My dogs and I travel a lot in our campervan and we like to find dog parks along our way. This was is up there for size, ground material, water access, shade, and seeing for humans. Also the dogs and people we met were great!

It would be amazing if it could be upgraded. The toys are very old and used, and I feel like if it got an update it would have more people. It’s a nice easy dog park but some of the humans aren’t as nice and don’t always pay attention to their dogs. However, there is a good couple of people who are friendly and amazing! There is clearly abunch of regulars that are always so welcoming

It was an awesome experience!! Met some great people and Mocha had a blast playing with all of the other dogs. This was his first time at a dog park and he is worn out!!

Overall a well maintained and clean dog park with wood chip surfacing.There's a large fenced area for medium/large dogs to play, as well as a smaller fenced area right next to it for small dogs. There's a water area that serves both sides with some bowls and a hose to provide clean water. There are also a number of waste stations that provide bags and bins. A few benches are scattered around the large area, with a decently shaded section near the trees for those that want to get out of the sun.The only issue I've experienced here is that my dog doesn't like walking on the wood chips. There's a huge variety in shapes/sizes and some pieces look rather sharp. His pads are decently toughened, so he hasn't gotten splinters, but he doesn't like walking deeper into the dog park. Near the entrance a lot of the wood chips are well mixed with dirt since it's well worn, but going deeper into the park the wood chips become much more intense.

The dogs were wonderful, the physical park is very nice, with fencing and even poop bags available. However, several of the older humans are not as compatible and welcoming as their fur babies. I did, however meet a lovely young lady who was friendly, helpful and very kind, as was her beautiful pup.I actually recommend you visit this park and its surroundings, just be prepared.

Other parks have more amenities and a more interactive playscape. The one in Hamden, CT is great...wish there was another option in Simsbury, possibly part of the many trails. Gets puddles of water in certain places that might need to be better maintained. There's a dog park in Portland, Maine that is fantastic and part of their trail system-can't even tell it's a dog park when you're in it/hiking around!

One of the best dog parks in the area! It’s completely fenced in and has tons of space for the pups to run. They installed a hydrant there too and there are metal bowls to fill up so I didn’t need to worry about bringing my own! There was also TONS of balls for my dog to play with. Highly recommend :)

Super nice people, shaded, and well kept over all! Toys available for dogs to play with. Water is still not working but bowls are there to fill with your own water.

Conveniently located dog park in Simsbury. They have a separate section for really small dogs and then a community section for everyone else. I've been here on a Saturday and seen about 30+ dogs and also on a Monday when there's barely 5 dogs. Most of the dogs are well behaved. They have a first aid kit on site in case there are accidents.

Nice dog run, good size area for larger dogs. Everyone was nice and friendly, and the dogs were friendly as well. I like the wood mulch on the ground so my pups didn't get too dirty

I attended an event at the performance center near the dog park. Its waaaay Too much dirt in the parking area. Also the dog parking shd be on the other side of the fence when there are events at the arts center.simsbury The parking area really needs to be paved! By the time you walk to the gate, after parking, your shoes are filthy! Not attractive at all. If you cannot pave the lot, at the very least, create a paved walkway to the performance theatre area. That wd be great!

Good dog park, with two sides. One for small dogs and one for large dogs. Both sides have a hydrant to fill water dishes in the warmer months. As with all dog parks, your experience will vary with which dogs are there and how they react with your dog that day.

Great spot in downtown Simsbury to visit and socialize with your dog. Easy access to lots of shops and restaurants. Run by volunteers so remember to donate if you visit and use the park, it is not town maintained so help support the park!

It's always such a delight to go there. The park is split in two. For the big dogs and the little ones. You can always bring the small dogs over to the other side if you feel comfortable. The dogs there are always so good natured and playful.

A good dog park for the town of Simsbury. Plenty of parking near the dog area itself, as well as the bandshell and kid playground spots. Usually a good number of folks around, and well patrolled by the local constabulary.

This a great fenced in park to bring your dog. There is also a smaller fenced in area for the Petite doggies. There’s lots of chatting between the owners and lots of playing between the dogs.

First time there. Good size dog park but in a remote spot making it difficult to find. Has one side for larger dogs, one side for smaller dogs separated by metal fence. I was the only person of color and the only one wearing a mask.

This is not only the BEST park in the county, but also the busiest. People and their dogs come and stay and play and enjoy the excellent facilities that make Simsbury great.
