I can't believe, as a Glastonbury native, it took me until late this summer to get here. Now it's on my "regular destination" list thanks to the beautiful setting, the atmosphere with live music and food trucks, and the excellent selection of quality beers. What a great "hang" place. And if you're a bicyclist like me, a perfect spot for ending your ride.

Hops on the Hill Farm Brewery offers an amazing setting for enjoying an afternoon with loved ones. The ambiance is truly remarkable, their beers are excellent, and a consistent presence of food trucks adds to the experience. Whether you choose to relax outdoors on a sunny day, engaging in games amidst the open fields, or prefer the comfort of their spacious and inviting indoor area during inclement weather, the brewery provides a welcoming and cozy environment. Visiting this brewery is undoubtedly a valuable use of your time for a delightful experience.

This is more than 3 years in Connecticut and never heard about this place but finally got a chance to visit this place. This brewery is having very big open space and having their tent and chairs but hey you can bring your own chairs or mats also (kind of quick picnic). Their IPAs are good ( I liked CT IPA). Would like to come this place often. Also, every Thursday they have “Cruise on the Farm” so you can see loads of vintage cars.

I have nothing but great things to say. After trying to get to Lyman Orchards to their sunflower field for our engagement pictures we had nothing but a nightmare. Dragging two kids and our photographer we thought the day was lost but my fiancé remembered there were sunflowers at Hop on the Hill so we made our way there with hopes of squeezing in a few pictures before you guys closed. Our photographer spoke to the owner who said we could absolutely take pictures there and we even were able to stay until 6:30 even though they closed at 6. I am beyond thankful for the hospitality and I can’t wait to share the finished pictures, I’ll be forever grateful for turning a horrible afternoon into one I’ll never forget! Then sunflowers were beautiful as well as the grounds and the best part- the awesome beer.

Hops on the Hill Farm Brewery is located in a beautiful repurposed tobacco barn and has a nice variety of beers on tap. For a farm brewery that grows its own hops I was a little disappointed by the IPAs, but enjoyed the red ale, nut brown ale and stout. This is a nice brewery to come and enjoy a beautiful setting with some good beer, but don't expect a NEIPA.

We attended a family wedding shower at this establishment. It was in a large tented area about 75 feet from the main building. The tent is located on a large asphalt pad so it's clean snd dry. The tables and all of the setup for the shower was very nice. We celebrated in a very rustic outside atmosphere that was very comfortable and similar to what you'd expect indoors. There was an indoor bar and seating area for other patrons to enjoy a beverage. It was open to everyone from our party as well.I'd highly reccomend this business for any outdoor function you'd like to plan.

One of my favorite CT breweries. Love the wide open space outside, food truck varieties, and live music! every time we go we have a good time. Happy to see more of a variety of beers being produced, all the new ones have been very tasty,

Great selection of beer and just a wonderful relaxed vibe. Tons of parking. Although there's a lot of seating, definitely bring folding chairs or blanket to relax in the grass. The musician that played this past Saturday was excellent and made the day that much better.

What a great way to spend a beautiful fall day than under the sun at Hips on the hill. Bring your dog, bring a blanket, bring chairs and a picnic basket. Do not bring your own alcohol. Hops has the beer, cider and wine for a tasting, by the glass or more. The beers and ciders were great, some brewed right on site in their own facilities. From healthy stouts to rugged IPA's they've got your taste buds covered. They do have an inside area it seats about 40 so plan accordingly.

Have been many times and have always enjoyed the beer, music, and culture.Today I saw a woman who worked at the brewery scream at 2 year old and a 3 year old for walking through a planted garden.Having witnessed the incident, the child was 2 feet in before the father intervened. Another child followed after from another family. The second child, after being screamed at by the employee, ran crying to his mother. No one should scream at a child like that, especially one that’s not yours.I understand the rules, but for an employee to react this way to children and then follow up with arguing with the parents in front of 30-40 clients is ludicrous. At least 70% of the clients there today had children with them.Every business is customer service first. There is a right way to handle a situation and a wrong way. This was the incorrect way.

