Always right on time. I appreciate your attention to details. It makes a difference. I can better plan for my 2 boys when I can count on their food will be here on time and will be the food I ordered. It takes creative ways to get customers but it takes a discipline and a committed staff to keep them. Thank you.

I am highly disappointed with the services my dog received. I took him for a bath and trim I explained to the groomer Jennifer what I would like for her to do to my dog, which it was to shave his chest and to cut just a little down his hair on top, clean his face and sanitary areas. When my daughter brought my dog to my house I was so mad and upset, they shave my dog completely including his face, eyelashes to explained my self better I have a Shih Tzu and I got back a chihuahua that's how my poor fur baby looks. This was my first and last time taking my dog to Petco . I regret it. I have to give one start because it wasn't an option for zero.

Oh, Petco, or as I affectionately like to call it, the "Corporate Pet Penitentiary." As I strolled through the aisles, I couldn't help but feel like I'd entered a dystopian pet wonderland.The ferrets? Well, they were in their own world, looking like they'd just discovered the dark secrets of the universe after a hit of fentanyl. Meanwhile, most of the aquarium fish seemed to have entered the final stage of some existential crisis, drifting lifelessly at the bottom of their glass tanks.And then, there's the staff. One fine soul told me, and I quote, "I don't know anything about the animals, I just work here." Well, isn't that reassuring?But wait, there's more! All the pet supplies on these hallowed shelves are priced in a way that makes your average grocery run feel like a bargain shopping spree. And as I left, my heart felt heavier than my overpriced plastic bag containing two pitiful, abused fish.Alas, my dear fish friends, despite my $100 worth of supplies meant to create a luxurious aquatic haven, both of them joined the fishy afterlife all too soon. Farewell, little swimmers. May you find a better home in the great big aquarium in the sky.

Stay away from grooming !!!I paid $96 for a schnauzer cut, understanding that my dog had knots they will have to go short, before the appointment I brushed my dogs face and there was no knots on his beard or eyebrows, but the groomer decided to completely shave my dogs eyebrows and beard off. As you know the eyebrows and beard are the characteristics of a schnauzer. My dog looks like a chihuahua now. I don’t know if is lack of training or just pure laziness but save yourself a headache and don’t take your dog here. I promise you can do it better at home!

They were wonderful. My dog was very sick. The vet examined her anyway and told me to take her to the vet hospital. I did, and it saved her life. Thank you.

Overpriced, lack of help from any single employee, long wait line, at least 7 people before myself and only 1 cashier, very poorly managed. Efficiency is definitely not a priority nor is customer service. Live insects for omnivores, most dead and over priced by a large amount, can get a 3lb bag of ferret food, same brand as on your shelf, for the same price you're charging for a 1lb bag, $14.99 for such a small bag is insane, when I can get more than 3 times the amount for the same price from your competitor. The size selection of small animal corner litter boxes, very disappointing either huge or extra small. To close my review, I will NOT shop the store unless I absolutely have no other option.

They sell you sick fish!!! I bought a fish not even 10 hours later the fish was dead. I brought it back and they refused to give me another fish. I had to pay for another fish. I will never go there again! Ever in my life.

Cashiers are Not veterinarians or animal experts and should NOT be pestering customers with unsolicited advice based off purchases as they ring them out.I’ve been a petco customer for 7+ years, I’ve been given friendly and professional recommendations before but tonights experience was patronizing and unpleasant.One of the employees ~persistently~ tried to convince me to feed my cat LESS wet food and switch to dry food upon seeing the amount of wet food I was buying…. even though I politely stated I am feeding based off what my cats needs are, the feeding guidelines and am fine with my current choice. Then admitted he didn’t even have a cat…It is harmful to dish out this sort of advice to pet owners with cats who might have medical conditions: diabetes, kidney disease etc. To recommend less wet food and more dry is ridiculous.

