I try to make everything a one stop shop kind of deal. But I have to wait at a service desk to turn in bottle slips. Cause they can't be done at the register upon check out. Most of the time there's a long line at the service desk. Some people can't afford to waste their time for something simple that can be taking care of at another register. Not supporting customers on the smaller things makes it not worth my while to shop in your stores.

My experience at this location has always been positive. I enjoy shopping at this location and couple weeks ago was no different. I stopped in for groceries and the tire shop, while I was at the tire shop it was very busy. Patrick (tire shop) was alone handling a long line of customers and trying to work on the cars in the shop. The customer service I received from him I haven't gotten that service in other places lately. He was more than willing to help me and paused working on other cars while he assisted me with adding air to my tires and lookup tires for my car.

I experienced the worst cashier ever. I know how to use self checkout. I'm young and I've done it a million times, even at this store with the same exact items I always buy. the self checkout machine was malfunctioning badly. it would add items only 45 seconds after I scanned them, and some items were doubled while others wouldn't go in at all. the cashier tried fixing it and then it continued acting like that. I asked to start over on a different machine and she refused. she sent the glitched order to the front computer and started interrogating me about which items I "didn't scan" like she thought I was trying to steal. she made me stand there and try to figure out which items were missing from the glitched order. I begged her to just let me start over because it was all messed up and she still refused. the whole time she was rude to me, she tried to send me away to customer service, she was texting people on her personal cell phone, and at the end she condescendingly told me to use the normal checkout next time. I could not tell if she was intoxicated or just making the silly voice that adults make when they talk down to very small children.

Bjs always has great products they lose points because everytime I go theres a line and they never have enough cashiers.We pay for our membership and expect good quick service. They have a bunch of scan it yourself registers but we dont get paid to scan groceries please have more cashiers available otherwise when it's time to renew our membership we will go to Costco or Sams!!

The service was top-tier it is absolutely exceptional the service I received from Carlos and Darren(not sure of spelling ) was outstanding. They went above and beyond to do the impossible. As a customer of bjs for several years this moment just solidified my loyalty to this company. I hope they get raises a bonus paid vacation something they are amazing all the staff is but my experience with this gentleman was truly delightful. Thank you for your commitment to serve.I’m am a truly happy customer I was able to get the freezer I’ve been wanting which was over $400 plus everywhere else I looked I’m so grateful for the professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond.

Rhonda who works in the bakery department needs to be talked with. My sister in law n my self went to inquire about ordering a birthday cake with a picture on it and Ms Rhonda was completely rude to us. We asked for a assistance she flat out told us that she can’t help us nor answer any of our questions. Her demeanor was unpleasant and I’m sure not part of your core values. Due to this we had to take our business elsewhere and we were pretty pissed because BJs makes great cakes . Hopefully Rhonda learns from this and will try her best next time when it comes to helping “the” customer.

Store is clean and organized. We did cancel at one time due to manager that is really one of the worst managers I’ve ever seen deal with customers. We had a digital coupon attached to our card and it wouldn’t work. It was for I believe five dollars off any purchase. The register girl called manager over and she was like annoyed the coupon wouldn’t work then said not her issue I would have to call credit card company for bjs or something of that nature and walked away. Real snob from what I saw. I went right to the customer service desk to cancel our card and was told I couldn’t cancel cause I would have to contact bjs MasterCard so they could cancel it. We came back since we purchase lunch meat from here at a decent price but every time I see that manager she is just walking around with a constant aggravated face.