I LOVE it here! Taking my friends and family here has become my new favorite thing to do, they have such a great beer selection that has never disappointed and they host some pretty amazing food trucks, the lobster one is my personal favorite Whether it’s summer or winter I have had great memories here and the fire pits are a plus alongside the cozy barn atmosphere indoors. The service is wonderful as well, I always look forward to my next visit back!

What a great find! Not only is the beer great, but the views are breathtaking. As you drive in you will pass the hops field. The timber frame barn has high ceilings and was cool even on a hot day. We sat outside and enjoyed our beers overlooking the green farm fields. We also tried the cider which was delicious. We plan on trying the local wine, which they serve next time. Can’t say enough about the friendly staff and peaceful ambiance.

What an awesome brewery! One of the few family and pet welcome breweries I have found. Nice outside atmosphere with music, food trucks and allows you to bring your food as well. Well worth the trip. Plan for the whole day.

Hops on the Hill is situated on a beautiful private piece of farmland and has a very inviting barn and yard area for family & friend gatherings! Don't expect the beer to be super strong or extra hoppy. It good German style suds! Loved it!

Very good beer, there is almost always a good truck on site as well! Super friendly staff and the whole space is very relaxing. When we went there were lots of friends dogs and plenty of kids. Several tables inside and out but on a sunny afternoon bring your own chairs.

Very pretty place, I've been there twice. As you drive their lane you drive by the hops field. Beer is mostly German influenced and is not the IPA centric beers of most breweries. Beers were great and I can't wait to see it in the Fall. Only downside is it is a farm brewery so don't expect AC on the hottest summer days.

Amazing experience! Beautiful grounds, tasty beer and Taphouse Kitchen foodtruck. We had the Outage IPA, Vienna lager, citrus sour and citrus pale ale. The outage ipa was perfect at 5.9% and the best tasting I have had! We had a tuna taco and a cheeseburger taco. Cant wait to return!

Beautiful farm/brewery that thankfully is not obsessively focused on IPAs and its tired offshoot, the NEIPA. The beers here are solid with a German influence. The prices are a wee bit higher but its obvious time and money have been put into this endeavor. Outside seating is somewhat limited so people are encouraged to bring chairs and food. I look forward to future visits to see how the beer evolves but even at this early stage its well worth visiting.

This is a new farm brewery situated on a large farm that grows hops and sunflowers. The beer offerings are focused on German lagers and IPAs. All the beers I tried when there were solid. Nice atmosphere. Worth a visit if in the area.

Is it just me, or is something wrong with their beer this year? We did not like any of the beers we had, didn't seem to have this problem last year... Beers were borderline flat and had a very strange aftertaste. No head retention, either. Apparently many people agreed since their full beers were placed in the glass return bin. Great property and place to hang out, otherwise. Not as bad as Powder Hollow beer, though, and they are still somehow surviving. Phil, everything okay?

1st two beers were excellent, as was the food from the truck. Very nice property and atmosphere. 3rd beer was supposed to be the same as the second but was so full of diacetyl I couldn't finish it. After confirming they had just changed the keg, I told them the new one wasn't ready and was full of diacetyl. The response I received was the biggest eye roll ever as she turned and walked away, saying "it's the same."If it was the same, I wouldn't be talking to you right now, lady. I've brewed hundreds of gallons of beer, planted and harvested acres of hops, have visited breweries all around North America, Central America, and Europe, and am a certified Cicerone. All I was trying to do was give some constructive feedback. I did not ask for or want a refund, and I did not expect or want such a disdainful response. Great job ruining a lot of effort from everyone else working there.

My stout was very good (I'd give it an 8). We were wowed by the bucolic setting, the picnic-friendly policy, the laid back, sprawl-on-the-lawn vibe, watching kids play in the field, the blue sky ...

Went today w our kids and a couple friends- place is awesome. Good beer, big open space, kid friendly, pet friendly. Only bummer was that the food truck ran out of food! This place is great, will definitely be back.
