only to be told how many reasons someone couldn't get the job done. I am told to come back or to wait with no regard of MY time frame. If I didn't do my job, I would get written up or fired. This new generation has no idea what hard work is or what an actual time crunch means. I wouldn't even care if I had to wait, as long as there was someone actually hustling. I then call customer service to address the issue, maybe find a better solution on how to run that department efficiently, and that guy says "hey, things happen. maybe you should not only text to say you are on your way, but also call" !!! I feel that if I need to hold your hand to do YOUR JOB, then I will shop elsewhere. Conveniently closer to home is NOT the answer to continue being frustrated.

A employee named Heidi helped me a great deal to find what I needed in the store. She went above and beyond to help me and she is fantastic with customer service. Treat her well.

I don't normally shop there at that certain location. Not knowing where everything is located , I was hesitant asking a stop& shop employee who was filling out orders to be delivered because I know they're very busy. I did and that employee was extremely helpful and friendly. She located the fettuccine noodles by the deli department. Keep up the good work!

Reliable and consistent experience at every location I've visited. Staff is attentive, aisles are well-organized, and cleanliness is a priority. Produce is consistently fresh. Prices are slightly higher than competitors, but you're paying for quality and a seamless shopping experience. Worth the extra cost for the dependability. Solid four-star choice for grocery shopping.

Nice clean store. The workers there are very nice. Same set up as the one at home, pretty much. Prices are higher than our usual Stop n Shop, so I think we'll stay with are regular one.

Update:A manager contacted me via e-mail and apologized for the trouble this incident has caused. This has restored my faith in my local Stop and Shop. Thank you for your help.Original Review:Yesterday I saw hand sanitizer on an endcap across from the pharmacy. The shelves all displayed a price of $3.99 per bottle. I purchased three bottles. The price rang up at $6.49 apiece. I questioned the cashier in charge of self checkout, but she stated that the price is the price. There was no price on the shelf for $6.49, only for $3.99. In fact this endcap display had four copies of the $3.99 price tag on it. I asked to speak to a manager. Head cashier Brandon (if I remember correctly) came over and spoke with me. I showed him the display. He saw that there was no higher price label. He had to ask the women in charge of the dept for the price. He came back and I asked if I could I could get the price adjusted to $3.99 per bottle, or a refund on one bottle. He stated that there is nothing he could do. He was willing to get a manager, but a line was forming for the self checkout so I had to leave. I paid for my sanitizer and then proceeded to take pictures of the hand sanitizer display. TLDR Stop and Shop is either violating CT's "Get One Free" law and/or pricee gouging during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sloooowest and careless employees here every single time! Who does the hiring and managing of this store?! It’s really not that hard to hire or train employees that actually want to work and are thankful to have a job. I’m not even asking to go above and beyond like most stores but at least do your job with a friendly helpful attitude. Come on let’s do better because this store makes the community look bad.

Overpriced and dirty store with lousy customer service. This is starting to become normal practice for grocery stores in the area.The only store in the area doing great work with good prices and good customer service is Shop Rite.When Shop Rites busy they open lanes not like the other stores bringing in more ring it yourself checkout crazy Aldi just put in like 10 of them !

Not bad. The store was clean and everyone was helpful. I took a star off because I went in looking for four things and they didn't have three of them. They did have reasonable enough substitutes though.

Customer service is terrible. Not enough check out lines open. (2 minutes to find what I want, 15 minutes to check out) Prices are also the highest in Southington. With 4 other super market chains in town, why does anyone still shop here?

It's a grocery store. They have a clean, well lit store. The aisles are wide, the selection is good. The deli is expensive, because they sell Boars Head products, but everything is fresh. I love the pharmacy and the pharmacist. It's so great when you go to pick up your prescription and you don't even need to tell them your name because they know you so well.

Typically have everything in stock and store is clean. Some of the employees are happier to be there than others but it's stop and shop so that isn't really a surprise.

Okay so this store has changed so much over the years. I must say for the better. Even though the prices are higher...I still go here. I always migrate back to this store. The quality of food is better and always in stock. Especially the deli. Boars Head brand is by far the best brand for deli meats. The location is convenient and every week when I grocery shop I argue with my husband about where to shop...we tried other stores but like I said...we always go back to here. And the gas points....bomb...so wonderful having that reward when filling up the tank.

I go to this store several times a week. The staff here are always polite and helpful. My kids get excited about the free fruit snack.Excellent house-brand products. I am a particular fan of their baked goods. They offer great prepared foods as well.Always clean and well stocked up front. The restrooms and shopping carts could be cleaner but overall its a great store!

Supervisors need more training. Its known to card for alcohol and that's awesome. They are doing a great job at it. No ID No alcohol. Simple. But they allow you to use anyone's credit card with anyone's name, no problem! Seems a little off to me. They allow people in without masks in a pandemic. Their own employees don't adhere to one way isles. Their employees take front row parking. Rude employees in bakery. Allow multiple people not related im bottle room at same time. A lot of guidelines from the federal and state level knowingly being broken. Management needs to step up and lead a team. People gathering carts have no regards for vehicles they have hit my truck and I have seen them hit other peoples cars as well and carry on like nothing happened. Time for me to shop elsewhere. Somewhere safer.

The store is very safe and clean. There is a designated person disinfecting every cart with spray and paper towel. The produce section is near organized and clean. The front of the store always has the items on sale accessible like chips soda water and dips.

Decently clean, deli staff is usually pretty helpful, meat was well stocked. I usually go later at night when the store is a bit emptier. This store gets crazy busy right after all the 9 to 5ers get home.

This employee was extremely creepy and rude. He got very close to me and made it a goal to rub up against me. He also, muttered swears under his breath because he had to scan his badge for a check out error. Keep your children away from this creep.

Ever since this store was 'revamped", I noticed they carry less variety of products. Specifically pet food. I have requested (multiple times) Purina One Kitten Food; since this store does carry Purina One cat food for adult cats. I live less than 2 miles away & have to shop in Kensington or Cromwell simply because this store does not routinely carry other name-brand products I used to purchase here. The selection is extremely limited for many items.

This grocery store is so clean, smells so nice all the time, the staff has always been helpful and happy to point me in the right direction. Special shout out to the deli. Always hook me up with the cheese slice when I'm waiting around for my order. My only regret is I cant give them more stars.

The idea of self checkout nowadays is great but there are so many people that have no business trying to ring items out themselves. This wouldn't be an issue if Stop & Shop had more staff to help those customers out. At the very least there should be more than two regular checkout registers open at any given time. Any Stop & Shop i go to has this issue. Aside from that, they have everything I need and stock almost never seems to be an issue.

This store is decent, even more so because of the massive wage hike due to protests a few months back. Prices ate always competitive, but it's groceries...we need them and no matter where, we're going to buy them. With time we can pick, but convenience shows no limits. Always fresh produce, decent selection of meats and poultry, in addition to that robot that cleans spills when summoned( also the groceries Big Brother I feel as well lol) Overall a decent place to shop for vittles.

We were out of town looking specifically for high end frankfurters that Stop and Shop carry. Not inexpensive at $14.99 for 2.5 pounds but they had them and we love them. When we are in New England we look for a Stop and Shop because these are worth the money and the effort. The store looked clean and well stocked.