I’ve been a member with BJ’s for awhile. This past year decided it was worth it to upgrade the membership so that I get 2% back on purchases. It pays off if you shop here enough. But the kicker for me is that when I was upgraded I was not told that the rewards expire and don’t stay on your membership. I have no way of knowing how many of my rewards have already expired. I would’ve used them had I known. I intended on letting them accumulate until the end of the year but that’s apparently not an option. Maybe they should make that more clear to the consumer upon sign up so that you don’t lose out on your cash back. The customer service desk also needs more than 1 employee. They always only have one employee there. The line for it is almost always 5-10 people long and I’ve stood in that line for over 30 minutes in the past which is kind of ridiculous.Other than that, the bakery made a really gorgeous Super Mario birthday cake for my son, and it was for a really good price. The coupons you get in the mail will equal out to a lot of savings, plus you can also use manufacturer coupons with those on top of the BJs coupon to equal out to more savings. Recently purchased an electric fireplace/tv stand combination from here and it’s gorgeous. I also bought a solid wood bunk bed/trundle drawer combination for my boys from here and it’s held up really nicely, their mattresses are also great, no complaints. If you look at their furniture options you’ll find great deals and the quality is great. The fireplace/tv stand didn’t even require assembly it was already assembled inside of the box which is pretty hard to come by.

Pick up order was timely but the mushrooms and salad were old already, I don't suggest doing fresh produce that's fragile like mushrooms and salad, they will give you the oldest one they have. Too bad I didn't see it till my boyfriend brought it home.

I shop here occasionally, you can empty your wallet,if your not careful here, but you have to shop wisely,alot of stuff is bulk,I find some stuff more expensive here than a regular supermarket.they tend to always have the same stuff. It's okay if your shopping for big family. The 50 dollar membership is ridiculous.

Don't shop here, they require a membership and if you try to get a non-member, they won't let you get it. I tries to get a 256 gig flash drive but was denied and they didn't let me get a non member card

I am not one to usually leave reviews but I have to share my experience I had today. I went to BJ’s to pick up some meat platters that we ordered for our daughter’s birthday party. When I got there the lady at the deli department handed me one meat platter when I ordered 3. Obviously being frustrated I asked to speak with the manager. She did not have the manager come back to the deli department instead she started making the two missing platters (kindly rudely). I called the store and asked for the manager. The manager Sol got on the phone and I told him I would like to speak to him. He came right back to the deli department and after a brief conversation Sol really jumped in and took charge and started even making the platters himself. Hands down I can not even compliment enough on Sol’s management skills to do right by the customer. What was a bad situation. Sol very quickly jumped in and calmed the situation down and took care of the customer. BJ’s you are lucky to have a manager like this. His service today saved a customer!! Thank you again Sol

I've been a member of this BJ's store since it opened. In general this is a good store to shop. Customer services are good, sincere and most importantly they find a solution to your problem.Recently I had some BJ's reward money. Which I've been saving for a while to use it on a particular purchase. When I was ready to use it, it was gone. I called the reward people and spoke to bunch of them getting bounced around but at the end, I was told that I'd have to go to the store and talk to the customer service desk. I called the store spoke to Taylor on my initial call. Explained her my missing reward money situation from my account. She took down my information said will talk to the store manager Randy and get back to me. I knew Randy form the previous transactions. Two days later I followed up with Taylor, she told me Randy have reached out to the reward people and waiting for an answer. Couple of days later I followed up aging. This time I spoke to Randy (store manager) he told me right away this is talking longer than expected not getting any clear answer. To expedite the process he offered me he'll issue a store gift card for missing amount and it'll be ready for me at the desk before 5 pm that day. Same day I went to the customer service desk and mentioned my name my gift card was ready for me. I ended purchasing the item and was able to use the gift card substitute my reward money. I thank the team leader Randy and the other team members who helped me find a solution for my situation.Great team work guys!Thank you,Sharod

