Customer Service was Efficient, timely, extremely friendly and willing to assist with any issues,. Most pleasant staff making shopping a joy. They were very knowledgeable of where products were located in store, and willing to retrieve. In three days, I dealt a lot with Selina, Judy and Yolanda, as I was purchasing several coat’s for the awesome “crazy deal” for Veterans’ coats. These ladies along with other staff created a very pleasant environment for shopping. Store was very well stocked. Thank you. I will return. Quite exceptional!

It was dirty and there was so much stuff crammed in that you couldn't move thru aisles comfortably. I've been to other Ocean State Job lots and they were not like this one in Southington. Disgusting

Always something new. I usually buy coffee pods there at a great price. I can't say when the best time to shop their, but there is usually a wait at checkout. Every week they publish an online flyer and their Crazy Deals offer value added to subsequent visits. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful, because of longevity with the company.

Jeff and Yolanda Welcome went above and beyond in customer service and expertise!!! Jeff was so knowledgeable about pool chemicals and supplies needed for pool safety. Yolanda was very beneficial in helping myself and another customer understand the VERY complicated receipt summary. I enjoy shopping at Ocean State for all the GREAT deals, but to also have such a positive experience from such stellar employees genuinely made my shopping so much easier and more delightful 😊 thank you again Yolanda and Jeff, I'll be back soon!

I frequently go here to look through the food selection specifically. They always have unique food items that I like to try and discounted name brand items. The staff has always been friendly and the store is clean and organized.

Bought a gazebo and it was great. But it only lasted a single season. At the beginning of this season a bunch of welds completely failed and the entire thing collapsed. We took good care of it too. There's no reason for welds to rust out and fail in only a year! We emailed them for help and not only did they not help but they didn't even take a minute to reply. Totally unprofessional.

Jeff, Salena and all the staff at this store are professional, efficient, knowledgeable but most of all they are the most pleasant staff to do business with!! Been shopping at this OS for years. Love the low prices and friendly staff. Today though, Chris, the manager went above and beyond. We're from NY and come to this OS when we pass through and visit our fam in CT. We must have accidentally left our headlights on. As We waited in the parking lot for AAA Chris came out and gave us a jump, thus saving the day. Thank you Chris!!

My wife and I have always loved shopping here. We recently had an interaction with the young women in service area with short hair we can't remember her name but she wears lots of bracelets my wife loves seeing her she is great. My wife says she's a breath of freshair and loves conversating with her. She is always extremely helpful.

Ocean State has a lot of good deals, and reasonable prices. There seem to be a lot of equipment and computer failures at this one, and some training opportunities as well. They were well stocked, so that's a plus.

I was calling around to multiple stores including the Bristol location, Home Depot, Lowes to no avail for Diatomaceous Earth for my pool filter. When I called, Milton not only let me know that the DE may have just arrived, he checked the delivery and not only was able to put them aside for me he also had them waiting at the Service Desk right when I walked in. Everyone that uses the pool this summer appreciates it! Thanks Milton for making my day and going above and beyond!

I found that the aisles were a little tighter than usual. I normally go to a different OSJL location and there is much more room to move around. Makes it less stressful shopping when you have room to breathe. Selection was less than my usual store as well, but it is a smaller location so I guess that goes with the territory.

I like the store but it needs a better layout for walking around. The isles when you first walk in is too narrow. Other than that I like the items in stock!

Love this store. Will always shop here. But very disappointed because I switched to a cat food, purely fine, I went to 3 of your stores. You were out of 2 of the flavors my cats eat. Now I have to switch foods. Goo puttering store.

This store sucks. Never has anyone in the aisles to help customers. Consistently not having product advertised in circular in stock. Store so poorly merchandised. Expand the parking lot by knocking down store. Don't shop there.

Ocean state is a place where you go without anything particular in mind because you never know what they're going to have and what interesting items you might find. They have a little bit of everything. I find it there dried food department, things such as baking supplies, canned goods, snacks such as cookies and chips are very good price and of good quality. For the type of store it is, basically a upscale Dollar Store they have a lot of good deals but you have to look to find them

It's like ever other Ocean State. It's always a mess, it's dirty, it smells. BUT the employees are super nice. Even though it's messy the shelves are always full and have great deals. Seems like I'm complaining but I'm not. It's an Ocean State Job Lot, you know what your walking into when you decided to go there.

Everytime I come on this store I spend more than I expected. I love to pick thru things and search for a bargain. This store forces you to love that type of shopping. I have been to quite a few OSJL and they all vary by size and by product. I love that this chain buys for the area they are located. Keeping it centralized allows you to purchase items specific to your region and area. I give it 4 stars because I always find something I didn't know I needed. Lol

Ok, if you want to fight through aisles, not fight with customers, just aisle are right, impassable if being stock. Wheel chair, Forget it. Walker Best of luck. Prices are good, just not worth,the battle to save a dollar...

Ocean Stare is my "To-Go" store for a whole bunch of reasons. The prices in a normal retail store have almost become untouchable in CT. Have to shop around for the best bargains you can get in today's market place. Ocean-State has everything from garden tools, seeds, mulch, swimming pool stuff, bedding items, office items and a variety of food stuff. The items change often, so get it when you see it.

The cost of fertilizer is increasing due to the war in Ukraine. I am typing this in March of 2022. Ocean State Job Lot has the most affordable compost for fertilizing your garden for this coming season. Get it while you can.

They are pretty cheap for alot of things. The store is decent for pool chemicals, some canned or boxed food items, cloths, and miscellaneous items. The registrar lines are a little long.