I went to Petco in Southington, CT to purchase a gift card for a friend of mine in NYC. She'd just rescued an emanciated homeless Pitbull Puppy. The card was brought to help her out a bit. I will say the cashier at Petco was very friendly, people oriented. She worked the first register in the entrance way.

i went in today for a couple things for a new betta of mine and was just looking at their selection 1st of all the water is beyond filthy and clouded as you can see in the pictures and they are dying. I found a dead one in the cup it was all foggy and had definitely been dead awhile and i brought it up to the cashier. they should be doing small water changes on the cups its one of their job duties literally. this is so inhumane and sad i didnt buy anything i needed i just left)-:

Very inconsistent in shipping times and customer service didn’t seem to care that I said my items were due on weds and it was now Saturday. Yes now I’m getting my items today in two days yet when I called on a Friday stating this is not like petco they said they are still coming. No they weren’t they should have been there on Wednesday.

Saltwater aquatics employee there was very helpful and out going to the customers including me, first time in a long time I seen the saltwater section stocked with exotic fish in a long time I went there for seaweed for my fish because all pets didn’t have any they ate lagging in supplies for saltwater being that try make mist of their revenue from dogs, so I decided to go to pet o and should of went there from the beginning the store is becoming what it used to be thanks will shop there again.

This was our first time in this particular Petco and there were live crickets all over the floors, we were afraid we would step on one. The store is really dirty, especially the bathroom when I went in to wash my hands. The employees all seemed like they were in a horrible mood. We will never go back this one again.

I took my Shih tzu several times for grooming and it was good, but today it was really bad I couldn’t even recognize my doggy, I think it was a lazy lady that just shaved my dog instead of trimming her hair correctly, I don’t recommend this place for grooming. So avoid this place for it

Wow!I drove 30 minutes to come here and get my dog's nails clipped. We were just DENIED SERVICE BECAUSE SHE'S IN A WHEELCHAIR?!?!WOW!See can lift every leg up, no problem annd is such a sweetie! I'm so upset!!!Not handicapped accessible!? They told me to go to West Hartford!

As a former groomer, I can confidently tell you that groomers don't just, "scalp" or "shave all the hair off to make them look like a Chihuahua" just for fun. People who really sit here and think groomers shave pets down to nothing for fun REALLY need a reality check...and a hard look in the mirror. Shame on those of you who think like that!As a pet owner, you are their entire world and THEY depend on YOU to keep them happy and comfortable. Groomers love doing fluffier haircuts and styles! Does anyone honestly think we are being, "lazy" or lack skill simply because YOU failed to maintain your pet's coat? We talk to pet owners until we are blue in the face about how to care for their pets at home. We show you how to brush/comb/etc. I can't go to a hairstylist after not brushing/washing my hair for 6+ months and expect fabulous long hair like you see on a magazine cover.That being said, every groomer at this location has groomed my furry kids and I'm always over the moon with the results and care they receive! Again, as a former groomer I am even more critical than the every day pet owner. Those of you having an issue with a "quoted" price being different than what you actually paid? What do you think a quote is...? It's an estimation. Same as when you get a quote from a mechanic, landscaper, etc. A groomer cannot give you a concrete price until they actually SEE and FEEL your pet's coat. If I went to a hair stylist with super thin hair, I'm definitely not paying the same as someone with incredibly thick hair, or neglected hair.Be kind and understanding to your groomers! They got in to this profession for the love of animals.

