So my husband and I went into the store to buy fish as we do often. I walked right beside a play area with two puppies in the area.One of the puppies started jumping up and crying begging for love and attention. My husband and I have discussed getting a new puppy for a couple of months now. We are the type of people that if it's meant to be we will know. When this particular puppy started jumping up and crying begging for love towards me I figured this just may be the one.I picked up the puppy to see if it was a male or female. The puppy started licking and was extremely excited. This was another great sign. I was prepared to buy this particular puppy that day. I wanted my husband to hold her and see how she was interacting towards him. If it was the same as it was with me then we would have made the purchase. A staff member walked to where I was holding the puppy and said to me to please put the dog back on the floor. Never asked me if I was interested in the puppy or if I had any questions.She was just being rude rather than being helpful. I immediately went and told my husband about this and he wanted to see the puppy. I took him to the cage and showed her to him. I told him we were not allowed to pick her up. He then looked at me and said we could not buy her then. He explained that it was just too much money to pay if we can't see how she interacts and treats him. I agreed. Then as we were getting ready to leave we were looking for dog treats for our other puppy and the same lady walked right by my husband and asked how are you honey. This was an extremely young lady and my husband and I are in our 40s ...we went home and I looked online to find out more info on the puppy because believe it or not I was still considering purchasing her. I figured that maybe if we go back and see someone else that maybe we could let my husband see how she would interact with him. My husband was so upset about the way I was treated that he just said no and told me of other places we could go to look for just the right puppy and we would be able to play and hold the puppy to make sure it was the right one for our family.

I bought my puppy from them, and they were awesome. Great customer service, and they are so helpful. I lost my other dog from cancer, and I was suffering from a heartbreak from losing her. My family couldn't take it anymore from seeing me so heartbroken from my loss. When I saw him, my face lit up once I saw him, and I knew that he was my baby/dog

They now charge you $5 just to hold/touch/play with a puppy!!!!!! What the heck is this? This is not a Zoo where you pay to play with an animal! Im contacting Animal rights to let them know how you are making money off these poor dogs! We walked out, and they lost us as customers for that! Because I think its terrible how they’re making $5 off every person to just play with a pup! I will take my business else where now, to a store that allows me free of charge to take a pup out! Shame on the owner to make such a terrible rule up apparently this started since covid!!! Never before did u pay to hold a puppy!!! Just any way for the owner to make a few extra bucks I guess!!! I know we weren't the first customer to feel this way and we wont be the last! Go elsewhere to get your puppy until the owner stops charging people to hold a puppy!!!!!!!!

Absolutely love this pet store. I started coming here a few months ago and I do not regret it. They always have everything I need for my cats and my bird. The staff is always so friendly and always offers help. I drive 49 minutes to come here and it’s worth it. Such a great pet store!!

I absolutely love this pet store! With a dog and a kitten at home, I practically live here. Paris is an absolute GEM. She is always so friendly when I come in and goes above and beyond to assist me with whatever I need. The customer service is great, making every visit a pleasure. Highly recommend to all pet owners in the area!!

Edit: I have multiple people who witnessed both the puppy with the broken leg and the frequent parva cases from dogs purchased at that store. The owner has been lying for years, he doesn’t care about people anymore than he cares about animals.I shopped here many times. Until I learned the dogs are from puppy mills. Many are sick and a local vet gets a slew of puppies with PARVA come in that were purchased from this store: The owner once left a PUPPY WITH A BROKEN LEG suffering overnight because he did not want to pay the extra costs of an emergency vet. If you want to support animal abuse, this is the place to go!

So I brought my kids to check out this pet store because we hadn’t before. I was thinking of purchasing an iguana. I go to the enclosure and this is what I found. There’s three employees just sitting in the front of store hanging out. If I had questions they were friendly and polite. And the most shocking part of it all no one was even in the process of cleaning any enclosures and clearly by the pictures they hadn’t been cleaned for months. There was literally mold and I’m sure all types of bacteria where the iguana are suppose to eat. After I left there I went to the Branford location and there’s 100% difference In the way the enclosures were kept. There was a woman even working on the cleaning the snakes tanks at the time. Very sad day!

