Pat's Main Street Ice Cream in Southington is unfortunately a 50/50 mix of good and bad. Good stuff, the Amaretto Cherry ice cream is fantastic!! Inside is very colorful and upbeat looking. Good variety of flavors to choose from. Short blonde girl serving was smiling and friendly. Bad stuff, outside tables very dirty and worn, front door handle is beyond anything close to acceptable, please clean that! I do sympathize with the economic times Pat's must be going through ... but no ice cream samples?? Come on, that's the hallmark of any good place that you get to try some. Other reviews that say the owner is awful ... eh maybe, but I think it's more of that "Main Street" USA is a thing of the past and now his business is forced to live in this world. Worth a visit to try the ice cream and keep the Main Street dream alive for everyone.

Amazing place!! Great . We was starving for something sweet after dinner but we was looking for a place different than the regular cheap simple ice cream, so we found this place, never heared about before. Wow ice cream is so soft and delicious , a lot of to choose from nice spot for kids too. I can’t wait to come back.

Pat has been making a most pleasurable ice cream experience ever since he came to town. This is hands down the best place around with the most quality driven aspects to the deserts served. From variety of flavors, to innovative ideas; all brought together with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. You should make it a priority to stop in! 10/10!

Had such a pleasant experience! The owner was extremely friendly and was welcoming! There were so many flavors and options to choose from. We got Eddies Orange Creamsicle Milkshake, Medium Vanilla Waffle Cone with Rainbow Sprinkles, and Fresh Cotton Candy. It wasn’t reasonably priced not expensive. We will definitely be returning; I see why they are #1.

Lots of different ice cream flavors to choose from, but they do not offer samples here. The ice cream is good but their sizes are on the smaller size.

Our family loves visiting Pat’s Main Street Ice Cream. There are a lot of hard ice cream flavor choices to keep everyone happy, in addition to soft serve. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Tonight we arrived just as they were about to make cotton candy and that certainly made this little guy’s night!

I actually haven’t eaten ice cream in years. I just found it too cold and meh to bother eating. I tried this place because I had a gift voucher. I am a born-again ice cream lover! Or maybe just to this ice cream. I don’t know. But I know this is soooo yum and tasty I had the cherry… amaretto? Can’t remember. Brain fog from all the tastiness. Also, the workers are very friendly! I’d highly recommend!!

Wonderful place! So many to choose from, Ice cream was great! They have all the fixins, they got anything a kid would want and more. Customer Service was superb, we went in when there was no line and they were patient and explained everything to us. So many flavors to choose from so it took us some time but everything we got was great. Kids were also able to score a toy.

I absolutely love this little family owned ice cream shop. It's cute and quaint. With a little seating area outside for those nice spring/summer days. The owner is super friendly and welcoming. And the ice cream did not disappoint. I had the peanut butter fudge, and when I say delicious 😋... it's the only way to describe it. I'm definitely going back. And a must go to spot for ice cream.

My absolute favorite place to get ice cream!!! I know the prices can be a little bit extreme but it's honestly worth it if you're only going once in a while as a treat. Soft serve cotton candy all the way!!

His ice cream AND service is second to none! My favorite is cookies and cream along with his Birthday Cake flavor. My family has been going every Sunday evening since it opened! He treats my 8 year old daughter like one of his own. LOVE this place!

Every week I take my mom out for lunch so if the weather is nice enough to sit outside, we go here afterwards for ice cream. So many delicious flavors, the owner is so friendly too. Parking is tough in the front, only a few spots but they also have a back lot if its busy which I realized few weeks of going. You can also sit out on the side with plenty of seating to enjoy your ice cream.

When my wife Lisa and I moved into town 5 years ago this July, it didn't take us long to find this place and we've been regulars ever since. Friendly faces and super customer service. Great ice cream and we always grab a package of hand made flying saucers to go!

Pat the legend himself served us our ice cream! What a genuine, wholesome, down to earth man. He told me he's been running for 13 years and has won awards for his ice cream and milk shakes. After trying his stuff, I can see why! You walk in a customer, and walk out feeling like family. Great experience through and through. Will definitely be coming back!

The ice cream 🍦 is very good .My daughter asked for a bowl to put her melting ice cream cone inAnd was told NO what are u a little kid. U don't need one. She is a little kid and didn't want to be covered in melting ice cream. I had to go in and ask for a bowl for her. We did like the ice cream very much. But not the B.S over a bowl

Went here while I was in the area and picked up a few pints for some friends. We were all very happy with the birthday cake and the triple chocolate flavours. Will definitely visit again when I'm back in the area.

Went based on reviews.Had 2 very young grandkids who wanted more than one flavor in a cup. Was told in a very rude manor that a small cup was only one scoop and they could NOT split it up between two flavors and if that’s what we wanted we had to buy medium cups.So we bought one medium and one small for the two kids and we adults saved our money for another day.I’ve NEVER had an ice cream shop refuse such a simple request.

They have around 20+ varieties of ice cream flavours. We tried the Amaretto Cherry and the Cannoli. Both were good Italian flavours.

Friendly service, the owner will probably wait on you, a great selection of ice creams and toppings, and the prices are very inexpensive. There is seating inside, and some benches outside, but on a crowded night you'll probably have to stand or eat in your car. This is a nice little ride for our family to get ice cream multiple times a year.
