For the size and location, this store has a lot to offer. Unfortunately, many of the prices aren’t clearly labeled and the seafood is questionable. Thanks to a kind cashier, I was saved from buying an $11 carton of eggs. However, I ended up buying a salmon filet that had gone bad. If you shop here, just pay close attention to any meat and seafood that you buy. I hope that my experience was just a fluke.

Their prepared food is delicious, I don't know who does the cooking, but it's really delicious. On par with Whole Foods. Extremely clean and the staff and owner are wonderful.

I can only speak of the deli food and service, but both were fantastic. I have enjoyed several sandwiches from the deli counter, all prepared EXACTLY to my specifications, with generous portions of fresh ingredients. The friendly personnel are prompt and professional, and the food they serve exceeds my already high expectations every time. Simple though it may be, I reccomend a hot pastrami, egg, and cheese sandwich on a hard roll. Breakfast perfection, available early.

Smaller, private like market carrying a good supply of things for the weekend and working week. Fresh produce, organics, fresh bread- some from NYC, a deli, butcher. Good selection of meats. Some things have higher prices than a mega stores, some are very reasonable. Cannot see the store easily from the road. Takes cash and credit, not EBT.

Sherman IGA has a wonderful selection of Filet steaks and store made sausages . We call our order in and picked it up the next day. Nice people who care about the community

Wonderful little community store with fresh produce, great meats and deli, nice variety of high end ingredients. Unbelievable hours to serve the community, open early and late. A wood burning fireplace welcomes you when it's chilly outside. Friendly staff too.

Always the place to go in town when you run out of something. Prices are a little higher than the supermarkets in New Milford or New Fairfield but, you pay a little more for convenience. The staff is always very friendly. Mike the owner is terrific he helps out with town event all the time. The best two things are they always have what you want and the fire in the fireplace on a cold snowy day 😊

I love this old store. You sort fo feel like you've gone back in a time machine when you enter, especially in the colder months when they have a real fireplace going to keep you warm :) Prices and selection are not as good as heading down the road to the Big Y supermarket in New Milford, but they make up for that with all sorts of home-made meals to go, freshly baked cookies and brownies (yummm!), and the ambience of an old general store.

We shop a little in here, mostly for the fresh local milk and some of the store made Shepherd's pies. They have other ready made items and fresh bread. A good looking deli. If you have ran out of something, most likely they have it.

Not great. 50% of the time things are stale or the meat is bad. It’s over priced for the lack of quality. Unfortunately it’s the only place in Sherman. Freezers are all full of ice build up. Veggies go bad the next day. Wish they would step it up a notch considering they’re the only place in town and charge so much. Many residents would shop there more often if it was better quality.

I love this little store it’s perfect for fresh meat, vegetables and seafood especially when you can’t make the long drive into new Milford. Nine times out of 10 they’ve got it even if it is an obscure item which is awesome.

Open early, open late, and always ready to serve, the Sherman IGA offers not only fresh produce and everyday grocery staples, but also upscale beers, cheeses, and other treats. They offer many locally grown products from milk to honey to ice cream and more, and they work hard not only to serve their customers, but also to regularly give back to their community.

Limited selection and the prices can be a bit high on average stuff. They do however, carry some wonderful local things that are worth the price and great in a pinch when you live nearby and don't want to make a trip to a cheaper store that is further out.

Everything is over priced and either expired or gonna be expired in 2 days. I also wanted but it was melted. I also noticed my milk didn’t have an expiration and smelt funny. I’d rather take a 15 minute drive to the big y.

I like Sherman IGA. Since covid, I'd not been to a grocery store, just instacart. Couple of months ago, I stopped at IGA on the way home from a trip; pretty empty store, great masked workers, great selection of beer, cheese, and goodies. I go there a couple times a month now, and I will continue after covid. I got half/half, a ton of fresh veggies, salmon, a roast beef, and this great sandwich today.

The IGA, and Mike in particular, is the heart and soul of Sherman. Please don't buy so much as a quart of milk somewhere else if you live in Sherman. We need the IGA to have the kind of town we deserve.My New York=raised daughter insisted on filets from the IGA for her wedding. Mike has literally seen both kids grow up and their grandparents age and pass. I always leave with a smile on my face.

I like this store but the deli has messed up our sandwiches the last 3 times! They have a fireplace they light every winter. Can eat your food by it!
