I am relatively new to this area and this business will be my go to hardware store. Outshines all the chain stores that I frequented in RI.I was there a few days ago and I am happy to say that they still have excellent service and helpful staff.

I went and had two keys copied. They were done quickly and they got it right on the first try. I didn't have to have them re-cut. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful!

Stopped here to have spare keys made for my 01 F150. They had 2 available. The nice young lady made one and asked me to to check that it worked. It was good. She made the second key. When she rang up the purchase, I was shocked at the price of $169.29. I asked her to repeat it. The keys have a security microchip. I immediately checked Amazon for a cost comparison for the key blank alone. 2 chip keys for my vehicle, $16.00. How do you justify a 10000percent mark up?

Oh I like this hardware store better than the big box stores because of the personal service. My husband had to find a tiny screw for and unusual curtain rod and he was able to get it with the help of one of your guys. Also, I can get my lamps fixed there!

This is my favorite hometown hardware store. They are always pleasant and helpful. I often have strange hardware requests and they can always help me find a solution for whatever project I'm working on.I went in yesterday and they helped me remove a statue from a stone base. I don't have a socket set and that's what was required. I didn't want to buy one, and they helped me anyway. WITH A SMILE!

Most of the associates are knowledgeable about the stock and helpful. The Manager was particularly helpful to me. The parking is ample. The stock is extensive. One can earn credits toward future purchases, which is nice.

Not that the store is outdated, quite the opposite, they have EVERYTHING, and they have the best Employee's to make sure you get exactly what you need. The Aubuchon Hardware store in Putnam is a great place to go when you need something quick for a project. If they do not have what you are looking for, they normally have suggestions for a good substitute. If they don’t have that, they can normally tell you where you can go to get what you need. Always very helpful and they make you feel welcome. I have been going there for many years and have always been very satisfied.

I am incredibly grateful for the kind gentlemen who were working today. I was stranded with my nieces and needed a jump. It may not have the extensive selection of a Home Depot, or a Lowe’s, but it has most things you may need to check off items on your Honey-do list. They have a wide variety of hardware, easy parking at the front and back of the store, friendly, helpful staff, and an easy to access discount program. Sometimes, you really don’t want to make that trip to the big box store, and you really don’t have to with Aubuchon very near the heart of Putnam.

Hardware stores are in a difficult position, unless they are the size of a warehouse. But unless you need something unusual, Aubuchon is likely to have it. The staff is helpful, and can order things that aren't kept in stock. They also provide services such as key grinding.

They were amazing. I had a base to a ceramic christmas tree that needed to be rewired made in 1969. He fixed it with new wiring so I can plug in my mom's tree!!

I don't know how they do it but they always seem to have the things I'm looking for.A weird size bolt...yes.A paint color your child wants... yes.A gerre cord for outside Christmas lights... yes.And on and on.Thae staff are very friendly and helpful, even if you can't keep up when they bring you to the right place.

I just waited 10 minutes at the paint counter and nobody asked if they could help me. Talked to the manager and his excuse was that the paint person was on break. There were at least three men near the register and not one acknowledged my presence. Usually I shout out but I decided to just wait and see.