I wanted to write about a complaint I had in dealing with the Southington, CT BJ's location last week.Due to the recent storm, I was left without power and located a generator in stock at this location. I was at the location and requested assistance to purchase the generator, but was unable to due to it being on a shelving and not having any approved fork-lift operators available to take it down.At this point, I asked to pay for the item, since it was in stock, and return tomorrow after the night crew would be able to bring it down. I was informed by the manager on duty that it would not be possible as they could not allow me to pay for an item without taking it? I questioned the reasoning as paying online and picking something up is the same thing. It was also in stock and available, just not able to take it down due to not having any authorized personnel on staff at the time.I spoke about the next steps and was told I could order it online to hold and pick up the following day. That was an acceptable compromise, but was told to do it "as close to 9pm as possible" as they would cancel out my order. I do not understand this reasoning behind online orders. Why would my order be cancelled out when you can't take it down until over night? I also countered that the longer I wait, the longer someone else has the time to purchase this online from your inventory before me. An assistant manager Shaya stated she would put my name and contact the overnight crew to take the item down and leave it at register 14 for me to pick up the following day.I left it at that as there was no other options. I did purchase the order online at 6:55pm that day and received a cancellation for it later that night. Again, Shaya mentioned she would hold the generator for me the next day.Low and behold, when I arrived I was told it was purchased by someone else during your "early elderly shopping" time period. I expressed the urgency of needing this item as my situation was I run on well water and without power, cannot even provide running water in my household for 3 children and the generator was a life necessity at that point.Considering not renewing my membership pending the response I get back from corporate on my email.

The receipt checker held up this one couple as she scrutinized their receipt line by line and interrogated them for quite a while then surprise surprise she didn't even look at the carts as she marked the receipts for the rest of us, probably because we were white.This is the SECOND TIME I have witnessed a minority being treated this way. Both times a different receipt checker which leads me to believe it must be store policy to stop anyone who isn't white. They should be ashamed of themselves!!!

I ordered through pickup arrived for a 10 person deep mess at the customer service desk. You are better off going in amd shopping since no social distancing in front area plus your in for a longer wait.WORST pickup service I have experienced so I lefywothout picking up. Called store manager who confirmed that is the service.

Great prices products n able to save by buying in bulk.has gas station n a propane filling station as well as a tire shop located on the side of the building. Plenty of parking there as well so there's no need to worry about the parking situation.

We do all our bulk grocery shopping at BJ's for our family of 7. We love the order online and pick up later service and now the coupons you can load on your card. No more cutting it coupons! Great place to shop.

BJ's had the audacity to take down one of my reviews. Don't trust their ratings they've paid for false 5 star reviews.The closing shift was downright disrespectful one night. I went to get gas and coffee and made the 'mistake' of deciding to get my gas first. I tried to get my coffee but it was 9:02 and the nasty woman at the entrance wouldn't let me in even after I pleaded with her that I only needed coffee for the next morning. She lied to me! She treated me like a fool, claiming that the registers were closed. Anyone would know that can't be since they need a register open to ring out the customers left in the store.I'm done with you BJ's. Your days of offering subpar service are coming to an end.

Be careful with the optical guy. When I made the order, he was a very nice. But when I came to pick up the contacts lenses, I realized he ordered the wrong contacts lenses. When I said the box was different from what I got before, he said that they were same lenses but different boxes. That was totally wrong, they are different kind of lenses. Using his lenses could have destroy my eyes. In stead of admitting his fault, he had some attitude to me and tried to argue with me while I didn't even explicitly said he was wrong. More important, this is unethical.

The pick up service is terrible. The "shoppers" do not check expiration dates or if they do then they are chosing dates that are expired or expiring in a day or two. Do not order milk, produce, or other fresh foods for puck up.

I have Costco and BJ's membership, I have to say BJ's sucks, I hate their coupon system. People choice BJ's not only the location but also you can use manufacturer coupon at BJ's, but the BJ's coupon system is horrible, you need to cut the coupon from coupon book or print it online and scan it when you check out, there is no online send-to-card option. Well, I can understand why BJ's do this way, you can feel you are saving when you scan the coupon one by one, BUT it's not so easy to scan the coupon by yourself, the self check out system is a joke.

I love BJ'S! I can use store coupons AND manufacturers coupons. I love the variety of different things offered. The clothing and shoes are a pretty good deal. The deli is always busy, and LOL cheese is the cheapest you will find.

I shop here for my store and the selection is great, the store is always nice and clean. Some employees will ignore you and some come off racist. Went to renew my business membership but might not next time.
