I’m so glad I chose this place for my dog! I adopted my senior dog 4 months ago. She has a really hard time with her ears and gets aggressive. When I called and explained the situation, the woman said the vet will try her best and if not my dog would need anxiety meds and another visit. Well, they were able to do everything at the visit, no anxiety meds! You guys do an awesome job, and for how well you did will my girl I will always recommend!

I switched from Naugatuck VCA to Prospect and it’s the best choice i ever made for my pets care!! The staff is very friendly & always answers your questions/concerns. The wait time is very short, and you can tell they genuinely care about your pets wellbeing. 100% recommend! ☺️

I love everyone here at Prospect Veterinary Hospital. They took care of many of my fur babies while I lived in Waterbury. We moved to Griswold for 9 plus years and moved back to Terryville. I made an appointment for my cat Lucky and I was surprised to see that they had all the files from my last 3 dogs I had when living in Waterbury. They are a very caring staff and go out of their way to make an urgent care appointment and then treat my pet, and myself, with the most loving care and consideration. Unfortunately Lucky passed from cancer and I can't begin to express the gentle care they gave her when she was euthanized. They comforted us and treated Lucky as though she was their fur baby getting ready to go over the rainbow bridge.They treat each appointment with much love and are so attentive to my pets. They now treat are new tabby Lex and he feels very comfortable with the staff.

All of the staff were very kind and helpful. Even though it was very busy at the time of our appointment, the doctor took time with my dog and had so much patience with her. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing and friendly staff. My special needs kitty and foundling kitty have accepted them without extreme fear and I love that the kitty and doggy waiting areas are technically separate. Their costs for services are more reasonable than VCS Naugatuck whom I switched from. I recommend them to anyone seeking care for their extended family members others call "pets"

I've been using Prospect Vet Since its opened I mainly saw Dr Gruska always highly satisfied!! After many years of wonderful care Dr Gruska is getting close to retirement and has reduced his hours. I truly will miss him, but I was so please to see he has left us in grwat hands with loving and caring staff who continue to provide excellent care of our babies! I recently had a visit with Dr Clancy she is amazing so kind and all heart in the love and care for our pets! I Highly recommend her!!! Kathleen

We love the care our pup gets here. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, and they don't tell us to bring her in for minor occurrences... which is a big money saver for us.

The worst experience i ever had dealing with a veterinary office .Thought I had developed a relationship over the past 4 years . spending thousands of dollars on services and appointments only to be told to go to the emergency clinic when I had an issue with my elderly dog and cat. I wasnt looking for special treatment . I had senior pets that needed veterinary care but I could not get an appointment. I was told I sound like a spoiled brat because I NEEDED help for my 13+ frenchie and 16+ cat. Refusing ear medication which was on back order but they had in stock stating they were not a " dispensary " which led to my cat going deaf and my beloved , beloved dog having to go to a strange vets office for care. The front reception staff were the worst i have ever come across. Rude and made me feel so insignificant. They were so unfriendly and barely acknowledged me when I came for my appointment. They were my babies . they refused to help them. They were too busy. I could get an appointment weeks away.I needed help now. On the chance that I could get an appontment because of a cancellations they would charge me $40 more for that appontment. Why ???Was i getting any special care ?? Ridiculous. Unfortunately both have passed away . I am heartbroken I had to fight for my pet to get care. I know they had issues with staffing but never preparred for the result s of that. Because of that my boy had to take the brunt of it. They may see me as an overly concerned pet owner . I was there maybe a little more ofter than the average person but my boy had issues. He was ill and i just wanted to help him. He was a part of my soul . I was made to feel like i was a ridiculous pet owner. Maybe so but I would rather be overly concerned than the opposite.Just my experience with this office. I know they will see things differently but this was my feeling.

After an October 2023 move, I found this vet just down the road not even ten minutes away from my current address. Though I'll always miss Dr. Gavaletz in Branford who was my family's long-time veterinarian, and Dr. Schaper before his time running Branford Vet, I find that Prospect Vet comes somewhere around an 8.5 to a 9 out of 10. In short, almost as good as my dog's old vet. Making it even better is his current groomer is right next door to the vet's office, making it a "one stop" location for my pooch's needs.

I really like it here. They separate the cats and dogs and make sure everything is taken care of. I've been bringing my dogs here for a while and I've never had a problem, only great care! Highly recommend. Also, a clean facility.

Love it they are very respectful and they helped me a lot with my cat and dog and even one time I broke down(my car) in front from an appointment. A vet came out with her personal jumper. I bring my dog for his hip and they have x rays and do surgery. I have a pitbull and some vets around didn't even want to touch him.They asked is he aggressive and when I say no they take him without any problems... Love it here. Very passionate about the animals and treats them so well. Both my cats and my dogs don't mind coming to the vet. The workers are honest and upfront about anything. They have helped me out so much with my pets. Definitely would recommend to others. I drive a half hour now just to keep my pets happy and healthy!

Dr. Werner did AMAZING with Apollo. (All the Drs do great with my 3 other dogs as well which is why i needed to get him in here) but getting Apollo in was very last minute as I wasn’t expecting to get a puppy, especially one that had been hit by a car and had broken fingers. Dr. Werner went above and beyond for us. She made sure she could get him in for all his checkups and always made herself available if we needed to give her a call. She was very personable, which I love so much! She answered all of my questions thoroughly that I never left wondering anything. I know Apollo and my other 3 pups will always be in the best possible care with the Prospect Vet team ❤️
