Walked into this place as it was closing and all the lights were already turned off. The owner was so accommodating - he let us use the restroom and turned the lights and music back on while we made some purchases. Very cool, laid back atmosphere, with good music and lots of food choices. We bought snacks and didn't get to try any of the sandwiches or coffee, but will definitely come back when in the area again. Place was very clean and organized.

When I discovered Roxbury Market in the eighties, it soon became one of my favorite destinations. I lived in Bethel, but I’d drive up to Roxbury several times a week for sandwiches. It was remodeled sometime in the nineties, and the small back room had tables to enjoy meals with friends. We’d meet there by Jeep, motorcycle, or whatever and sit for an hour sharing a great sandwich, coffee and soft drinks. I moved to Florida in 2004 and miss the Marketplace. But we manage to visit at least once a year when we come back to Roxbury in autumn.

Best coffee and carrot cake in Litchfield County! This is my go to shop for coffee and desserts in the area. Great service and reasonable prices!

Everyone I’ll not recommend you guys to go to this place because the owners has a big problem with mud he would chase you everywhere with the broom and give you a bad attitude because you enter he’s store with dirty shoes, make sure take your shoes off before entering the store, but for my self I’ll never give my money to this store and to the owner.Who on earth don’t have dirt in their shoes..!!!He would be a good house wife for sure.Expensive food and is not even that good like everyone talks about.

Apparently mud is an issue here. Anyway, it's clean inside, coffee was good and very inexpensive compared to on the shore. It's the only game in town and it's convenient. Service is friendly. Architecture fits the historic character of the village, which is a big plus. Altogether a nice place to stop for gas, etc.

Roxbury Market their staff and products are awesome. Kitchen makes delicious breakfast and lunch items. The bakery items are exceptional. Many local artisan jams, jelly, syrups and sauces. The owner runs the cash register, a cordial gentlemen. I make a point of going in that direction, to stop in.

Great little Deli and Market. Their breakfast sandwiches are the best! Great lunch specials and selection there as well. The market itself has quite the selection of dry goods, local dairy and artisan products, even local meats it the freezer. They even have these local eggs you can not seem to find any where else, Toplands Farm eggs, to die for!!! All in all great little place to shop and experience a taste of Roxbury CT, you can get a sandwich and some local goods.

Stopped here on the way home from a short hike. It had a delicious looking selection of baked goods, some great sandwiches, and something over 40 flavors of ice cream. It also had a bunch of local and regional products for sale. If you find yourself in the area, I strongly recommend stopping in and giving them your business!

The salads aren’t worth what they charge for them. The chicken was dry the croutons were pretty much just bread. Not worth 28.00 for a salad burrito and orange juice.

While social distancing we picked up the best bacon egg & cheese on a roll. The roll was crusty outside & soft inside, the eggs cooked to perfection, bacon crispy & cheese nice & gooey. Couldn't ask for more comfort during these uncertain times.

Roach infested! I used to go there a lot to get lunch until one day I was in there and picked out something from the hot case in the gentleman behind the counter grabs the pan put hot food in the deli case and it was roaches running around inside the hot deli case I immediately walked out never again the employee saw the roaches and ignore them if you have roaches running around open food then you know you have an infestation and the owners are too cheap to take care of it but then again this is my experience there and will never set foot in that place again

Best deli and shopping in area. Not sure what the others user was talking about as the proprietor could not be nicer and the store is very very well run. They just started selling Ferris Acres ice cream which is insanely good and saves a trip to Newtown.

The cashier was so rude I ended up taking my daughter and eating outside just to get away from his huffing and puffing. The tortellini salad was completely spoiled and inedible. The chicken was amazing though.

Best deli sandwiches from here to Philadelphia. This is a local institution, and should be considered a national treasure. Very nice looking spot, very nice staff.

Make sure you wipe your shoes off and knock boots off in the winter or you will be chased by a broom by the owner who has OCD about clean floors
