The flu/covid vaccine line was backed up for hours - I was there for 5:30pm scheduled appointment and people told me in line that they had 4:30 appointments and were still waiting. I didn't even make it to the check-in counter after waiting in that line for 20 minutes and getting yelled at an employee for standing in the wrong line (everyone in front of me was also waiting to check-in for a vaccine) and so I finally left. Schedule fewer people for each time slot!!Also, the older woman at the pharmacy pick up is so mean and rude every time I’m there!

This 5* review is attributable to Mary Lou. She is an "Operations Manager" at this location in Simsbury, CT. Without going into great detail (for personal health reasons) this employee showed consideration, respect and knowledge for a health condition.It would be proper for upper management to take notice of this review and recognize Mary Lou as a HIGHLY valued asset to their organization. If I listed my bad experiences with this it would take too long. Short and sweet, needs to get its sshh-act together. Not always bad though but they seem to make a lot of blunders. Idk maybe it’s just me. I can say they seem extremely busy so it could just be that.

CVS is hands down the WORST place to fill prescription and I don't just mean this location. Talking to a human is near impossible. Id recommend dirty mike and the boys behind Walmart give you mystery meds before recommending any CVS location.

This place has been the worst CVS in the history of the world. They are closed for lunch from 130 to 2. Got there at 1:45 and was there until 245 and they still weren’t open in the drive-through. How can these people be employed?

Just a friendly suggestion, that it would be helpful if the pharmacy is closed for lunch that when you’re calling for the pharmacy that the automated system tells you that they are closed for lunch. Otherwise you are sent into the abyss of hold time, not knowing they are on lunch.

If I could leave 0 or negative stars here, I would. I’ve gone to this CVS out of convenience in location for 3 years. Not ONCE has my experience with the pharmacy been positive. The drive thru line is always 5+ cars long and I am not exaggerating when I say that the wait is never under 40 minutes. They never request or refill prescriptions on time, and will state they never received a request for refill, even when the doctor is on the phone stating they’ve sent multiple requests 2-4 weeks prior. Whomever is at the pharmacy drive thru window never seems to know what’s going on, yet when you call (which is a whole process in and of itself with the automated voice messenger) the pharmacist that answers the phone has an entirely different answer/perspective on the refill and you then have to get BACK IN LINE. This cvs pharmacy is honestly atrocious. I only continue to go out of location convenience between work and home. 0/10 recommend.

My daughter and her friends stopped in today (8/30) to get something to drink around 1:20pm and the person who was working the front register made some inappropriate comments to them. They were talking among themselves about a candy daughter was eating because it turned her mouth a color and the employee told them that they could make his tongue blue. She told him that it was very inappropriate as they were minors. CVS train you employees better.

I desperately needed something and rushed over to this CVS at 9:51pm on a Sunday night. Both online and the posted sign said 10pm. When I tried to go inside the door outside was locked and there was no reason posted as to why they closed early. This is highly unprofessional and super frustrating as I needed something and this CVS was in a convenient location. I will not shop here (or even attempt to) again.

After I was mistreated at Walgeeens by Stacy the Pharmacy Tech, I went to the CVS Pharmacy in Simsbury for my vaccination instead. They were kind, efficient, and helpful. I was in and out very quickly and treated with respect. Totally unlike my experience at Walgreens with Stacy the Phaemacy Tech. Thanks CVS!

Had a prescription that was supposed to be ready in an hour, two hours later still not ready. After being asked to wait another 30 minutes I left. Went back two days afterwards to pick up and was told they were on lunch and to come back in an hour. Will not ever use CVS for anything again!

Every time I had my "controlled" prescription refilled noticed they weren't giving me the number ordered by my doctor. Off by anywhere from 5-15 pills LESS!! Thus is a controlled substance. Brought to their attention and they denied it!! Even brought them down to show them!! Filled by the SAME pharmacistacist every time!! Changing pharmacies and reporting him to the DEA!! Be careful and count your pills while still in the store!!

Simsbury CVS is terrible when it comes to filling perccriptions in a timely fashion. For example: ordered in morning, not ready at 3:30pm, told to come back in 15, wait 20, still not done. Bad service. Had more problems with Simsbury CVS, this time some of scripts were not done, they would not tell me which of them was ready and what was not claiming privacy law. Short story, never received anything, the one that was done the put back and we had to move to different CVS in another town. Corporate did respond, very nice, apologized and said that I was within my rights to ask for that info and waiting that amount of time is unacceptable .

Closed early for break when I went to purchase Cold Medicine at the pharmacy. Sick as a dog, just ring me up and hand me the box. Thanks for nothing. Won't be back to this location.

I wish I could give no stars, recieved a message in the morning they were questioning my 4 year olds antibiotic prescription and calling doctor, I would receive a message when ready to pick up. Here it is 17:19 and I've been on hold for over 30 minutes to see where my daughters antibiotic is!!! Monday my doctor called me in refills on my medication after having major surgery 2 weeks ago. Here it is Wednesday and no medication. Absolutely disgusting how they handle peoples prescriptions. Cannot wait to move my pharmacy. Last time here.

If I could give this place no stars I would. Literally every single time we call in a prescription it will sit and wait unless you go to the store or you call . They for some reason do not fill anything unless you make it abundantly clear that you need the medicine . Not once has it been done without having to call to find out the issue( which there is never one) and no matter if you wait half hour or six hours ( which we have done multiple times...it is always 20 minutes longer they say . This is the worst cvs I have ever been to and I will go to the Avon cvs from now on since they actually know what they are doing . Thanks

Bought a pre-paid card and ended up finding out that it wasn't what I needed. Never opened it, never registered it - brought it straight back to the store and asked for my cash back. I was told the store policy is "pre-paid cards cant be returned unless required by law". I'd say this is pretty ambiguous to say "unless required by law". Anyway - the manager refused to return my money to me despite my intention to turn around and spend the same amount on a different item that would suit my needs better. After a brief argument in which I admittedly used some inappropriate language he said fine I'm doing you a favor and attempted to process the return. He told me it didnt work as his computer system simply wouldnt allow it. At this point I returned home and contacted the bank in charge of these cards. Within 5 minutes I was informed that the CVS Manager had successfully processed the return - and I was now left with a card with zero dollars on it - and no cash refund. I contacted the local police and they went down to the store to speak with the manager. They looked at his system together and found that the return had in fact been processed. I was then called to come claim my cash at the store. I was given two excuses - first I was told that a delay in the systems return process is what caused the manager to think the return didnt work. However, upon leaving the store with my cash in hand the manager told me that it in fact had something to do with a card being swiped twice. In the end they did the right thing and gave me my $50.00 back - but not until I had to jump through multiple hoops and contact local law enforcement to assist as I am CERTAIN that without their help the manager would have continued to tell me to go away. I'll not be returning to this store ever, and I doubt that they want me to anyway.

It's a CVS. They have what you need when you have to come here. The people at this location are pretty helpful and nice. I will never understand the 10 foot long receipt thing though.