Sincerely want to thank everyone who was part of Ghosts Journey to me. From the moment I saw him I knew I had to bring him home! I placed a first pick on him and couldn’t see him right away but the people I spoke with were very kind enough to let my first visit also be the day I bring him home which was just in time after his medications and vaccines. I liked all the information he came with, very helpful! We placed our first vet visit today! So exciting. He has adjusted fairly quickly, he’s eating and drinking fine. He has been playing with his new toys, he is always ready to play. He has good sleeping habits, only woke me up one time in the night to play! I’m super happy and will update as he grows older. I was nervous he would be sad because he had many others to play with but he loves being around me. It was hard getting good photos he’s very active ! Lol

Me and my fiancé fell in love with a red Boston terrier from here on the 4th of July 2023 he's such a love thank you all pets club for the advice and having everything we needed for his home at a reasonable price. We will love him endlessly !❤️🐶

Tyler was such a big HELP ! I was having some issues with my bearded dragon he took the time to draw me a diagram on proper lighting / heating ! I go weekly for crickets and him and the other staff are so friendly and helpful !!

This is the place to go! The guys here are very knowledgeable and helpful. I have a rainbow shark that I was having no luck with finding good tank mates for. When I first went here the guys pointed me in the right direction and I now have a very happy tank. I will go here for all of my fish every fish I have gotten has always been healthy with no issues. I recently added a snowball Pleco and couldn’t be more happy.

stinky attitude when returning a tank with bad silicone seal- got store credit so whatever, but saying that it ~probably~wouldn’t have been an issue that a 37 gallon tank was getting stress cracks in the structural silicone like it was an overreaction for me to return it. sorry i don’t want my almost $100 saltwater puffer and 37 gallons of water on my hardwood floor. thnx though

I purchased my dog from this location. She’s a beautiful perfectly healthy labradoodle. She came with all information from the breeder, microchipped and all documented health information. You can really tell the staff cares about the animals in their care. A lot of them seem to remember the dogs purchased from their location when you come back with them. Getting a dog here makes you a lifetime club member, but the staff really sells that concept.

I am looking for a puppy. Jake has been tremendously helpful. He’s knowledgeable, responsive, kind, and funny besides. I haven’t identified my new pup yet, but with Jake’s help, I know I will. They used to have a lot of saltwater fish and corals. Past 3 times that I visited the store in the past 6 months, all the saltwater tanks were empty and very few corals in the tanks. My last visit I asked the workers why there was almost no stock of saltwater fish and corals and they told me that the owner of the store does not want to go to the airport to pick up new stock. I would not advise salt water enthusiasts to waste their time checking out their stock unless the above situation changes.

Stop by today with my kids to buy a puppy for my Autistic child. The sales person were rude. I was told my family and I can’t play with the puppies if we weren’t buying the dog today. It was unfair for my kids. It felt has if they We’re being racist towards us. All caucasian staff and we a hispanic family. They seem bothered by my kids and I. The reason they gave us is that many families had to play with the puppies today and if we weren’t buying a dog today my family wouldn’t be able to play with the puppies. Will not recommend this place. Staff need more customer service skills.

Our dog was experiencing yeast infections on his paws. Licking his paws raw. Tyler gave us great advice about switching the food. Doggy all better now! Thanks Tyler!

Callled in first about a dog after seeing pics. Was told can come in and look at. Came in with my dog to purchase and to meet my dog. The dog in pic didn’t look as clean as in pic. They don’t mention I have to pay to look at a dog. I bought my first don’t there and didn’t expect this. The staff is god awful. Teenager sloppy looking that new nothingObviously just a job and they hire anyone. For god sakes make them look professional. I had to ask to get someone because these useless kids just standing around. The place is godAwful dirty looking. Then they offer online sale to find out u have to pay to be a member to get the sale. Such a scam anyway. Advertise hundreds more but become a member and they knock over $600. Really bad marketing scam to make u feel u getting some bargain. Then told dogs go cheaper longer they stay. Done with this place.

I highly recommend the Southington All Pets Club location. I have bought fish for our aquarium, always very happy. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Not every All Pets Club stores are as helpful, I live close to another and always have a hard time finding staff to help me. I choose to drive to Southington. Thanks for another great experience today! 😊

Came in to visit first time (April 21st), my opinion is that I found the store with all goods pilled up, it seems owner needs a bigger space. Regarding fish hobby, the freshwater tanks were “ok” but the saltwater tanks all of them had red slime covering the sand and rocks which revels poor maintenance, to say the minimum. Only few fish available and the tanks selection right by the dog area, very close. From the outside perspective, the store is in the corner of the plaza with some litter and debris in front of the entrance door. I think there are better options regarding to the aquarium hobbies to go to. Owner should improve general cleaning, improve a lot tanks maintenance!

I had the best experience buying my puppy from here. The staff was so wonderful and helpful. Cameron and the staff were so informative and so helpful and willing to help. They all took there time with us and had no problem making sure that we were happy. They really enjoy doing what they do and it shows with the care for the animals and how they treat the customers. Cameron made sure that I had everything I needed for my new puppy and told me to call anytime if I have any questions or problems. If you are looking to add a pet to your family this is the best place to go.