Petco ill review as a hole franciase rather then an individual store. So it seems to have a larger variety of "all-natural, holistic, or grain-free" varieties of cat & dog food. With that said and being a vet tech I don't 100% support that particular movement. It's geared in consumer appeal. I also don't believe the foods are any better for a dog or cat then "mainstream" diets and some even being even more unbalanced then them. For 1 cats shouldn't be eating grains since they are obligate carnivores & need more taurine in a diet then other species. Dogs aren't allergic to grains normally & when a dog has food allergies it's usually from a protein source in the food not a carbohydrate or grain. So for this push in the switch to their these types of foods I've stopped buying my dog and cat food there. Other products there comparing to petsmart are about $1 more expensive. The reptile section alot of times is sad to look at because they seem to keep more then they can sell or have experience with keeping & have inexperience kids taking care of their husbandry & nurtional needs. It's probably just store policy & standard guidelines created by the company for caring for them. So I wouldn't be suprised to find a bearded dragon getting no calcium or another reptile getting inadequate or wrong supplementation if they are given any at all. I'm sure a handful of crickets are dumped & left in cages even if not eaten & I also see that as of recent they been bringing in smaller/younger then I would surely recommend selling bearded dragons, lizards that seem "cool" to own that the customer nor staff have any clue about. So they set up possible good owner to fail selling them that cute baby Savanah monitor bit don't realize nor are informed that this cute little lizard will eventually need a custom made cage it will get so large and if not trained or conditioned properly will become super aggressive particularly at mealtime and that it would not be recommended to allow a fully grown Savanah monitor have free roam of a house that also has small animals particularly rodents of any size or small cats or dogs ecspecially unsupervised. The rodent dept is normally packed full of mice, hamsters, few guinea pigs, maybe some rats & always seems to b at least 2 gerbils. Some stores have ferrets. For these poor pets I often wonder the rate of injury or death from cagemates. With a bleeding heart once I bought a mouse that was being attacked relentlessly by several cagemates since then I try to spend little time as possible in that dept only spending enough time to satisfy my child that yes I see the cage full of male juvenile hamsters. I've even told the staff there once that in one of the hamster cages there was an injured hamster that seems to have significant injuries to his testicle but got a less then concerned oh I'll check it out later remark. The aquatics dept seems to be the only dept that isn't teetering on abuse. With that said the filtration in any pet store setting is normally thru 1 or few filter systems. Meaning every tank is filtered thru same filter. So it's posses the risk of a single tank of sick fish exposing the entire stock. But it is important as a fish keeper to quarantine at home all new fish before adding to established tank & if they don't that is a risk they are responsible for not so much the store. In some stores I noticed they have saltwater tanks with fairly common types of saltwater fish. I often wonder how knowledgeable staff already is for monitoring parameters in specific tanks if they do it at all. And always in at least 1 of the aquariums there is seems to always be a random dead fish that appears to have died several days ago.Now on a more positive review I do think in general the overall stores are clean and neat. They typically have quite a bit of dog apparel, collars, and leashes. The variety of different fish foods and lighting is normally pretty good. Cages for reptiles is normally good for a starter or beginner and ok selection of substrates, vit & mineral supplements. I cud go on but reached limi

Took my baby girl here to be groomed, there was a very rude groomer , named Tiffany who had no patience chop my dog hair off unevenly when I came to pick her up she told me she put my dog on a time out !!!! The nerve of her , when I asked to see my baby I was appalled when told to pay first. I preceded to pay and was charged $ 10 more than I was quoted. My poor baby girl was so happy to get out of there this was the first and last time I would ever bring my dog here . I will continue to commute to ny to her original groomer,Tiffany must have just started on that day. If you bring your fur babies here make sure Tiffany is not grooming them .

The salon cleanliness was nice. My dog felt comfortable and at ease. I felt comfortable leaving my dog for hours without any worries. But once my dog was ready for pickup I was shocked and appalled by how my dog haircut looked. The cut was not how I asked the groomer to cut him. My dog looked unhappy and I proceeded to tell the groomer about the cut and she started raising her voice. Unfortunately I will not take him back to this specific location again.

The store manager, Jennifer, is amazing. Always has a wonderful attitude and greets my pup with a smile and a treat. She is a great problem solver and goes out of her way for her costumers. Had a great experience with her tonight helping with a return.

I put two but I should've put 0. I put two because there was one girl that taught me more about getting whites tree frog. But the reason I thought I shouve put 0 is because the animals are getting the worst care possible! Bearded dragons are together and they SHOULDNT be together. Leopard geckos are together they SHOULDNT be together. FROGS HAVE WIRST CAGES EVER AND FOR 2!! You guys need to take care of your animals! IM GETTING A BEARDED DRAGON FROM THERE AND IF I SEE 1!!!!!.
