Nice, clean place, good prices on a good selection of items in a relatively small store. Staff is nice, and helpful too. The dog wash is a great bonus, well laid out, thoughtfully and adequately equipped with aprons, towels, treats, and even a high power, low heat blow dryer. Washing your pet yourself here is inexpensive:1/4 to 1/5 the price when compared with places that wash your dog for you. That alone is worth the visit, but a clean, happy dog is what you'll have on top of the savings!

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. All of the dog food choices are high quality. My dog really loved the washing station (it was his best bath ever). All this along with the great rewards program, I won’t go anywhere else.

I went here to wash my large dog. The self serve is extremely clean and easy to use. There are also steps to the elevated wash tubs (made of tile) so you don't have to lift your dog. It also is designed so you can stand while washing vs. bending over. It was 10 bucks with towels and soap. Did I mention the hairdryers?

What a great idea. A place with raised tubs to wash your dog. And only $10 including towels, shampoo, conditioner, and an awesome high pressure drying thing. Very friendly and helpful staff, and Sunday hours are a plus.

Everyone is always pleasant and helpful. They have DIY dog wash with soap,towels,blow dryers, and a dog treat. It's always clean and neat. They also have a groomer too if you prefer a pro do it. They have a variety of dog,cat,and small animal supplies.

Went in with my dog for a reflective collar. Only one clerk there. He had to leave cash register to help me. I needed guidance on the size of a reflective harness. No collars, I guess. He wasn't sure. Suggested an extra large. I'm returning it. Too heavy and bulky. A clerk who could help me would have been great. Especially since I brought in the dog to be fitted.Maybe 2 Staff would have been better.

Good selection. Great customer service! I find the prices on food to be competitive with other pet stores. The dog wash is fantastic with warm water and plenty of towels.

Adorable! Never been inside before! Wasn't really looking for anything in particular, but received help quite quickly and ended up getting my dog an amazing wool coat and Christmas treats for my families dogs, loved it and would definitely be going back!

No concept of customer service.A couple of month ago, I was there to wash my dog. I like the wash tubs and i think it is a great service. At that time they advertised/told me that they also do grooming (nails for my dog) and people can drop in. Great, I thought!A couple weeks later, I show up with my dog. Strike 1. I did not have a rabbi certificate, although she wears vet tags. Oh well...Return a week later with my certificate after going to the vet to get (on a Saturday). Groomer is out because of some personal issues. Strike 2. Front desk person is rather not apologetic. Also, I have to insist she takes my certificate and file it so I don't have to bring it next time I come.Came back the following Sunday. Strike 3. They don't offer grooming on Sunday. Really, dog parents depends on weekends for these services. FYI, Petco grooming is open on sunday... and there I went.Back today (12/14). Was sent to wait by the grooming area by the manager who was by the register. . Finally after 10 minutes, I am told iby the groomer that I cannot get my dog's nails done because they have one dog in the grooming area who is stressed out.. really? Strike 4. You could seriously not do my dog nails because of a stressed dog? To do the nails of my dog takes 5 minutes! You charge $15, great per hour rate. But it takes me 25 minutes to drive back and forth and you wanted me to come back later in the day. CRAZYI gave a piece of my mind to the manager. She did not care at all... Her attitude was like "sorry, computer says no". No empathy, no sense of service and no sense of who pays her paycheck.Petco, Here i come again.So sad. Wanted to support this new local business. You have exhausted me and I gave you 2 chances too many. Shame on me.

Very First time bringing our Fur Baby in for a do it yourself bath.Only $10.No Leaning over the bath tub at home(Save Our Backs).Crew working there,were Very Helpful and Kind.Would Definitely Recommend Pet Value do it yourself bath.....

Ok selection of pet products. Can be a bit pricey, depending on what you're looking for. Mostly cat and dog, with little to no small pet selection. Staff is just there to ring you out and not very outgoing or personable.

VERY upset with the petvalu manager. This is the second time that I have gone there to give my golden retriever a bath and the dryer broke right off while I was drying him. The manager looked at me like I had ten heads when I told him the dryer was broken. This is the second time that my dog had to leave completely dripping wet. Also as we were leaving the washing area (which is a gated little area with tubs, he put a big German Shepard inside while we were still in there and he went after my poor little puppy. Needless to say we are not going back. I love the idea of having tubs like this for people to use, but not if they are constantly breaking and not with a manger that makes me feel stupid for pointing something out and putting my pup in danger. Also still made me pay for a full price bath even though I couldn’t dry my dog...

This store is closing in 1 more day. There wasn't much available but I was able to pick up Natural Balance 12 lb. bag of dog food for $6.40. The original price was $39.99. Huge savings but only for 12/28/2020

I've only been twice.1st time, putnam location ,place was neat and clean. Helpful with questions on products. Quick service when checking out. 2nd time was at the Brooklyn store, had to return items, again, very professional, quick service.

Employees are nice and helpful. Best thing for me is they carry live crickets and mealworms. Also like being able to donate to local animal shelters while I'm there.
